Hi, Suzanne!

Where is everyone???

Angela - Please let us know how your appt went. We're all worried about you!

Sinnrah - Emily is a cutie!!

I am exhausted today. Insomnia hits every 2 weeks or so for 2-3 days. On top of it, I have a pretty bad sciatic nerve pain today from doing too much last night. I have a nesting instinct going on, and I'm cleaning out our dressors and closet. DH has a LOT more clothes than I do. What's wrong with this picture??? He refuses to throw anything out. We're keeping the baby in our bedroom for now, so we really need room badly. I donate 2 bags of clothes every few months, but DH keeps accumulating his. Not to mention other junk he owns...

Morning ladies! Well, I had my second injection last night. It was much better than the first. I didn't even feel the poke and it didn't start to sting until after the needle was out. So, it was much easier. And, I can already tell it's working... I got a massive bloody nose this morning. I was afraid that would happen, it happened last time I was on blood thinners. They just gush. Aww well... it's a small price to pay for this miracle.

Fluffi: I got my book yesterday from State Farm! Thank you so much for posting that link! What a great book!! I hope you get some rest and start feeling better!

Aphex: You sound so happy! I'm so glad you are feeling well!

Suzanne: Morning!

Tracy: Keep me posted on where you find that stuff and how it's working for you!

Tracy and Sarah - I stopped going to GNC because they are so darn expensive, even with their Gold Card! Do you have a Vitamin Shoppe nearby? They are much cheaper.

Sarah - Sorry to hear about your bloody nose! I can imagine if that happened everyday, you'd become anemic. I hope it gets better! I got the book from State Farm too. I haven't started reading it yet, but I will soon!

Hi Everyone -

This has been such a long week. I am so looking forward to the weekend!!! My DD has her dance recital on Sunday and my mom and stepdad are coming out for it.

I can't believe how bad my sleeping has been. I am so uncomfortable sleeping that it is driving me crazy. I can only imagine how much worse my sleeping is going to get. I really don't remember it being this bad with DD!

I have to go to an informal OSHA meeting for a complaint that we received. One of our band members complained that the noise level on stage is too loud. First, we have them wear earplugs and ear monitors. The day he made the complaint, was the day after he was informed that we were downsizing the band. We had an independent company come in and do sound level testing and she basically said it was a bogus complaint!

Thininmex - Hope your day isn't too busy with the big group of divers!

FluffiB - Hope you are feeling ok!!! I hear you on the insomnia! My DH has a tons more clothes than me!!

Tracy2 - My DH is the same as yours! I can't believe some of the stuff that he keeps!!! I go through the office and closet at least once a month to clean out the crap!!!

Mrs. Sarah - Glad to hear the shots are getting easier! Sorry that you are getting bloody noses!

Sinnrah - Emily is absolutely adorable!

Angelhope - Thinking about you!!!! Please update us when you can!

Have a good morning!

Wendy

Sarah- glad the injections are getting easier (ouch!) As always, a downside, anything the doc can do about the nosebleeds?

I called GNC this morning and they have a bottle of 60 primose oil capsules for $7.99. Not too bad I guess. I don't know of any vitamin stores around here

Will let you all know if it seems to be helping!

Sarah, sorry to hear about the nose bleed.

Sinn, sorry you didn't get any sleep! Soon you are going to look back on these first few months as the easiest time in Emily's life. Wait until you have a two year old! I would go nuts if I didn't get some "alone time".

Wari, that is pretty suspicious about the band member complaining the day of downsizing.

Tracy, I am curious to hear how the herbs work for you. Heidi and Tigerlily seemed to have pretty good births. I have my borage seed oil but need to get someone to bring me some raspberry leaf tea. I figure that if daily sex didn't work for me last time, I need something additional help when the time comes.

Speaking of which, for those of you being induced, especially VBACs, you should read up on the horrors of Cytotec. One of the woman doctor's I interviewed had a bottle right next to her examination table, so she got knocked off the list. I was really surprised when someone on this board wrote that they had been induced with Cytotec, as the only FDA approved use for it is as an ulcer medication. Here in Mexico, there was a big fuss in the papers because it is sold over the counter--as an ulcer remedy--but women are buying it for home abortions. I'll get off my soap box now, but here's a good link:

Cytotec

Thanks for the info!

I bought the Primose oil today but the borage seed oil was $25 for a small bottle at GNC That's a little outta my price range. I am gonna start with the Primose oil today (3) 500mg capsules a day in hopes that in 3 weeks when they strip the membranes for me I will be ready! Will let you all know if it works for me.

Morning.

I am soooo tired today. My sleep has been terrible the last few days. I keep waking up every hour or two with sore hips or pain in my shoulders. So this morning I came home and took a nap in the big easy chair. Ahhh! So good. Think I'll take another one this afternoon.

Hi everyone! Its been an interesting day today.

I had my OB apt. this morning. They had me hooked up to the non-stress test machine for about 45 minutes ! I didn't eat breakfast, so they made me drink a juice box (even though he was moving) THEN the sugar in that made him go crazy and they kept losing the heart rate because he kept kicking the monitor thingy. Then he had hick-up's and so the monitor wasn't keeping the HR in consistently. Then he decided to go to sleep and she wanted him to move. Anyhow... she then tried poking my stomach and banging spoons, but he was going to sleep through it all.

She also checked to see if he was in the head down position, and she said she was pretty sure he was. They also decided starting next week I have to come in twice a week for the non-stress tests. blah... thats going to be fun to fit into my work schedule.

I JUST got into the office about an hour ago. I went to see a client... I think borderline males are my least favorite people to work with. That wasn't a fun meeting... so now I have another meeting set up with several people for next week because of some of these issues. Ah well...

I'm finally going to do the rest of my returns tonight from my baby shower. Lauren, you are so good getting yours done so quickly!

Hopefully Jason will get the crib up tonight then maybe I can post pics tomorrow

Sorry for writing such a long novel!

Angela: Hope to hear from you soon! I'm keeping you in my prayers today

Sin: Love the pic of Emily

Tracy: Deffinately keep us posted on how you think the primrose oil works. Is the borage oil supposed to be better? Is that why its more expensive?

Suzanne: Thanks for the link!

Wendy: The OSHA meeting doesn't sound like fun Hope you make it through it successfully!

Sarah: Do you have to have an injection EVERY day?! Thats not cool!

Katie: How frustrating that your DH is such a pack rat. Mine doesn't have more clothes than I do, but he does keep a bunch of useless memrobilia stuff. He has all these mugs and crap from high school / jr. high events. Not sure what he is planning on doing with them. I'm the exact opposite... I end up getting rid of too much stuff and realize later I should have kept it!

Ladies, I need your help. We've been trying real hard to conceive this month, like every 36-48 hours, LOL! Well, I believe that I ovulated on Tuesday and we did have intercourse that day. Later that day I had some very light red staining in my mucous that came out and then yesterday some more light staining, but it was more brownish. I had heard that you can have this staining during and after ovulation so I was not concerned and actually kind of excited that it could be from ovulating. Well, today my husband and I had intercourse again and I ended up with a light red blood flow and terrible cramps and am concerned, because it looks like what my period does when it starts. Does this sound normal? I pray that it isn't my period. I don't have any other signs that it could be my period (increase hunger, breast tenderness, higher basal temp, crabbiness, etc). Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

Amy

Amy, that happened to me. I used OPK's and when I got a positive, we had sex for 3 days straight. Exactly 4 days later, I had brownish red spotting and was upset because I thought it was my period. Well, another 8 or 10 days later I tested and was positive! It didn't show up until I was about 3 days late though.

Baby vibes to you!

Trisha: Yep, everyday! Actually I'm happy about that, because the shot I was originally going to take was twice a day!

metroames: It could be implantation spotting. Is it enough blood to fill a pad or tampon, or just a little bit? When is TOM due?? I hope this is it for you!!

The blood the last two days was just a little staining in the mucous.....today it is a light flow...enough to fill a light pad. I don't think it is implantation bleeding as it has been only two days since I suspect I ovulated. I've been checking my mucous, cervix and temp. Tuesday my cervix was high, soft and the opening was wide open and my temperature was the lowest I've seen (96.8 ). Yesterday my cervix was still high, but the opening was narrower and my cervix felt firmer and my temperature has been on the climb the last few days and my mucous has become more tacky like instead of clear and slippery. Is it possible that it just got irratated down there. I was also wondering if the cervix developes a type of plug at the opening after ovulation that might have gotten knocked lose. I dunno, I'm just afraid of getting my period so soon, because I used to get it every 2.5 to 3 weeks before I started the pill in colleage....I don't want that to happen again. Hopefully, it stops.

Amy, implantation bleeding can happen as soon as a couple of days after intercourse, but if it's filling a pad, it's probably your period. Just wait until the day you expect it and test! Look for signs like really sore boobs, peeing every two hours all night, acne, nausia, that kind of thing. How long have you been trying?

Well, this is really the first month we've been trying. I wouldn't say the blood is enough to fill a regular pad....but enough to fill a light day's pad. Although, the amount could be deceiveing since we did have intercourse and his fluid are probably coming out too.

Have your cycles been irregular since getting off birth control? Sometimes I would have two periods in one month and nothing for 6 weeks Strange, but I really never knew when mine was coming. Just give it a week to 10 days and test with an EPT. I really like those.

Metro, I think you are in one of those wait and see situations. No matter how you describe your mucous, discharge, bleeding, etc, you'll find a dozen women who will say "I had that same thing and I was pregnant" and another dozen who will say "I had that same thing and I wasn't pregnant". I know it is hard to be patient and wish you the best of luck.

My nanny went home for lunch today and never came back. A few hours later her sister came by to say that Rosa had had an "attack" and couldn't come back to work. After much questioning, it sounds to me like epilepsy. I asked one of my other employees and he said, "Oh yeah, she used to have attacks all the time at school." Great! I am kind of pissed that she didn't tell me; I am leaving her alone with my two year old! On the other hand, I know lots of people can function really well on medication. DH says we should let her stay on but not after the baby is born.

HELLO TO EVERYONE!!!!

Hi all, I haven't been around.

I've been outside (it's gorgeous, and I want to get as much as I can before it gets too hot) and I've also been knitting like a madwoman!

I went for my ultrasound on Monday and she's perfectly fine. She's got these really chubby cheeks !!! In four weeks she's gone from 12 oz to 1 lb, 13 oz!

I might not be around too much for a bit, enjoying non internet things so plz keep me on the list!

Hi Ladies

a quick pop in for nose bleed help, this works well to stem the bleeding.

Take a inch wide strip of paper towel fold it tightly (like 1/2 thumb size) end over end.
Place folded small sqare firmly under you upper lip against your gums above your two front teeth, press against gums with lips or finger.

Even for gushers it usually stops my nosebleeds in 20 -40 secs.
If still bleeding try a cold washrag against the back of your neck also. But try not to put your head back or you will end up swallowing all the blood and it is quite nasty when/if you vomit it.

I get minimum daily at least once bloody noses. (ahhh the joys of that extra blood flow )

Try that Sarah, and hopefully it will work for you.
Ernes´grandfather was a Doctor and when he first showed me I was like you are nuts! but it worked right away and without that nasty clot.

I need to run, catch you all laters

Hi everyone, Ellen (Teach2Live) told me about your thread. I found out Wed. that I am pregnant (been 10 years since the last one). I have had to deal with Morning Sickness (already) that has lasted pretty much all day but it's been rather mild. When I was pregnant for my dd during my 2nd, 3rd & 4th month I had it 24 hours a day and very, very sick, like every 30 minutes I was getting sick..... I am praying that doesn't happen this time. I have found that right now the only thing to keep the sickness at bay has been crackers, I tried some lower carb whole wheat ones this morning but.... yuck, I only got halfway through one and it turned my stomach... so far the only thing I can eat that helps has been pretzels or cheezits (I know they aren't the best nutritionally but it's all I can handle right now, lol) I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with morning sickness and found any other low carb snacks that seemed to help with their morning sickness... it needs to be something I can (hopefully) keep at bedside for the morning.... I am going to talk to my doctor about switching to South Beach for the pregnancy right now I am not doing anything (I stopped Atkins when I found out I was pregnant).... Any advice you guys can offer would be very welcome, I am terrified of gaining weight back and I am worried about having a baby at this weight so I would rather lose a little more if I could do it safely (but of course I have to go with my doctors orders).... even though I am off Atkins I am still (other than the pretzels & crackers) staying away from white foods (pasta, bread and so on).........
