Hi Carol. I had the same thought about the rain this morning. Felt nice and it is good for my newly planted pots.
No aches, pains or worry here....but the day is not over. To the Salt Mines. |

Good morning, Maintenance Crew! I will learn all your real names in time. Mine is Elaine.
No rain here today. The temperature was 32 degrees, however, when I left for work this morning. BTW, I am the director of a legal research and writing program at the University of North Dakota. I supervise a staff of 5 law students during the school year and run the operation with the help a legal assistant and an occasional student during the summer months. I was able to avoid the temptations of Mr. Peanut who was screaming for me to let him out of the vending machine yesterday. I said, "Oh, no, sir. I am living a clean reinduction and there is no room in my life for you at this moment." Yeah, that drew some curious stares from students passing in the hallway. I hope all you Vintage Maintainers have a good day. I have just cracked open my second 33.8 ounce bottle of sparkling water flavored with Splenda. Life is good. Now, back to work.

HI to all
Rain free here today I hope. My flower pots are still in the drying out mode. I might take them out of shelter later this week to catch some sun and 80 degree temps. Shawnee that is a beatiful get away spot. How far are you away from your SIL's place? Frequent get aways might be in order. Jackie that dirty man plant is looking great. Sure grows in a hurry, typical. Where are you all finding your Dreamfields's pasta? How is the count down progressing, I have lost count. Linda are you still checking your blood sugar on different food items? That pasta might be just fine. Lol on that 6 months of winter and 6 months of construction. Lots of pot holes to get fixed. IT was like that in Chicago. Did you get your Roomba? Elaine what type of legal researching are you doing? Or is that a secret. Sounds like you have an interesting job there plus working with law students. Lots of challanges there. Congrats on that will power. Sometimes we must just say NO. No matter how loud that the call. Sunshine here but still on the cool side. Tomorrow will be warmer. Suzy and I are getting along fine today and she will be ready to quit soon, before she gets FIRED. I am wearing her down. l8ter HI to the rest of the bunch, Zip, SuSUN, Ginny (aka Dock Goddess) Pam if you are lurking and Mommy Dragon. |

Finally dragging this tired ol butt in here to say hi to everyone.
Shawnee, it's great that you are getting some much needed rain but not so good for you and your time in the yard. I still see no sign of my potted hosta popping up. Wonder if I killed it. Yes, how many trips are you planning to your SIL's lovely retreat? It's so beautiful there. Just one finger giving me fits. Darn arthritis anyway. Jackie, so how many more days do you have left before summer vacation? Hope your day went well. Loretta, it's going to be in the 80's there?? Wow. It's only going into the high 50's here for the rest of the week if you can believe the weather person. Wally world carries Dreamfield's pasta as well as several of our local grocery stores. As Jackie said, it's in with the regular pasta. No Roomba yet. DH said to wait to see if the price goes down. MEN!! Elaine, your job sounds quite interesting. Hopefully you enjoy it. How much longer do you plan to work or are you too young to retire? LOL I can just imagine what those students thought about you talking to the vending machine. How much longer will you stay on induction? Julie, hope you are enjoying yourself. Ginny, Susan, Pam, Dragon, Ray and lurkers, check in will ya? We miss you. Roger, how's that chin strap working out? I couldn't find what I wanted at the pharmacy so I woke again early with my mouth as dry as Death Valley. I just might order something over the internet. This lack of sleep is getting OLD. Ditched work today and it was nice. Guess I'll really think seriously about getting out of this part time contract work very, very soon. It's cutting into ME time. Off to catch up around here. Linda |
