Update on my Pre-Maintenance
Hello again everyone!! Are you sick of hearing from me yet?!
![]() Okay... since the last post this is what I has happening... I finally weighed on Thursday morning and was up six lbs from the cheating that I have been doing.. I was pissed but I stayed focused and determined to conquer this... I looked over my menus and saw that each morning I was having half an apple.... Thinking back, when I was eating those I thought-- wow these are sweet... Maybe those are causing my cravings (more sugar)... so Thursday morning I didn't have an apple and I absolutely had a great food day on Thursday... I drank a little extra water and holy cow... woke up on Friday morning and 4 lbs were gone.. yes that is alot so not for sure what was going on.. Yesterday I skipped the apple again and another great food day... this morning woke up to being back to my siggy weight.... so I am thinking.... I have two options... 1. Do not eat apples again!! 2. Try to keep the half an apple for an evening snack and see how the following day goes.... What do you think? Could the natural sugar in the apples been causing my cravings? It does sound weird but hey... something happened and I am happy to be back to siggy weight and looking forward to continue on Pre-Maintenance with full force and dtermination.... Thanks everyone for your support during my "crisis".. ![]() Juls ![]()

Whether the apple is causing your problems or not depends on the rest of your menu and the carb level you are used to. Have you been eating fresh fruits on a semi regular basis? Does it put you over your usual carb level? Are you adjusting your carb count to accomodate the apple?
I usually eat fresh fruit a couple of times per week and don't get cravings. Maybe cut back to 1/4 apple a couple of times a week and then to half apple a couple times a week and see how you feel. But eventually you should be able to eat fresh fruit on a regular basis. |

Jugo - One question. Since you seem to think the apple was causing the cravings are you also assuming it caused your weight gain or was the weight gain because you ate a lot more due to the cravings? Long question but I just can't imagine 1/2 apple doing that. If so, now I know why I haven't started eating apples. I have been tempted.
