Vintage Maintainers Friday, April 23

Guess I'm the first one here so I'll get this started.

Roger when is the ship going to pass by your place again? We will all be looking forward to a picture.

Not much going on here today except housework and running off to pick up some wonderful spaghetti sauce for dinner on Sunday.

Gerard found some low carb pasta (soy free) at Wegmans that we will try but we are too lazy to make our own sauce, so I'll buy some. We have several really good Italian restaurants in the area but Little Venice is the best IMHO.

Moms will be here Sunday because we are going to be busy the next few weekends with a memorial service and several 1st Communions and won't be able to do dinner.

Hope all of you are having a good day.
Later.

HI Linda and all who follow

More rain here and everything is really green out there. Grass sure needs a mowing. Some of the plants will be drowned. I have most in shelter though ( the potted ones) More rain all weekend.

Not much going on here either. I sure have some "things to do" in the house. Maybe the rainny day will let me catch up.
I have been working on my towel project and getting them to come out fairly decent.

Hope you and Gerard enjoy that low carb pasta. I have not ventured out for any of it. I use my cabbage noodles with spagetti sauce and meat balls. Glad you got a few days off. Enjoy the moms visit on Sunday.

Swamped today!! Curves this morning and then bowling. Chuck babysat madison and Logan until I got home and I have them the rest of the day. Then we go out for dinner and to our community theater for "Jesus Christ Superstar." Madison got her glasses right before we got her today so going through her getting use to them. She's a trooper and doing ok. Tomorrow is cleaning for our out of town inlaws who will be here for about 18 hours. Grrrrr Oh well the house will get a little clean. Off and running again....

Not much going on either -- had a nice lazy day and look forward to more lazy time this weekend.

The recent rain has really greened things here also and looks great!! Snow in the mountains and rain here -- sounds about right!!

My first hummingbirds have returned and things are "humming" on the front porch.

Have a good one......

Hi Guys!

Whew! Glad this last 3 days is over! It is long, I wish I could work 1/2 or 3/4 days.

Roger,
I'm gonna need your help. I have a big writing assignment to do! This is not my forte. I have lots of knowledge in the old noggin but not sure how to express it concisely. I am starting with a FAQ for facilitators of the groups, then I have to reveiw a binder that another agency has asked us to review.
If I could perfect this skill maybe I could work from home and do 1/2 days without the commute. I had better stop dreamin!
Are you still enjoying the view of the QE2? I hear Katie Couric is holding a fund raiser in the ballroom for Colon-Rectal Cancer with all the Celebs tomorrow night.
Hope that nasty respiratory bug is finally on the run!

Julie,
Good for you off to Curves agin, and bowling!
How wonderful to babysit your grandkids! Whooohooo cant wait!
Seems DD is having lots of company from England for the Baptism in October. I will be hosting at least 1 couple, so that means major cleaning for me too! I had better start now!
I have an album of "Jesus Christ Superstar". I loaned to it a friend quite a few years ago. She had it for a couple of years. Then we remembered and asked her for it back. She returned it, no problem.

Loretta,
Sounds like you are having British weather! It is so good for the grass, plants and your skin.
I forgot you were sewing the towels. They are so cute. You will have to get a site on ebay!
How is Leah? Hope she is still improving, bless her.
Those cabbage noodles are great. I love them with the creamy alfredo too. Do you have a good recipe for LC cole slaw?

Linda,
We have got to trim this work down to half days, we are not getting any younger. I have 4.5 years to work yet. How much more for you?
Mouth droolin at the thought of that sauce. Enjoy! Report on that pasta too!
Yes, it is the month of May soon; Our Lady's month! I had forgotten that is the time for the children to make their first Holy Communion. I think I made mine May 13th, Our Lady of Fatima's feast day. Those memories still imprinted on this old brain.

All is going well at this end. DD is still growing and all is well, we are on the count down now to July 8th.

An older man that she sees on her walks just noticed the other day that she is pregnant and he asked what she was going to call the baby. She said Ella, he asked her twice and then he said is that a muslim name. He thought she said Aliah! not sure how to spell it.

Drink that crystal water, do some physical activity and have a great LC weekend.
