Vintange Maintainers... Monday
Hi everybody,
I found a way to get some good symptomatic cold relief. Two years ago my doctor called in a ALLEGRA prescription for a case of vertigo...I never took them. One worked pretty well last night and allowed some sleep. I remember I was prissed off at how $pricey$ they were but I'm glad I found them. Supposed to work for 12 hours so I'll take another late morning. I guess a cold and an allergy are the same histamines, just two different causes for their release. On that Service Pack 2: Service Packs are the way that Microsoft Releaases the REALLY BIG changes...they come out rarely and usually encompass all the little changes since the original program or previous Service Pack. So those with or without the SP 1 should really download it. You highspeeders should go pretty fast (I'm still in Win Me so I don't need it). edit: Nuts those attatchments don't work by sending from here. Julie and Linda: I'm sending you 2 mailings from Lockergnome. Good instructions for you to decide whether to take the downloads....If yes, then just follow the MSoft link. Anyone else who wants the instructions, give a holler. Another quiet day for me...good book. Bob at work today, but MAYBE off til Friday. Oh, and they are calling for 87° today: from stove to AIR CONDITIONER....hmmm, do they still make the old gas air conditioners?????? Remember them (AND refrigerators)? Taaa.

Hi me again,
Julie and Linda: I read the instructions myself and find this is a Beta release so it will be perfected.... Don't download it, although you might find the writeup interesting for what's to come (usually in a couple months.) I'd have scrapped the earlier message but then you'd be all flummoxed by my mail (and my edit-hour also ran out.) |

LOL Roger, I just spent the last hour reading and reading that thing before I came here and saw that we should not do it.
Thanks for thinking of us anyway. A critical update balloon appears in my task bar when they are ready to be installed so that's all I generally do. Glad you found the Allegra and some relief. I had forgotten that it can help with upper respiratory cold symptoms. Wonder if Clariton would do the same. That is OTC now but a little pricey but you only need to take it once a day.. 75 degrees here right now and going higher until the cold front moves through later.... High wind warnings... More later. I'm running off to look around a bit more for a skirt. |

Hi to all
Have been running and shopping at the Mall and Sam's club today with a few other side trips. Got a nice chairmat for under my computer chair for $15 at Office Depot. I'm all about those bargains. Butter has really gone up in price even at Sams over $2.50 a pound. DH uses only butter. I also stopped in to see Leah who is not feeling all that great (fussy). They will take her to the doc this afternoon. She did manage a smile for her grannie though. Bless her heart. Zip glad you FOUND that allegra and are getting some relief. You sure have warm temps there we are just in the 70s today with rain showers. We sure do need the rain. Linda good luck on finding the right skirt. Will you get a solid color or a print? Be anxious to see your pic in that skirt. We have lots of wind here too. Is that Hosta peeking up yet? This warm weather will help a lot. Susun thanks for the blood work results and to Zip for getting the numbers translated for us. Good results too. The only one that might be a little better is the LDL. Your HDL is great as are your triglycerides. Glad the doc was pleased too. I just stay on my lecithin, psyllium and panthoenic acid, and omega 3 fish oil all the time. Hi to the rest of the vintagers and our lurkers. Loretta |

Hi number 3,
Did we ALL get a complete font change on this site or did I accidently fanoodle something...I've been housecleaning the hard drive. Susan, numbers are pretty good...LDL might need some tender loving care. Linda, Did you load Service Pack 1 when it came out? I just found out that MS has completely stopped supporting WinMe...the Help library exists only for WinXP. Sounds like restraint of trade to me. Loretta, I'm finding thet ALL food is going up in price, along with gas, housing...pretty much EVERYTHING (except my CD income.) It made it to the mid-80's but it's getting overcast. edit: I found my slip of the mouse that changed the font size...all's well. Last edited by zip2play : 04-19-2004 at 03:54 PM. |

Loretta, butter has been going up around here for several months. Usually our local Giant Market has the best prices on the store brand...Beaver Valley for $2.29 lb. It was $1.48 not long ago.
I did see that the egg prices are starting to drop a bit though.Susan, Your blood work doesn't look too bad. Your HDL is nice and high but work on that LDL a bit. Triglycerides are looking great! My LDL took a long time to come down but the others improved tremendously within 6 months after I started low carb. Roger, the only things I usually update are the critical updates I get notified of via the balloon in the task bar.. I just leave the others on the site alone. Duh, don't know if it was service pack 1 or not. I just hit ok and did it. Check out this link again since it has just been updated. Good ol NYS made it to #1 ![]() http://www.retirementliving.com/RLtaxburdens.html Roger NJ isn't too bad and PA is even better. hint, hint. ![]() Ginny, Tennessee is looking better and better to us. Hope you are enjoying your company. Julie, did you cancel some of your social obligations? Wish we would hear from Annie, Ray, Rory, Barb, Dragon and the rest of the gang. |

NO Linda, I didn't cancel anything. After lunch today I even managed to go out to the mall for a few hours. Found some great buy's at Christopher Banks. Do you have those back east? I love there clothes and needed something other than sweatshirts. LOL
Roger, no, I only download critical updates just like Linda. After my last episode, I'm not doing any changes except those. I screw things up too good on my own! Thanks for the info though, I did look it over. I'm just gun shy right now. Sure got warm there in a hurry. Cool, rainy, 55 here today. SuSun, I agree with everybody about the test results. I'm anxious to get mine done at the end of May when I go in for my physical. Good ratio but LDL does look too high. Loretta, The price of dairy does seem to rising. Heard it on the news today too. EVERYTHING seems to be going up or is it my imagination. Damn gas prices. Making us rethink some of our camping trips. Hope Leah is ok tomorrow. These little ones can be on death's door one minute and fine the next. Did I tell you little Madison, my DGD, age 4 1/2 has to get glasses. Her one eye all of a sudden has turned inwards. Doc said the glasses will correct it. I wore glasses at that age too. No biggie, and she got Barbie ones so is so excited. Off to fix some broccoli and clean spinach and romaine. My favorite job!!!!!!!!!!! NOT!!!!!!!!

Hello Gang!
Linda, WOW!!!!! Thank you so much for the Taxes by State link. Alaska looks good! LOL! Florida is not bad then eh? I wanna go back now! It is my Fav spot! Oh well, 5 more years to work till partial pension at 60.Thanks for the comments on my bloodwork. Yes, I love my results after two years of LCing. Loretta, Do let us know how Leah is doing? Bless her, so glad she had a smile for her Granny. I had forgotten about the Lethicin, and is Panthoenic Acid, Niacin? I will restart all these again, they really do make a difference. My LDL's last year were 129.16 and my ratio risk was 3.15 below average risk for CHD. What are the Norms down there. Doc said I was high on Cholesterol and LDLs. Butter up here costs $3.59 to $5.00, so ya got a bargain down there. Did you plant those Cosmos seeds yet? My mail box is attached to the wall at the side of my front door, so cant plant any there unless I plant in a pot. Roger, Thanks again for those conversion decimals. I just couldnt get the hang of it last year, too much stress going on. All of a sudden, I am finally getting things again. Glad the Allegra makes a difference, thanks for passing that on. DH is using Reactine right now lots of different pollens out! What's the title of the book that you are relaxing with today? Urrrrmh! what is your CD income, did I miss something here? Managed an hour and half walk in the woods with DD, saw several deer, showing off their white tails, saw a pair of Mallards and a Woodpecker. Did two loads of laundry, mostly bedding. Did 3 loads yesterday of clothes and there is only DH and I. Strange weather today, been up to 18Celsius, think thats around 70F warm, then wind gusts, clouds roll in, threatening ThunderBumpers all afternoon and the supper hour, Red warning sign on the TV nothing happened here, blue sky with some clouds alternating with grey clouds. Missed my TMs meeting tonight, had too much on the go and Oliver was restless cuz of the threatening weather. I think he could hear the storm in the next county! Enjoy your evening! SuSUN ![]() |

Julie both of my grandkids (same mother) wear glasses. They have for a few years, the youngest is just going to be 3 in May. Some type of drifting eye problem. They do well with them.
Leah is still recovering from a virus she had about a week ago. Doc prescribed some Zantac for her. Nothing serious. Julie why don't you buy the baby spinach already cleaned and ready to go. I used to hate cleaning spinach too. SuSun thanks for telling me about you prices there in Canada. Makes me feel some better. Got the cosmos seeds in. I mixed them with some soil and peat moss and then tossed them and put some mulch over them. We will see. They can get quite tall. They don't need much moisture to survive. We have a rural route mail box and it is away from the house and out by the road. Have to walk out there to get the mail, up a little hill. I don't take niacin at all. That's it for today. Loretta |
