Funny almost-snow fell all day yesterday but didn't amount to anything extra. The three inches isn't melting and they want more tomorrow. That is BAD because New York is site of a big MARCH FOR PEACE on Saturday. Bob's cousin is coming in from Boston and staying on the sofa overnight. It will be nice to see her.
With this lingering bronchitis/walking pneumonia, I'll march but only if the weather is tolerable.

Sounds to me like DH has a gout flairup. Does he have any colchicine around. That's the cure for an acute bout. Take 2 at start of pain and 1 every hour til cured or a total of 12 has been taken....or he's started shiessing every 10 minutes!(No joke)
Anyone who's ever had an attack should have a bottle on hand. (If you take 2 at the first sign of pain, often that will stop the attack...you learn to recognize that certain "morning foot.") If there's none around indocin is a distant second best but make sure you get an Rx for at least 30 or 60 colchicine next doctor's visit (always 60 mg for some reason). He's not taking any thiazides for his BP is he?

In the mood for trout tonight, so I'll check out the ShopRite supply (Rainbows on sale). Lately they've been HUGE (1 1/2 pounds) and that's too much for one and not enough for two. Also with the big ones, if you atttempt to cut it into two you get those broken needle-like bones all over the place. I hope they have one pounders or less.

Poker tomorrow and cousin Saturday so it's me and the vacuum cleaner and dustrag today! How thrilling. I'll squeeze in gym (I hope coughing is classed as an aerobic excercise.)

Morning everyone,

Just cruising through for now. DR is having oral surgery today, so DH took him up there. Waiting to see how poor DR feels when he gets home. Poor guy.

In the meantime I've had the house to myself.

Time to water some plants!

Hi to all

Zip I just don't think that it is the gout. No reddness. My thought is that he stopped taking the neurontin for his shingles because of some side effects. We just stopped taking them and the next day the pain appeared. It is getting better slowly. Thanks for the thoughts onit. Enjoy the visit with Bob's cousin. Hope the weather warms up soon for you. 70s in the forecast here for the weekend.

We are off to the eye doc today for DH who is forever hopeful that his vision will be improved with some new perscription. She is a great doc but just cannot help improve that vision. Maybe she can just be reassuring for him.

Roger, you still have the cough?? Get thy butt to a doctor and have it checked out. You may need a good strong antibiotic. Don't wait like I did.

How long will Bob's cousin stay? Hopefully you gan get to the march and participate.

Loretta, Neuronin is one of those drugs you just quit. You have to wean yourself off them. Wonder what the side effects are but I'm surprised the doc didn't tell you that. hmmm maybe the leg pain???

Hi Linda, so many running through.

Spent 5 1/2 hours going to that darn allergist and they couldn't get any tests to react. Waste of my time. Got home just in time to find the power went off. Came back on in just under 2 hours so that wasn't bad. Didn't have my puter though and was having withdrawals. LOL Got to get dinner now so will check back later.

We had 3/4 in of rain today and wind like you wouldn't believe!! So I hear ya Shawnee!! Burk is so cute!!!!!!!!

I'm on SPRING BREAK and looking forward to some free time. Weather looks like it will be pretty decent also.

It's taking a little time to catch up with everyone's medical problems but do read about your concerns. If we just didn't have to worry about feeling badly we could enjoy life a lot more!!

The pup is cute...... name is Burk? We are still "thinking" about what our next dog will be -- probably small for traveling and in-house.

I come they didn't find any reaction Julie? What does this mean? Of course they didn't try nuts or cheese!! LOL

I'm heading for a good book to read because I can't stand to watch NCAA basketball. I'm in a pool at work, I'm sure they will tell me if I WIN!! I usually choose by whether the coach is cute or not!! I won't even mention the other body parts involved in this decision.

Barb, you must root for Gonzaga, DH alma marta!!!!!!!!!! Of course I grew up in Spokane. DH also went to Gonzaga Prep H.S., all boys, while I went to the all girls catholic H.S.

Nuts and cheese have been "off" my menu for 3 days now so watch out, here I come. 115 is my new goal and I'm going to make it. Down 1 1/2 lb today. 2 1/2 to go.
