Thursday the 11th

Morning gang!

Not much new here. Woke up at 8:15 this morning...WTH!!! I reckon I'll just be tired today.

Dragonette, AWWWWW that is just too cute! How big will they get? I reckon 2 will keep you busy, been there done that! When Nitro and Shey first came to us, we used kitty litter to train them. Worked really well and kept the cleanup a whole lot easier. They picked up on 'potty in the box' really quick. Of course, puppies will also think the kitty litter is meant to be scattered ALL OVER THE AREA, so there is a bit of sweeping involved, but well worth the ease of pooper-scooping!

Sensei, thanks for the synopsis! You have a lot to be proud of so don't sell yourself short. I would have loved to learn some form of martial arts, just for the knowledge (and flexibility!), and I know it's a really good thing especially for women. Just never had the time to take classes, and really, there's nothing any count around here anyways! You will also find we treasure our Vets here too.

Shawnee, how's the new 'puter acting? No more problems I hope? You should be flying along now with an updated processer etc...are all your peripherals working right? I believe it's time for a Burke pupdate. I know I've been slacking on pupdates here.

Linda, mold gets me too. Put me in a 5 mile radius of an old musty book and it's Claritin time for me. So glad it's OTC now! Mowing the grass gets me too, and if I have my brain working I'll take meds BEFORE I go and mow, then no prob. At least I'm not allergic to dust--wait a minute, then I could get a housekeeper. Dang!

Loretta, cool on the towels! Have you ever crocheted the ones that will hang off a ring or knob? I like them really well, and all mine have died from overuse. Maybe I'll have to figure out how they're made, I think I could handle a project like that!

Zip, what's going on in your neck of the woods?

Julie, glad to see you back. I hear you on spending less time on the 'puter, I really should too, but it's my morning routine of waking up. I really miss it if I don't have time.

Susan, I can hear you counting down the days till FL! I know Oliver will be so happy to be in the heat down there too! Hope all goes smoothly with your last few working days.

Jacki, check in when you can, know you're busy and we miss you.

Barb, are you getting back in the swing of things yet?

Well, all, off to lurk for a bit. Waving to all,

Yes, it's still morning.....

I'm better today, not as tired but have been going to bed early and getting up early also for work. We just have so much going on now with a couple of law cases that we need all the resources we can get. (Special Education Due Process Hearings)

Ray, you have accomplished a lot and be proud!! I think the world of karate and the structure it gives so many. I've referred some of our teenage youths who have gotten into trouble with the law to class.

With the buds budding ( I never did think that Spring happened suddenly) there are a lot of allergy sufferers. I use Clarinex myself and try to get a grip on it early.

I hear everyone about computer time -- my DH thinks I live on it.

Waving to all...... till later!

Hi to all

For you asthma sufferers I read an article that says that HRT users have more asthma attacks than those that don't use HRT. Something you might want to checkout.

On the allergies I guess my nose seems to drip a lot all year long, no special season. I don't have a problem with my eyes though. I just use a lot of kleenix. Gee Barb where are those hearings taking place, at the school? Just curious about them. My Dh thinks I crawl up inside my computer and get lost in here. He wants to know who I am talking to. He is a non computer user. I call him over to view pics occasionally but his vision is not that great.

Mommy that pup is so precious. What a sweetie, hardly has its eyes open yet.

Susan will you be up to living with DD for 6 weeks? Baby Leah seems to cry frequently and I'm not sure if I would want to live there, well maybe for a short while. Leah is awake a lot during the day but sleeps most of the night time hours. 12 to 6 or so usually. LOL on the steak feedings. She is gaining wt nicely.

Linda the stick does show some authority even though I have not had to use it except to raise it up. I tried some other methods without success. He jumps high as high as my face with his paws pushing on me. I will keep the stick with me for now.
The towel project is getting out of hand. I think I will make them for Christmas presents.

Gotta leave for now but will be back shortly.

Had to re enter, my time lapsed out.

Ginny I sure don't know how to crochet. I have seen those towels looking for projects on towels on the web. My DIL was going to throw the old one away but I will use it to take it apart and see about what is inside. If you know how to chochet you probably won't have a problem with them.

Shawnee glad you are doing ok with the exchanged pc so far. I know you have a headache on your hands fixing it like you want it. DH is very understanding when I have a problem with this thing. I get consumed with getting it back to rights.

Julie glad to hear that they were able to put a new knee in for your DB. I suppose he will be on antibiotics again for a while. Will have to do some rehab with the knee. Found some Atkins fat free and low carb milk today. I want it for my coffee. It was expensive too. I am seeing more lc products at our local WM. I wonder about trusting the labels though.

L8ter g8ters and hi to the rest of the band, Ray, Pam, Jackie. Sorry if I missed anyone.

Loretta

Hi Y'all

Another gorgeous day here, working in the yard.

Mommy, I had a rescued Visula once; he was a sweetie...kinda like a Lab, but more high -strung and slimmer.

I don't have anything hooked up yet re puter; have to download Compatability Wizard plus a Windows Patch so it will go smoothly (hopefully)

Hi to all
more later

Shawnee,
Did they ever guess what was broken on the old new computer?

Ray,
That dragon is quite an eyecatcher....are you tempted to expand your site?

Dragonette,
The vizsla's ADORABLE....does he like Goulash?

Theater tonight (in Greenwich Village)...a show called BUG?? but dinner IN first.
I found a George Foreman knockoff at K-Marts. It's the size of the Foreman FAMILY SIZE (like $99) but it was marked only $22.88. I snapped it up and it checked out at $17.88...ok by me. It's a 1500 watt job (big power). My first trial will be thick salmon filets...I'll let you know tomorrow. They are marinating (in Mojo Criolla) now.

Better get the rice on....

A good night everyone!

Busy day here for me. GYN appointment. UGH but my darn BP was way down there as was my weight. Gosh I got the works...ultra sound and bone density as well as the usual crap they do to you other females. So far so good.

I really think their scales are off by 5 lbs since I couldn't have lost that much since I weighed at my other doctors last week. I ran home and jumped on my scale which is exactly the same as my primary care doc and I was at my usual weight.

Roger, wow what a bargain you got on that grill. We have one but I don't care for it because things seem dry or something. Boy is it fast though. We take it on vacation so it does get used.

Mommy, that little guy is so cute!!! My gosh you have your hands full.

Shawnee, hope you get your new machine up and running smoothly. I'm surprised it didn't come fully loaded. Our Dell came with everything and then some installed. I still haven't used a 10th of what's in this thing.

Loretta, I had more asthma attacks before I went on the estrogen patch so I don't know how true that is. It's much more under control now that it was before.

Hope that stick serves as a good warning to Spot. Keep us posted. He is friendly isn't he?

Barb, guess you are back in your groove, eh? Hopefully you aren't getting too tired out. Surgery knocks the hell out of us older gals.

Ginny, you could say you are allergic to dust mites and get that housekeeper. Wish I had thought of that when I first got diagnosed. LOL

My morning routine is to wake up lurking on the computer and drinking coffee. I can't think for at least two hrs so I don't post much unless it's a one liner.

BTW are you very far from Sevierville? We just made hotel reservations for June. We are going to the Low Carb Friends annual Pig roast near there. Check out the gatherings bb if you are interested.

Julie, it's good to see you back here on this thread. I don't get to spend as much time on here as I would like but it's not by choice.
Don't you go and forget us now.

Jackie, how are you doing hun? Check in when you can.

Pam are you still out there?

Susan, for the life of me I couldn't live with a baby for 6 weeks. Crying drives me nuts now. I will babysit but it's so nice to go home after a few hrs.

Ray, check in when you can.

Quick check in as I'm exhausted from walking all over Downtown Seattle today. You won't believe who I ran into walking down the street!! My DS2!!! This is a town of over 500,000 people. I almost fainted dead away. Of course he works in downtown but he said he couldn't meet us as he had a meeting and an errand to run on his lunch hour. Shorts for his weekend San Francisco trip!! Grrrr 79 there yesterday. Anyhow, had a great time, got Seattle Mariner baseball tickets, had lunch and shopped and then had to walk down to the ferry dock.

Loretta, don't take HRT and still get asthma. Although I've had it since childhood so whats my excuse? LOL Keeping Leah in my prayers for a successful surgery. You are one crafty lady!!!
What do you mean your time ran out???

Ginny, now what time do you usually get up? 8:15 seems resonable to me. LOL

Barb, glad you are getting your strength back. Sounds like a busy week to boot.

Linda, dumb ole scales anyway!! None of them seem to weigh right!!

Zip, enjoy dinner and theater out. BUG????
Great buy on the grill. Now why can't I find deals like that.

Hi Shawnee!!

Got to get a birthday present for my DS1 who will be 38 tomorrow. Not a clue what to get him. Dang, I hate not knowing.
Got to run and watch CSI.
