Here is Baby Leah and her oldest uncle and my oldest son.
She has some ovarian problem not sure what it is for sure, a twisted ovary? a growth? not a cyst as we first thought. She is scheduled for it March 22 at 7:30 am. They will have to go to Nashville to a neo natal surgeon there. Thank you all for your concern. This is such a wonderful cyber space with very caring and supportive people. Linda sure glad to hear that you did not get that snow. Yes I sure enjoy the signs of Spring. I would hate to have such a long winter as yours. Your mom's new place sounds like something I would like. I wish we had a Target. We will be getting a Best Buy by the end of the year. We have CVS here but in the city. I usually try to comp items at our local WM. They are good about it. Susan glad to hear that your surgery spot is healing nicely. We will be anxiously awaiting your biopsy report also. SOrry about your back problem. You and Roger both. How about wearing a corset when you have some heavy lifting to do. Shawnee that was a bonus 64 degrees. Our riding mower is getting its flat tires fixed. They are going to put some tubes in them. Hope it gets back soon. Hope you are enjoying your new pc and learning some new things. l8ter g8ters Loretta |

Hi Y'all
Another (even better) gorgeous day here I thought I was in better shape, but that mowing yesterday sure took its toll on my "hind legs" Today I will just do some strolling and admiring while outside in the yard.Glad to hear the sneaux skipped ya, Montana...and hoping those rivers behave themselves! Bargain Therapy, Yahoo....good for the Spirit and wallet. Loretta, I see ya "picked" a crocus from your picture, and used it as your Avatar...cool!. so Spring-y.. ![]() Great pic of lil Leah and your DS. Pretty dollbaby and handsome guy. Heartbreaking that she has to face such a surgery, bless her heart. Thankful that we have such advanced Med.Technology to repair the problem, but can't help wondering if maybe modern drugs contributed to this problem. We will be saying prayers for a successful outcome. My XP so far has caused me more frustration that enjoyment...was on the phone for over an hour with Tech to fix my Explorer "cannot find server", then spent some time fixing my Outlook...got that done, and immediately was slammed with a worm virus that Norton found but couldn't fix...so I had to download a Tool and kill off the worm.... LOL, if it keeps this up, I'll be coming to your Lake to toss it in! Hi to Everyone not here yet. Hope y'all are having a good day. Got sunshine, I'm gonna go get my share of it ![]() Shawnee |

What an absolutely beautiful day. Sunny and my thermometer says 77 degrees!!! It has to be a dirty trick.
I'm so behind on responding to all y'all. Leah is so precious. Hugs to her and I'm sure all will go well with the surgeon. Modern medicine is amazing and those little young bodies sure do heal quickly. My prayers to her recovery. That's a very handsome young man holding her. Shawnee...come mow my yard...I'll let ya! It sure needs it. Yesterday was my dads memorial service and wake. It went very well. Thank you for all your heartfelt support for us. It is greatly appreciated. A very nice thing happened yesterday. One of the men involved with the Columbia Theatre for the Arts (our local culture and where my dad did volunteer work) came up to the wake and gave us some tickets to a concert that was held that afternoon. It was a Cajun music band and my dad had wanted to see it. Micheal (this gentleman) said he was sure my dad would 'be' there. So, my mom and my 2 grkids went to the concert for a while. After the concert this same gentleman said "I don't know if you noticed or not but your dad's cowboy hat (he'd asked if he could have one) is in our lobby." When I went back to look there it was.....right in the lobby as you walk in. He then said "It will have a permanent home there." I was so touched that I gave him a hug and almost broke down crying. It mean't so much to us. Brandi (DD) and I finished up at Dad's apartment today. Nothing left but a couple things my sister will pick up later today. Other than checking his mailbox for the next couple days (I still have to get the post office to halt his mail. ) and getting Housing to do the inspection on it for whatever refund and pet deposit is coming all is finished. We are feeling sad about that too. Seems like we were still hands on loving him as long as we were cleaning and putting things in order. Tomorrow is my last day off work. Back to the 'salt mines' for me wednesday. I think tomorrow I'll just do nothing....Brandi will come kill some time with me in the morning. I hope everyone is doing well, and I'll try to catch up on everyone in the next few days. Hugs to you all. |

Oh Jackie, what a wonderful tribute to your dad.
It's got to be difficult cleaning out the apartment so perhaps getting back to work is going to do you a world of good. I went back 5 days after my dad died. It did help. Shawnee, get a self propelled mower to save those hind legs girl.OUCH!! Oh no, don't toss the new computer into Lake Kentucky. Change is a ****** sometimes but once you get used to XP you will like it. Did you get to enjoy your yard today without killing yourself? Got a new optical mouse and am trying to get used to that too. Loretta, What a bright eyed, beautiful little thing Leah is. You must be one proud grandma. Your son is a very handsome guy too. Thanks for sharing the picture. We have a Best Buy distribution center about 25 miles from here but no store YET. Darn CVS and Eckerd Drugs are on almost every corner around here but are a bit expensive although they do have good sales on occasion. Target is OK but you aren't missing much. They have a great home goods section but their clothing leaves a lot to be desired. Roger, how is that back today? Hopefully it's not got you flat on your back. Julie, Ginny, Susan, Barb, where are you gals? |

Hi Again
wow, today was just the best weather in THIRTY years here! ![]() Cleaned out the little fishpond, and got the pump humming...water tinkling again, love that sound. Jacki, your moving tribute to your dad gave me wonderful goosebumps. You will continue "doing" for him by being the same daughter he was so proud of.........Take some time to just "be" now. LOL, Montana...I do have a self-propelled mower/mulcher (and a Rider, and an OLD mower)..the self-one is not good on soggy lawns, it tends to dig in and leave muddy tire marks ..so I use my ol' faithful one that's been my buddy for over 20 years....when it won't start, I talk to it lovingly...works every time. So did ya find some bargains? Optical mouse, huh? Like it? I agree, I like Target's Housewares...but the rest of it is pretty much like Walmart. Where's everyone else hanging out??? Hi to ya, wherever ya are. ![]() ZIP, hope you are improving, and can get to your keyboard soon. Shawnee |

So happy to see your post Jacki. That memorial service for your dad must have been a wonderful tribute to his life. Nice to have his "hat" hanging there in the Columbia Theatre for the Arts. He would be proud of that.
Shawnee seems like a lot of HA there with that xp. Seems like the hackers are all after it. Hope my old windows 98 holds out for a while longer, but I know change is inevitable. Any fish in that pond?? Hey I got my spinach and radishes planted and got the lawn fertilized with weed and feed. Just a ball of fire today. Ready for ged now. Linda let me know how you like that new mouse. My mouse is on its last legs about now. IF my DS are here using it they really complain about it. Is it wireless too? hitting the hay. L retta |

Shawnee, LOL you talk to it? I can just imagine
Sometimes older is better but don't hurt yourself using it. Let some neighbor kid do it for you.Nice weather, eh? Enjoy every minute of it. Just looked at weather bug on this computer and it's 28 at the airport across the valley from here. Sheesh! Getting used to this mouse but I think it will be just fine. At least we don't need a mouse pad. Oh Yeah, bargains galore. Bounty paper towels, pork steaks, Scott's TP, Tide and a few other things. Loretta, If we are careful about not opening any attachments, we are just fine regardless of XP or 98. Those worms can invade any of us. Hackers too. From what I've read, the latest worm infects e mail addys and sends crap. I caught two today. I think Carol aka Oww Woo has one because I received an e mail from her with an attachment that I deleted. E mailed her and she said she hadn't sent me anything. Hopefully she will read Janie's post and do something about it. So heads up everyone. I will NOT open any forwards or attachments yet again. I like this mouse so far but it did take some getting used to. No it's not wireless. Toyed with the idea but didn't want to replace batteries. Maybe next time. |

My Norton Anti Virus has been catching 2 or 3 email viruses daily the last week or so. I don't know why there's such a rash all the sudden. Make sure you keep your anti virus updated!!
So annoying. ![]() |
