Hi Ginny, where is everyone today?
My mom is coming for dinner this evening if it doesn't start snowing. Guess we are in for 1 to 6 " of the darn stuff tonight. We are going to fire up the BBQ and grill some lemon pepper chicken and have it with mock potato salad and green beans. I made Loretta's Low carb almond cheese cake and topped it with some cherries sweetened with splenda. Shawnee, LOL I want to use those beautiful pictures as my desk top, OK? So did you buy any? Waving to all. Later |

Hi Ginny,
Those baskets are very attractive and showed off the Cattleya with flair! Shawnee, Lovely picture from the Orchid Show. New York should be doing the annual next month. I'd better check WERE since I guess the WTC isn't QUITE ready yet. Linda, The show, AUNT DAN AND LEMON was, correctly called a Lemon....actually Atomic BOMB would be more to the point. That is THE LAST TIME that I'll usher because I had to stay til the friggen bitter end. A waste of two big talents (Lili Taylor and Kristen Johnson). It seems common these days to see very well acted shows that are TERRIBLY written. Well, I guess it's been overdue: back went CRUNCH this morning reaching for the half and half. I quickly took 2 SOMA (and on an empty stomach it was quite a "Mickey"). I hope it's quicker than the customary 3 day ouch ...left calf a bit numb after abut 2 hours.Sooo, today will be heating pad, back massager, and TV. I really should do the massager EVERY MORNING on arising, and I think it's finally sinking in...I skipped today and paid the price!!!!! ![]()

Hi to all
I could not resist with all of the pretty pictures of flowers happening. I found these on my walk this morning. A few Crocus blooming in a lawn Shawnee those were some lovely pics and Ginny yours too. I sure love seeing all the eye candy. Isn't this great. Shawnee did you buy any orkids? How is that one you have? Boy Ginny do we ever have the wind here today. The ground might dry up but it is suppose to rain somemore tomorrow. I have some seeds I want to plant, radish and spinach. Linda I sure do wish I could get to your place in time for that meal. I know we are early but we are having some corned beef and cabbage. Zip were you on your feet the whole time of the show to do your ushering? That would have been a penance for sure. Sorry to hear about your back. Guess you have the routine down pat for the cure. Went to see baby Leah for a while. Those kids (DS and DIL) have some marriage adjusting to do but they will do fine. Baby Leah is doing fine outside of her needed surgery. It is scheduled for March 22. DS will have days off then and be able to be present. The surgery might take 2 hours DIL says. Hi Guys!
A flying visit, just back from a Show myself. I was working and was a guest speaker. Whew, glad that is over, lugging boxes around with me. I too get the old twinges in the back. I just took a mobicoxx as a preventative, can feel the beginnings of sciatica already. No fun gettin old eh? Have a group in the morning, so packed the car with a different box and away we go! You'd think my back would be stronger for all the lugging I do.The other minor little surgery thing has healed up nicely. I still have some bruising but did not need any pain meds yesterday and today. Just need to get the pathology report back to find out what was going on. Should be about Wednesday I am guessing. Have another presentation on Thursday at a Hotel to a group of Physicians, Pharmacists and Dentists. Only another week, after this one and then I can pack my bags and off to the Sunshine State FLA! Loretta, LOVED YOUR pics, what a sight for sore eyes, after this white winter up here. I will have to check yesterdays thread to see Shawnee and Ginny's pics. Linda, Enjoy your Supper, sounds delicious! You are getting the BBQ out. Ours in buried in the shed with all the garden furniture and stuff. DH will dig it out probably upon our return from FLA! Roger, Hope the Meds are working for you. I hear ya on the back thing, doesnt take much. Just knowing to medicate and rest it, helps. Bummer about the Show last night. Ginny, Gotta go check back to yesterdays thread to see you handiwork. Oliver has finally settled down. He went crazy and wanted to play when I came home. He is not used to his Mommy working on Sunday's. I think he was in shock when I left this morning. Wavin to Y'all! SuSUN ![]() |

Gee Roger, you didn't have a good weekend at all with the play that sucked and now your back acting up. So when are you going to see a good neuro surgeon about that back, humm?
Loretta, I'm sitting here sobbing because I'm so jealous of your warmer climate and blooming flowers. We are supposed to get up to 6"of snow depending on which weather report we listen to. It's going to be a bit tough for your DS and DDL to adjust to being around each other AND the new baby but they should manage just fine. Poor little baby, hopefully the surgery will go well for her. BTW I posted the yogurt recipe on the sticky over on the Golden. Try it. It's so easy and so much better than store bought. Susan, we use the BBQ grill all year. It's in our attached garage so we just open the door and have at it. Glad your surgery site is healing well but do take care of that back. None of us are getting any younger. Have some young guy lug it for you.Dinner was good and mom is excited about moving. She should hear something this week about the move in date. Boy that place is sounding better and better to me. LOL Maybe we should put in an application. They wash your windows inside and out if you want, hang pictures or what have you on the walls, change light bulbs, clean your car off after a snow fall of 5" or more and they have closed circuit TV to see who is entering the bldg or ringing your buzzer. Now were is the rest of our gang? Last edited by LoveMontana : 03-07-2004 at 06:08 PM. |

Hi Y'all
Heeheeee, our Weatherguy's calculations were off, and we had a BONUS of afternoon sun, 64° ;p We joined in with the roaring neighborhood, lawnmowers happily purring away. Felt great to be outside, and get the lawns tidied a bit. Loretta, love the SPRING RITES pics ya posted. Gee, Leah's upcoming surgery sounds like a long one; could ya tell us what's to be done? Ginny, what a pretty hanger and Bloomer. No, I didn't bring home any new bloomers....trying to learn how to admire without coveting...LOL....I am more of an Outside Plant person, my GreenThumb being better suited to less delicate flora. ![]() Awww, poor ZIP...glad you weren't playing Poker this weekend, with the Crap Luck you've been having. Hope your time-honored remedies work fast for ya. Montana, I'd like a reserved apt. in your Mom's complex; sounds good to me...especially the WINDOWS part. Today's sun sure made me notice how dirty mine are. Hope your WeatherGuy is wrong about that sneaux. SuSun, you sure are busy. Bet Oliver will be as happy bout FL. as you are. Best wishes for a good Report Wed. Take care of your back . Glad y'all liked the OrKid pics...I have a few more, need to get them onto PhotoIsland to share. Dazzlingly gorgeous bloomers at that Show. Hi to all the MIAs. Shawnee |
