Sunny Saturday the 6th of March
Good morning maintainers -- rise and shine!!
I was reading Randy's post over on the MB about his 2 year anniversary and the weight he lost and gained. I like the advice he gave about getting to goal and working within the five pound range. I'm sure that's what all of you do. I plan on getting five pounds below my sig. and working on that range. Right now I'm going up and down like a rollar coaster. Not much planned here except will bake some flaxmeal bread and muffins for the week. I go back to work on Monday and I'm sure I'll be tired and busy * having to DO something for a change*. What does everyone else have planned? ![]()

Hey everyone,
Looks like a pretty nice day for us to go to the Lawn and Garden show. Have to go to Crashville for it, and there's road destruction going on so plotting alternate routes will be a 'joy'. Hope all are well and content! |

Hi to all
Barb I think that is a very good plan, that is the 5 pound range. I guess it was unrealistic of me to aim lower, so I went to the upper limit. I need something realistic without starving myself. This I can handle. I seem to be pretty consistent lately at 122. Good plan to get those items baked up before you go to work Barb. Ginny are you going to Clarksville?????? That is not too far from me. Enjoy that show, maybe you will find some new orkids for your GH. Shawnee sounds like you have your new pc and components under control there. That outlook sure is a HA. I have had problems and I know Julie has had also. I use an xp version of outlook since I had to install it for my new IPaq PDA. WTG on the HP. I will stick with compaq when I have to get a new pc. (I guess they are made by the same co now) No special plans today. Need to get outside but it is too wet. Need to clean house but want to read. Guess I'll just enjoy the day however it lands. Hi everyone,
Shawnee, how nice that you have a wonderful new HP. Hopefully you will like WindowsXP. It's fine for me since I haven't had anything else to compare it too. Roger, how did the ushering go last evening? Was the play worth the work? Barb, the 5 lb range is reasonable. Fortunately I don't have a problem with it and sometimes I drop too low. My carbs average about 50 a day but some days, I'm in the 15 to 20 carb range. Ginny, enjoy the Lawn and Garden show, lucky girl. LOL road destruction starts here sometime this month but we sure need it with all the huge pot holes that appeared when it got a bit warmer. Loretta, it seems we both need a kick in the butt to get going and do something constructive. I want to just kick back and zone out but housework calls. Mom is coming for dinner if we don't get the snow that was forecast for tomorrow so I'm making some mock potato salad and your Almond Cheese cake to go with some lemon pepper chicken. Wishing little Leah the best. Poor little thing. Hopefully she will sail right through that surgery. Annie, we won't forget about you. Wishing your dd the best. I would be so very upset too. Careless medical care is the norm anymore. I read that Doctors and nurses are responsible for an astronomical number of injuries and even death. Waving to everyone else. Later |

Good Saturday Maintainers!
Yes, that 5lb range is a good number! "Nip it in the bud" before it becomes too big to handle. The weather is so mild, lots of thawing going on, can see the deck and some of the grass in the yard. Oliver is staying out longer so I know it is warmer. Loretta, When is Leah's surgery? Thoughts and Prayers are with her! bless her.Linda, Wow, you are wonderful with the Carbs! I used to eat in that range but have been increasing steadily without too much damage. I know I should pull back to be ready for summer. Ginny, Wow, that sounds like a marvellous way to spend some down time from work! Watch out for those detours! Cali, Thinking of YOU and your DD going thru this rough time! Barb, What a great way to start today's thread reminding us of the 5lb range. It does work well. I always seem to be at the top end. I can almost smell those muffins. Sounds like you are getting organized for a week of tough work! I have two presentations this week and two groups to facilitate, then I am off on Friday. Wavin to the rest of our Magnificient Gang! |

Me again!
The Lawn and Garden show was really good this year. I brought home 2 new 'chids, but also picked up 4 wooden hanging baskets of a special kind that we really like. ![]() This is the one we got last year and put a cattleya in it. Hope it shows up. The ones we got this year are a bit different, 2 are wall hanging type and 2 are a crescent type. When we figure out who gets to live in them, I'll post pics. Anyways, that's one of the reasons we went was to see the people that made these. There were a couple others we wanted to see (and got to) as well. It was really pleasant, and a nice day out for the both of us. Afterwards we went to Lowes and got the faucets for the sink and shower, a door for the bathroom and a few other necessary items. Loretta, the show was in Nashville, which is Crashville pretty much any time of the year ![]() Well, all, off to chat with DSisIL
