TUESDAY, RUBIES?
Good morning everybody,
Linda, Here's the razor clam cleaning page I liked the best. it really IS almost identical to squid (calamari) preparation. I'd then slice those steaks into strips for frying (after flouring of course. http://westportwa.com/activities/raz.../cleaning.html I think we're spit out of luck with any chance of big razor clams from the Atlantic. They look yummy to me, more fleshy than our "goo balls." Just a quicky today, gym, Shop-Rite (never made it yesterday), dinner out, fast Japanese called YOHINOYE (sorta the McDonald's of Japan) and a show called FIGHTING WORDS at Playwright's Horizon...both on 42nd Street...a full day! Weather is mild in the 40's with plenty of dampness...maybe signs of things to come? CYallL8er! edit: Oh Yeah, I forgot: today's our 30th Anniversary! Gee time flies.

Morning Roger and everyone,
Just a quick hi before I run off to work. It's snowing like hell right now and the roads are just awful!! Boy it's not going to be fun getting off this hill. Thanks for the link to the clam cleaning Roger, but you are right. I don't think we will find any Razor clams on the east coast unless we order them over the internet. Have fun today everyone. Later... |

Good afternoon all...... since you are counting noses, I'll stick mine in a little bit further!!
CONGRATULATIONS TO ZIP AND BOB ON 30 YEARS OF BEING TOGETHER!! Linda, hope you took it easy on those roads -- isn't it ever going to stop for you? We are having some nice Spring weather, especially seeing some of the new calves that are being born as we write!! Believe me, that is the ONLY time they are cute! Of course, I'm helping the economy by eating that beef! Hope you had a good lunch with great company today Julie. You guys NEVER tell us WHAT you eat!! Well, I took my last pain med and now can "legally drive" somewhere! I am getting enough rest -- just no exercise yet. I wouldn't want to strain anything! I'll be back later......

I sure had an interesting day. Got locked out of the bb. I went and changed my email addy and then it was lock out. I did not know about that happening. I was wondering if I had posted something obscene?? Finally go that straightened out. I sure would have missed a big part of my life without being able to post.
Dh and I had a nice visit from DIL and baby Leah. We visited for quite a while. DIL is getting anxious to go back to work but will wait for final word about Leah's surgery or not. Dr's visit on March 2nd for her. DS will be here on Friday. His brothers will all be helping with the move at this end. Storage for most of the stuff for now. I'll bring some food for the group. Congrats Zip and Bob on that 30 years. Quite a record for today's times. Linda hope you had a safe trip to and from work today. Do you use snow tires or chains?? So happy not have to drive to work on that stuff. A big perk of retirement. Barb you are making progress getting behind the wheel again. Do you seem to be healing up nicely? Stitch removal already? It is not quite a week yet. be back l8ter folks. HI to all in the band. Last edited by Loretta V : 02-24-2004 at 03:58 PM. |

Ginny, did you ever wake up? Hope your day went well
Loretta, that baby is beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing her picture. Getting locked out of this place is a pain in the butt. Glad you got back in. Did you know you can "hide" your e mail addy here in your controls? I did that for a while when I was getting some nasty e mails from a nut who posted on another bb I'm an assist. mgr on. She is a kook and filthy mouthed brat so we banned her but she found me here. LOL Barb, OMG you are actually watching calfs being born? How cool is that? Gosh now I'm thinking about a visit to Colorado to check it out. Glad you are finally off the pain meds and feeling better. We will finally get some spring like weather this weekend. Thank GOD! But March is a month for some heavy, wet snow in these parts. Shawnee, thanks for the link. It was very interesting. KD is quit something and very helpful. Now were the heck are the rest of our gang? I miss them when the don't post. |

WOW, Loretta...that is one cute and happy DollBaby!
![]() It will be good when the date comes to determine possible Sx, get it settled one way or another. Blessings to that baby! If you have GrandBrats, its an extra bonus when they are adorable too. ![]() (Did you REALLY think you'd been locked out for being a Potty-mouth?!) The Moving Crew will sure appreciate the Grub! (Bob said to leave the Flax-cinnamon Muffin recipe as is, and hopes I remember what all I put in it..LOL ) Barb, those newborn calves are waaay cool, huh? Done any birthing assistance with 'em? DSon (when 16) spent his summer working on a ranch, and found out how hard it can be...sometimes resorting to pulling with a tractor or saddlehorse. Glad to hear that you can hit the road again ![]() Montana, yeah..that KD is always on top of things. March here can be a b*tch...heavy rains and high winds...always glad to get it over and done with. Had some of the $3.98 lb Rock Cod for dinner....major yum! Have a good night, everyone Shawnee |

Shawnee, thanks for the link. I think it will be very helpful. Although I think my night eating syndrome is mainly from habit!!! Need a course in breaking habits.
Loretta, such a cute pic. I just reach in the pic and give him a big hug. Nothing like snuggling a baby. Barb, way to go getting off the drugs. Will ya miss them? hehehe When I go out for lunch, I inveritably get salad w protein. Mary and I will be going to Ivar's in Seattle, a very famous seafood place. So it may be fish, esp. since it's Ash Wed and we fast from meat on that day. Hey Linda, I'll try the toothbrush on my plantar warts. Good idea. I'll try anything before surgery!! About the clams....I don't really care for any of them except the very small ones. AND we live in clam country here. Hate oysters too. Except the ones that come smoked in a can. Not sure where everybody else is but hi who made it here and hi to who didn't.
