Pregnant Ladies, move over and let me in...Also, please share some daily menus....

I just found out yesterday that I am pregnant. I had a miscarriage in early Nov and we weren't supposed to try until next month. But oh well, we must have practiced too much...LOL...We're just hoping all goes well this time.

My biggest question is what do you eat? I am having a really hard time eating carbs again even though I have been on maintenace for a couple of weeks. Please post menus! Thanks!

Hi, I don't know if you have found the pg thread or not, but I will try to help you, if not.

First congrats on your big news and I am sorry to hear of your prior loss.

In my own experience, I have found that eating tiny, frequent meals throughout the day really helps. I try to eat about 75-100 carbs a day and 2000 calories.

Breakfast is: 3 scrambled eggs with 2 pieces of turkey bacon. 1 piece of whole grain wheat bread and decaf coffee. or plain oatmeal (the kind you cook) with splenda and butter (yum!) and a pear or apple.

Mid morning snack is cheese sticks and peanuts.

Lunch is toasted ham & cheese on LC bread and carrot sticks, or a homemade salad with everything I can find (lol) and full fat ranch. Maybe turkey or chicken salad on LC bread.

Afternoon snack is usually cottage cheese and peaches, plain, non fat yogurt and green grapes or an apple with peanut butter.

Dinner is baked or grilled fish, pork chops, bacon or beef with another salad or some brown rice. Maybe steamed cauliflower and brocolli with butter.

Snack is usually LC ice cream or strawberries, maybe plain unbuttered popcorn.

I never had morning sickness with this baby, so everything stayed down, including the occasional whopper!

Good luck!

Email me anytime!
