Saturday...WEE, WEE, hours

Two clubs...(opening Bridge bid)

Well, tried 10 mg SONATA, a new sleeping pill that we got a sample trial with. Took it at midnight...yawned up a storm and slept like a baby TIL 3 AM exactly....Up and at 'em.
One of my new drugs HAS to go and I really am not sure if it's the atenolol, norvasc or the Plavix....can't stop the Plavix and risk clot formation on stent but the other two are highly jiggelable. Amazingly ANY can cause precisely this symptom.

Sheesh....3°F right now...wind chill to -10, dropping before dayybreak to -15. Even BOB has decided to postpone his weekly day OFF (jaws are dropping all over the entertainment industry.) That 3° is the lowest I've ever seen in the 30 years I've been in the NYC area.

Linda,
All kind thoughts to your daughter....it's going to be an unpleasant weekend unlesss they ween her down instead of cold turkey.

Loretta,
Nope on the Puritan catalogue...I guess it's just impossible for a huge mailing like that to go out at once. They've got to stagger.
Do you have any insomnia from your atenolol?

Susan,
I see the weathermap temps for Ontario....GOOD GOD: Just thank goddess you're nowhere near Hudson Bay (soon to be Hudson Glacier?)

Washingtonites, how are you firing in the ice storm or is it mostly OR?

Coffee smells divine <toddles to kitchen and back>.

(We got apartment all spiffy for a change....a rarity but the clutter was getting horrible- the doctoring for the last month didn't help).

Fingers crossed for New York LOTTO tonight....6 tix for tonight....and as long as they are crossed, it looks like the LCF board's poting problems are solved.....YAAAAY!

WOW....you should see the Hudson River. It's 40 degrees warmer than the air above and thus it's STEAMING!!!!

I've decided to skip the norvasc (calcium channel blocker for HBP) this morning and see if I sleep tonight...gotta isolate these one at a time.

Funny PLUS symptom....the winter pains in my fiinger joints that often have me soaking my hands in hot water first thing in the morning (Carol too)....disappeared with the surgery/blood thinner????....how weird is THAT!

Good Day YOU Magnificient Maintainers!

Brrrrrr! agin! -27C going up to -23C this aft, sunny with blue skies today though, so that is a bonus for the light. Going up into the single digits tomorrow -9C promised by the weatherman. So should be able to manage a walk outdoors.

DD wants to go looking for Maternity Clothes agin! She says she is short of tops. She has several Mat outfits now! She is enjoying every minute of this long awaited pregnancy!

So gotta get ready for shopping, she is coming by to pick me up....me too, loving every minute of this pregnancy!

DH's birthday tomorrow the 11th, and our Wedding Anniversary on Wednesday the 14th, so a double celebration with DD and DSIL tonight. Indian Cuisine......looking forward to that!

Wishing you All a relaxing weekend!

Hey you two early birds. You sure have a head start here for Saturday.

Zip the atenolol does not keep me awake, in fact it seems to slow me down a little. DH takes norvasc and is frequently up during the night. Your blood sure must be flowing at a much better clip now. Did that doc say you were right about that blockage?
Congrats for the state there getting with the times. I think more will follow. It is about time.

Linda does your DD live by herself? Just curious. I has got to be very hard for her. I am so glad that you finally could get her admitted. Follow up will be difficult, maybe she can stay with you for a while once she completes the 30 days. She needs a good doc for that surgery.

Susan good to hear from you. Boy your DH gets to go to Fla again. Pretty soon you will get your chance, but for now you need to be sticking close to DD and that grandbaby. Glad she is moving along without any problems. Your winter driving solutions sound like my cup of tea. Heated seats, inside parking
Do you even know it's winter.

Julie is Jana the DGD you will be getting from DDs? Just curious. She is such a pretty young gal. We cannot tell our kids how to live their lives. It just does not work, but we sure end up on the worrying end of it all. We want the best for them. I really think that my DIL should have just moved up north to be with DS. Here she is and there he is. It just makes life stressful. I resent her staying here. Her other DD would have adjusted much easier than DIL will when she does move there. DIL does not really want to leave this area. Enough of my whine.

Shawnee glad that you and Jackie got together to "clink those coffee cups". How neat. I am trying to get a pic of SPOT, my doggie friend. I have been carrying camera with me, but no SPot. I saw him the other day walking with another woman.

We seem to be having furnace problems again and have started a wood fire. I don't think we will get any one here today. We do have some ancillary electric heat and have that going in the bedroom (far from the wood stove) IT is getting frustrating to say the least.

Ginny I sure hope you don't get that cold but your chances of NOT getting it are slim living right there with the germs. Do your best and stay rested up and get some extra VIT C.

Barb I hope you are cured now from your cold. Enjoy your weekend off.

Jackie just jumping into the next project. Will that be the last one? Or do you have another one waiting in the wings.

Hi to Pam and the rest of the gang and lurkers.

Boy it's freezing still here. Last night it got to -21 and right now it's -3. Oh well it did make it to 0 this afternoon.

Roger, hope you find out which med is causing your lack of sleep.
I wouldn't buy a chair without a test "sit" either. You would only have to take it apart and try to get it back in the box to return it. Not a fun job. Been there, done that.

Cali and Roger, I'm laughing at your early morning card game. Maybe some morning I'll join you. Yeah right I don't get up that early.

Susan, Your daughter must be so very excited. Is she showing yet? My DIL was at 3 months.
It's going to be a week of celebration for you and DH. Wish him happy birthday from all of us.

Loretta, It's unfortunate that DDL is too selfish to move to be with her husband. She needs to grow up a little.

NOT furnace problems again??? Do you know what is wrong with it this time?

DD does live alone. She has a small two bedroom house about 5 miles from us. Yes she is going to need lots of support and should be seeing a professional about it after she gets out. I can only hope that it works.
Roger this new med they use seems to be a miracle. She has virtually no withdrawal symptoms today. I'll visit her tomorrow and find out what it is.

More later, I have lots of catching up to do around here.. Besides it's cold in this basement and I need to warm up a bit upstairs.

Hi Y'all

Shoot, I won't complain about temps here, after seeing Susan and Montana's....wheeeew! Don't get ANYTHING frostbitten.

Montana, HOO-RAH that things are going well with DD in treatment; yup, sure hope she seeks help.

Susan, tell us all about that shopping trip. Ironically or coincidentally..tomorrow is my DH's B-day also!...this place is crawling with Capricorns...and if all goes as planned, Loretta's newest DGBaby will be one too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our Birthday Boys

Loretta, too bad your DIL is too old for a spanking...sounds like she needs one. Continued Best Wishes for the DGBaby's health.

Ginny, guess y'all are busy with getting bathroom equipment rounded up...ironically, so is Jacki ! BIG jobs, those bathrooms...dang, that plumbing is a monster job. Good Luck Y'all..hope Murphey's Law is on vacation in China.

When we bought the pickup last month, the salesguy took a pic of me, just as I was ready to exit the lot...with my goofy - freebie Chevy hat on, no less
Today, said pic arrived in the mail...made into a calendar, advertising Chevs, of course....

YAHOO, I've finally arrived, I'm a Chevy Calendar Girl!

Hi to Babs, Julie, Tink, Annie, Zipster and lurkers.

Be warm, be content, be safe...may tomorrow bring ya good stuff.

Wow Carol, look at you in that beautiful BIG truck!! Are they giving those calendars to all customers? How cool!
A Big Happy Birthday to your DH to.

Here's hoping that Laurie will do what she is supposed to do. That damn med is a bear.

Ginny and Jackie, I don't envy you that bathroom job. Been there, done that too although I didn't do the plumbing.

Hey gang,

WOOHOO look at that HOT BABE in that big ol' truck!

Cold here today (for us) only in the 30's...that's above, by the way. Anyone colder than me has my sympathies! Today we got the cabinets and more OSB. We looked at the shower stalls and will get that and the supplemental water heater (20 gal electric for INSTANT hot water) and the sink tomorrow. Ran out of room in Redneck Girl's bed. For those of you who don't know, Redneck Girl is my pickup

Zip, how has your BP been since the surgery? Stay in and out of the cold now!

Linda, so glad your DD got admitted. Hopefully once she's detoxed she'll chose treatment. Being a heavy equipment operator, if she's messed up even on scripts she could lose her job. Heck, I wouldn't want to take anything that could make me loopy or drowsy on my little forklift!

Loretta, so what's up with the furnace now? Sheesh, you just had the dang thing fixed!

Shawnee, lookin' good in that truck! Have you got running boards or a step up yet? Those 4WD are tall!

Susan, enjoy the shopping trip your DD deserves to make the most of it after this long wait!

Julie, are you getting one of the DGB's staying with you? I must have missed something?

Cali, so what breed of horses do you have? Ours are American Saddlebreds, a mare and a gelding. Also, does llama wool itch like sheep's wool? Inquiring minds, and all that, yanno!

Well, all, off to lurk for a bit. Hey to everyone, stay warm and safe!

What a game of cards you two have going. Wish I could join you but Linda and I are just going to bed about that time.

Zip, no ice storm here and into the 40's again. Snow almost gone. Rain is back. Sorry you can't sleep. Bummer. Hope you figure out which one you need to quit. Maybe a quick call to the Dr. office so you don't make a mistake and go off one you're not suppose to. Worry wort here.

Susan, my DH birthday is the 15th!!! How weird is this?????
Hope DD found some good buy's on maternity clothes/

Loretta, Yes, Jana is DD oldest DD. She is the 14 yo. Giving her a break from the mother who has flipped. One of these days, she'll straighten up and become a mother again.

Shawnee, pretty nice looking truck and hey look at that girl in there too. What a beauty!!!

Hi Linda, hope you got a good night sleep last night.

Off to go be with DGD.

Ginny, we must have been posting at the same time. No DGD isn't living with me, but comes as often as she can. She and her mom are not seeing eye to eye at all. Turmoil ever day. DD has really decided to be strict after years of not being strict. Just since the new bf has come in the pic. Now he is trying to do the disciplining too. No go in my book. I'll take her anytime she needs refuge.
