Hi Y'all
Thanks for all the concern/ well wishes for ol' Chuckster....I really appreciate it He didn't have any symptoms of cold/ flu, more of an intestinal thingy...sure knocked him on his butt. Happy to report he is back to being hell on wheels again, rippin' around and eating like a pig. ![]() Will keep this short for right now, wanna get a few pics posted, with the usual disclaimer that I can't seem to take a decent pic ..I'll blame it on the lighting this time ![]() Here's the fireplace...I added the white boards and painted the wall two-toned. LOL, years ago, the bricks were the origional rose-rust...then I painted them federal blue...then this "crazy-quilt" stuff. The Southwestern pics are by Cherokee artist Carol Grigg. (repros, of course!) ![]() ![]() Switched pics around; this is the "inspirational" one I chose the paint colors from. It hung over the fireplace 15 years...time for a change, huh??? ....still love it....also Carol Grigg. ![]() Here's the drapes (cream is chenille)...kinda Forties oldfashioned look...I covered some buttons for a trim (top)...LOL..I don't have a style, just whatever I like, mix 'em up to match my eclectic personality . All fine with Bob, as long as I do it at bargain-basement prices. ![]() Yesterday was our 29th Anniversary. Going out of town this afternoon to a Reservation Casino...wish us luck LOL, at least the food is great there. Prime rib, here we come ! ![]() Have a content day, stay well and warm. Hi everybody. It's cold and the roads are just a mess here. Gotta get my butt in gear and get out to work this evening. I'll be home around 9 or so.
Julie have a good time where ever you are going. Carol, your decorating job is spectacular!!You did a wonderful job. The horse pictures over the fireplace look perfect there. Your drapes are so elegant looking too. That must have been a lot of work. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and good luck at the casino. Ginny, thanks for sharing pups pictures. They are getting so big. Waving to Loretta, Roger, Pam, Jackie and Susan. Later. |

Gee lots of pictures to look at today.
Carol your room is really pretty. You have done a tremendous job of picking up those colors from the picture. Those draperies must have been a chore with that chenille material. Lots of fuzzies from it?? Hey 29th HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. Have a great time celebrating and enjoy that Prime Rib (one of my all time favorites). Good luck!!. Ginny those pups sure have grown a lot in a short time. I can see where that puppy food bill has got to be larger than your own for you and DH. They seem to be lavished in affection in your pics no wonder they are thriving. Susan good to hear from you and that you are enjoying that vacation and warm weather. Linda had a good idea for you to check and see if they have a web site. You could sent the site to your DD and you could shop together on line. WTG. I have shopped several times that way getting my sisters help. Good news today on DGB (Ruby Roberta) Leah I think will be her name. The High Rish Doc is not that worried. SHe would have drained the cyst right there today if the cyst had been bigger. IT is about 4 cm. now. Doc says that lots of time after giving birth the cyst will disappear from the infant once it gets away from the mother's hormones. They will follow up after she is born. If it gets bigger before birth it can be drained by High Risk. But follow up can be done here locally before delivery by ulstrasound. Great news for the expecting couple and grandma. Gotta go and work on that quilt. L8ter L retta |

Good Afternoon Guys!
It is hard to belive this is December with all this Sunshine. The folks that live down here take it for granted, that's only natural. Not this Northerner! Walking the dogs every morning, noon and night with no coat! WOW! Just lovin it! We return on Tuesday and back to work Wednesday evening for the Smokers Group. I have to renew my CPR and defibrillater stuff on Wednesday afternoon, Yuk! Then working Thursday all day at the office. DH is helping DS with an installation today with two other guys! It is his busy time of Year! We are so glad that he continues to do well. He is truly blessed with very nice people around him. CAROL!!!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! MAY 29 YEARS BRING YOU LUCK AT THE CASINO! Ya know what they say Lucky in Love...........sending good vibes your way! So glad your prayers and TLC helped your little one return to good health! Gorgeous pics and excellent handy work. You have great taste! Glad your DH doesnt mind, I guess not, with such exceptional results. Julie, Hope you have a good time, "out of town." Thanks for being the cheerleader encouraging us to get into the Christmas Spirit....yikes dare I say Christ...mas! I am totally stuck down here. I have my cards bought up in Canada and all my addresses are up there. I have quite a few to go to the UK and a couple to go to Australia. DH's brother and his bros married daughters are in Melbourne. I'll be in a big rush on the 12th my day off to write the essential ones and mail them. Typical Christmas! How is Bo doing on his medication? What do they use to kill tapeworm? Just antibiotics? Linda, Yes, we found the websites for several Maternity Stores, she is not sure till she tries them on! Sheesh!!! Oh, well I will take a chance, good prices. She wants a doppler belt or heart beat monitor too. I will check down here before paying thru the nose up North. Thanks Linda for the great tips. I never knew what Yahoo was all about and the free email. I will have to visit there and get hooked up for times like these. Thanks again! Have a great, short, shift tonight! I prefer half days too, these days! Loretta, So glad to hear DGB will be okay. What a cute name, she sounds wonderful already. How close are you to finishing her a quilt? Is the due date in January?.......I know you told us way back! Hope all works out well for your DS, he is in my thoughts. How is your DH these days, did the Gout get under control with those Meds? Wavin to Ya'all! Have a little bit of Laundry etc to do while DH is working today! I'll walk the dogs again soon, it is still Sunny and Dry, expecting showers this aft. Beach again tomorrow! ![]() Last edited by SuSUN : 12-03-2003 at 11:59 AM. |

Hi everybody,
Happy Anniversary, Carol...I hope your casino trip is lots of fun. My cat experience is that whatever they have, they stop eating and it goes away. Sybil (my alltime favorite) went to the vet ONCE...to be put to sleep. (Although I did become expert at deworming (roundworms)! Your decorating skills are very well honed and graceful! Susan, We're having crystalling weather too but F..F....F....Frigid (25°F.) They THINK they found the source of the leak 2 floors up....as Jean Brody said: "We shall see what we shall see."Hooray, we just got an invite to a Christmas Day Party, so that solves the "what to do" problem. Bill always puts on a very nice spread and now he;s doing it with a new lover (I think it takes 5 years for "partner" ) so it will be all out!Passed the Shop-Rite beef and turned up nose in disdain ($3.49 for Bottom Round Roast...last was $1.29)...got a nice boneless pork loin for $1.49...Like Hatty McDaniel, "Miss Scarlett, I don't know NUTHIN anout roastin no pork" but I guess at my old age it's time to learn. All I know is you serve applesauce with it and rosemary is good with everything! ![]() My beef boycott is going strong. SAVE THE COWS (Gee, I just discovered the neat red x on top for "close current tag"...KEWL!) Oh yeah, We're finally going to a John Dean MEET UP tonight a 7. Fortunately it's just about 15 minute down the waterfront. All the organizing nationwide has been done on the internet. This will be our first REAL meeting- all the previous NJ meetings have needed a car.

Roger, they finally found the leak?? It's about time, eh? So when are they going to repair your floor?
Beef is outrageously priced here too as are eggs for heavens sake! I'm beginning to wonder if it isn't because of the surge of interest in low carb plans. Yup applesauce MUST always be served with pork roast. So how are you going to cook yours? I like to slather it with garlic and applesauce and bake. It just adds something to it. You mean the John Dean author of "Unmasking Deep Throat"? Cool. We want to hear all about it. Susan, shush! My CPR and defib certification expired a few months ago and I'm not going to say a thing if the Facility doesn't catch it. So you have a fussy daughter too. She can always send thing back if they don't fit or she doesn't like them. Sorry your wonderful vacation is almost at an end. Bummer! Loretta, what wonderful news for you and the parents to be. Everyone must be so relieved. Isn't it amazing what can be done these days? How's the quilt coming along? We want to hear from Carol about her casino trip and where did Julie run off to this am? Let's hear all about it. |

Finally made it back here. Dinner is over and birthday presents wrapped for Friday. Going to iron my 120 lenght tablecloth and get it out of the way. Friday is a full day so tomorrow i'll be cleaning, grocery shopping, taking Bo for a shampoo and cooking. Making shrimp fettucinni, salad, broccoli and homemade rolls. Desset will be chocolate mousse. Now what can I put my shrimp sauce over? I have some cauliflower in the fridge I guess I can cook up. The house will smell wonderful!!
Carol, I love your new deco job! Wow, you did a grand job on it. Wish I could see it in person. Thanks for the pics! A big happy anniversery on 29 years big ones. Linda, so do you have snow or just slick roads? Susan, Bo was on only one pill for the tapeworms and suppose to be all he needs. He was on antibiotics for the infected anal gland. Must have been related as he was dragging his butt. Catch 22 I think. Bet you're going to be sorry to leave that wonderful weather and come home. But you'll be happy to see DD. Ginny, love the pup ics. My they are growing. you have quite a houseful!!! Did you take out stock in one of the dog food co.? L retta, great news about DIL!!! Are ya going to post pic of the new quilt?Roger, hows the link problem coming? Off to do my "once a year" ironing. I actually like to if I had more time.

Hi Y'all
Back home and bone-tired..LOL...and only $11 LESS than we started with...NO big winnings, but not too bad since we did lunch, drinks, gambling and dinner ![]() 55 minutes stuck sitting on the Freeway during return trip, due to an accident. Semi load of Christmas trees overturned, and smacked a pickup...no idea about injuries. Thank you all for the Anniversary wishes and sweet Home Improvement comments. Made my day ! ![]() Ginny, thanks a ton for the FurBabies' pics, dee-lightful...all so huggable I especially love the one of all five, patiently waiting for the goodies. The wee ones have sure grown. Charming dolls!Loretta, wonderful news re your new DGBrat-to-be...a big relief! ![]() Love those names! We can call her Ruby Tuesday on the BB.. ![]() No, not too many fuzzies, material is thick and short-napped...thank goodness. ZIP, I know ya have great memories of your Sybil. ![]() LOL on the Hatty comment Wish I could give ya a piece of my Rosemary, its 2 ft tall. Love pork roast, yum.Sounds like you will be in a flood-free zone soon. ![]() Julie, you're gonna have a busy day, and your menu sounds great! I iron maybe once or twice a year too... well, a tad more than that, but not much more. Its freezing here tonight, are you having the same?Susan, you and DD will have so much fun buying Baby things. With my first GBrat, I bought 2 of everything...so I could have 1 of everything at my house too. LOL Enjoy that sun while ya can ...and your Son too. ![]() Montana, yup...gotta have that applesauce with pork ![]() Have your local bears gone to bed yet? I recently read an article about "citified" bears, and how the available food/garbage has changed their hibernation habits... they weigh more/sleep less than their wild cousins that don't have access to people food. Glad you're getting in some fun times with GBrats and GPups. ![]() Jacki, hope you can get a chance to post soon, and let us know how you are doing. I know ya have another major project, moving the bathroom...after the bedroom is finished...hehee, y'all are gluttons for punishment. It will all be so worth it, tho I'm sure you sometimes wonder about that when you have sheetrock dust in your hair. ![]() Hey Tink, what's the sneaux level there? Bet its really pretty. Hope studies, work, and family life are all going well. Be warm and content. CLast edited by shawneesioux : 12-03-2003 at 11:58 PM. |

Hey gang,
Late me here today! Shawnee, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Glad y'all had a good time and hope the wreck wasn't too bad...wonder what happened to cause it... Love the remodel pics too. You've sure been a busy gal! Loretta, very happy for the good news on the GBrat-in-process! I know you're all tickled. Zip, hope the cleanup and all goes well for you. Good thing they finally found the leak...that sure had to be a PAIN! Do you get to pick at least the colors for what they replace? Linda, have the roads cleared up any? Please be very careful out there and watch out for the fools who don't know what they're doing. We have plenty of them here, and they scare me! Julie, you are really keeping ahead of the game! Sheesh, IRONING???? I own an iron but have yet to use it. Your meal sounds wonderful. What time is dinner? Susan, glad you're having such a great time! Enjoy the heat while it lasts, but I know you'll be glad to get back home and with that DD you get to pamper ![]() Pam, check in when you can! Well, all, off to bed for me.
