Did you think I ran off again??? Puter problems
Here I am again.
Don't know what is happening with this computer..but the repairman was here and got it up and running again. New hard drive and he had to wipe it, reformat it and reinstall windows. He doesn't even know what is causing it. Says it's weird. Oh, and right off the monitor wouldn't start!!! So, I got my old monitor from my brother and the repairman hooked it up and wha....la!! It worked! Later when he rehooked up the Dell monitor it wouldn't wouldn't work.....then he accidently jiggled the monitor and it came on!! Hmmmmmm, talk about fortuitous! Happened for the repair man!! He told Dell about that and they are sending me a new monitor! Today he installed new video, audio and modem cards. My puter is almost totally new now! So far tonight it is running smooth but I'm very gun shy. I think if an additional year warranty isn't much I will buy it and give this machine another year to make sure all is ok. Cheaper than buying a new puter. |

Yes we wondered where you had gone off to. Glad you have that computer up and running again because we missed you on our daily thread. We will keep our fingers crossed that that darn thang works for a good long time.
