Anyone NOT gaining any weight while pregnant?

So is anyone pretty far along and not gaining? Is it safe not to gain at all? I really want to keep my weight gain at a bare minimum, but I wonder what my dr is going to say about it all?

Right now I am 7 weeks pregnant and have gained 4 pounds so far. Actually, I gained it all in one night. So it's probably water.

I should be so lucky!!! I am just over 10 weeks gone and have gained 5 lbs so far. I told my midwife that I wanted to keep weight gain to a minimum as I have worked hard to lose weight and don't want to pile it back on. As long as I am eating healthily and there are no ill-effects from my WOE choices, then she is happy. Hopefully your Dr will say the same!

Now from what I have read that if you gain anything under twenty lbs then you have the chance of your baby being a premie.

I am 12 weeks and have gained 3-5 lbs..just depend...Well I will be 12 weeks tomorrow.

I am 18 weeks and have gained 5 lbs...

Weight fluctuates a pound or two, now I'm on the low end. It's been a slow and steady gain, I weigh myself every day. It's between 5-6 lbs so far. I'm really happy with that. I gained 22 lbs with my last daughter and she was only 2 weeks early. I gained 25 lbs with my first and she was 6 weeks early. I know many people who were overweight to begin who have gained little or no weight and they and their babies were just fine. The important thing is that the baby is growing and thriving.

Well I have a friend who lost weight with all 3 of her pregnancies and had had babies that weighed over 8 pounds each. She had a lot of morning sickness and was very overweight though.

I gained only about 6 lbs during my last pregnancy. I was concerned about it, but my Dr. assured me that my baby was taking what she needed from me (from my own fat reserves). This was evident after I had my DD and I lost 20 or so lbs. Don't worry, while you're PG your body will provide for your baby.

Oh yeah, my DD weighed 9 lbs 10 oz at birth.

I am almost 33 weeks and have only gained 10 lbs. But, that's acutally more weight than I gained with my last two pregnancies put together. I have a strange pregnancy metabolism (how I wish it were my regular metabolism ), and tend not to gain much weight when I'm pregnant (I gain it all afterwards ).

I did start this pregnancy 40 lbs. lighter than my last, so I figure that is why I've gained more. When I discovered I was pregnant, I went off low-carbing for several months. But I felt so crappy I started back on maintenance two months ago. I haven't gained a lb since then. My OB isn't concerned, though, since the baby is right where it should be for size, and very active.

My first two kids were both born over 7 lbs., and a week overdue. I wouldn't be too concerned about your weight gain, as long as you know you are eating healthy and the baby is growing on schedule.

I think if you are at healthy weight (or worse- skinny) when you get pregnant- it's probably not good to not gain any.
However, I don't agree with that you must gain atleast 20lbs if you are already overweight... I know many that are actually encouraged to not gain more than 15-20lbs during pregnancy because they are so overweight. One friend of mine even LOST weight (8lbs) overall- but she was probably atleast 120-150lbs overweight to begin with- so that might be why it didn't cause any problems.
