Hi everybody,

Well it's Fall and, just like last Fall my back went out. I didn't post yesterday because I couldn't get off the sofa except to pee...and then with much cursing. Next time I'm n a hospital they will be missing a bedpan. Strange, I woke up with puffy hands and sore knees BEFORE the back went. Curious connection...AND with the first cool weather (60°F).

Bought a new scale at SEARS Saturday....returned it Sunday. All I ask is that if I step on it 6 times in a row it gives the same reading 6 times...shouldn't be rocket science. Oh well, that's what the RETURN DESK is for.

Bye Loretta, have a pleasant trip (although funerals are rarely a barrel of monkeys.)

Welcome back Linda,
You'll be playing computer catch-up for the next couple days.

Susan,
Give me a couple days and I'll mail you my recommendations for a nice home-made light rig. I worked up a good writeup and posted on my "other" site, but that crashed and everything went Bye-Bye.....<grumble> Do you have a well mirrored bathroom?

To all a good day. I'll be back on the sofa with my SOMA (carisoprodol) after I shower and have breakfast. I'll try to dig out a good book....18 hour stints of TV aren't really the Cat's Meow...like Charlie is!

Good Morning Boys and Girls!

It is much cooler today, but those blue skies are still beckoning me to look up at them, they are dotted with the odd cloud but that magnificient blue is still there! Helps lift the spirits eh? The sun is peeking out too from behind those clouds.

Roger,
Awwwwh, I wondered what had happened to you. I know you have it under control, the pain meds, some distractions to keep you busy and rest. Mine has finally gone, just terrible stiffness when I first get out of bed but the leg pain and stuff has lessened.
What did you do, was it the bike ride or did you lift something in a awkward way? Yikes, who knows what causes our backs to react this way. It sure slows ya down eh? Hope you are back to full strength soon. I know you were planning a gettaway with Bob.
Thanks for the info on the Lux light whenever you are ready, no hurry. Yes, I do have a well mirrored bathroom.

WELCOME BACK LINDA!
Glad to see ya back posting and hope that you are feeling refreshed for your change of venue!
Love the pic of your new Kitty! Wow, would want the food bills for that Mama!

Shawnee,
Thanks for your concern for my pup. Oliver is okay, just his skin gets irritated and itchy in just those two spots. I apply the cream and then it settles down for a couple of days. I think the wet grass these past couple of days may have something to do with it.
Are ya off to Curves agin today?

Wavin to Ya'all. Hope to check back later!

A quick run through again. Just got a phone call and so am running later than usual.
Roger, so sorry you're hurting again. Take care and we'll be thinking about you. Post when you can.

Susan, you've keep this bb going this past week. Thanks. How's little Olivers rash today? Are the meds working again?

Off to walk with a friend and back to the dentist again. Almost ready to call it quits. Don't think I'll ever have a good denture like my first one that lasted for 33 years. Grrrrrrrr

Hi everybody,

Haven't really been on line much at all since we got back. There is just too much unpacking and putting away to do. Ugh!!

Oh Roger, your poor back. Hopefully you will go see that Neuro and get the damned thing taken care of once and for all.
Feel better soon.

Humm swollen hands and knees?? Have you ever had an ANA test done? Normal values are 1 to 10 and anything above would suggest auto immune problems.

Susan, I'm glad Oliver's itch settles down after you apply the cream. Poor critter.

It's great to be back. LOL Yes the food bill for that 600 lb. Tabby Tiger would be a budget breaker.

Oh Julie, sorry you can't get those dentures to fit properly. I would continue going back till that dentist gets it right. After all, it's their job.

Hopefully Loretta had a safe trip.

Where are Pam and Ginny?

Shawnee, hopefully you are enjoying some nice warm weather outside. It's rather cool here right now.

Off to fold laundry but I'll check back later.

Linda

Hi Y'all

Had a surprise Thunderstorm this AM, then rain off and on all day...we needed it, and the air smells fresh and clean again. We have been breaking too many HOT day records, glad to see a respite.

OH, ZIP...your poor back Certainly hope you find relief soon. A good book certainly takes one's mind off the pain. Yes, its nice (and rare) to find accurate scales....and yes, the Chuckster is the Cat's Meow...and he knows it.

Julie, did y'all get this surprise rain/thunder? Hang in there and fight for your dental rights, "tooth and nail" ...and good luck with it.

Susan, its good that lil Oliver has such a concerned mom, to look after him...don't we feel badly when our furkids have problems?
I went to Curves today...some of the music was kinda Hip-Hop stuff, and I cannot relate to it...so I tuned it out and just worked my butt off. (anyway, I'm TRYING to work my butt off LOL)

Montana, are you getting adjusted to being back home...and reality? LOL, nothing like your own bed, kitchen, washing machine...BTW, I have gotten completely hooked on Plain yogurt...but have read several places that Calcium aborts the absorbtion of thyroid meds...so I try to keep the Armour and yogurt separated by 6 hours.

Hi to Ginny, Jacki, Tink, Loretta, and Lurkers.

Shawnee
