SUNDAY, August 10

Good morning everybody,

First sober day (and no hangover)...that's a plus. Mood is a bit more upbeat and hopeful today.Weather continues hot and wet with a warm fog greeting every new day.
I was AMAZED that the July electric bill was only $59...I was expecting $159 <scratching head> I hope it wasn't an "estimated" bill. I guess last year was dry (no rain all summer) but BOILING HOT. Anyone who says that the climate isn't rapidly being affected by greenhouse gasses is NUTS.

Theater and dinner out tonight. Seeing a new musical comedy that was a hit in CINCINNATTI (can you believe) called SOMETHING ABOUT MEN...just opened this week.

Loretta,
Actually those big lecithin cans are easier to get a hand into than the 14 ouncers because the opening is 5 inches (an inch or two bigger than the 14 ouncers). Be careful of the ones you have; that inner lip is like a razor blade (get a really long spoon). My Puritan Pride catalogue expires 9/5/03 so I don't know if the 3 for 1 sale will end then???

Susan,
When is your surgery? I assume that it's the open biopsy- I, too, must have missed your post!

Linda,
When are you leaving for the wide open, burnt out lands? Do you use a house trailer/camper kind of thing. My idea of "roughing it" is a motel WITHOUT a pool.

Julie,
Who is that ghostly image sitting on the chair in front of the window in your signature pic (another grandson or a large doll?)

Ginny, Jackie, Pam, Shawnee (in alphabetical order) have a very nice SunDay (misnomer in the Northeast)

Good morning all. Just got back from breakfast. Had a nice Atkins breakfast....the resturant must be listening to customers. Now if they'd just get more than one lowcarb offering. Makes it so much easier to order when you don't have to reconfig the menu.

I have to get some semblence (sp) of order in this house today. Gawwwdddd I hate housework.

Zip, I'm glad your mood is better.

General question: What is the difference between normal mode and enhanced mode?

Good morning everyone,

Jackie, House work is awful but a necessary evil.
I don't have a clue what Normal or Enhanced Mode mean. Enhanced is checked on mine and I don't fool with it.

Ginny, I'm mostly lurking and waking up with coffee.
Moms will be here and I need to run to the Grocery store to get some cheese for a spinach pie thingy.

Roger, Glad you are feeling better. Lordy hangovers are NOT fun.
Doesn't your electric bill say if it was an Actual read? Ours is read every other month. July was only $77.00, almost unheard of.

We are leaving next month but I won't post the date here. I'll e mail everyone. Security reasons.
Hell NO! we don't camp or use a trailer. We have reservations for a nice, quiet motel in Missoula. It has a weekly rate, with micro and refrigerator of only $300 per week. Can't beat that.
I just checked the Missoulian and fires are all around there too as well as in Glacier. Most are somewhat contained. Keep your fingers crossed.
LMAO Look at this. http://missoulian.com/articles/2003/...owstonemon.txt
We are planning on staying in West Yellowstone for a week on the way home.

Waving to Shawnee, Loretta, Susan, Julie and Pam.
Back later

Hi

Glad you have made it back Zip from that other world. Thanks for the warning about the lecithin can. I might just keep putting it in a plastic zip lock bag as I have been doing with my other brand. I sent my brother an email about the C-Q 10 on sale also. Hope they repeat the sale when I run out. Enjoy the dinner and play today. Hope you get to sit down for this one.

Ginny lurking sounds like a good idea for a Sunday. I am usually in a hurry and forget about the other good stuff out on this ww web. I love it.

Jackie I try not to do too much house work, just enough to keep the place healthy. Dh always asks when I start cleaning who is coming for a visit. I usually do get the place cleaned up though, my soul needs it. I think is you look on one of the posts that explains how to use the bb you might find the answer. I used to know but have forgotten.

Linda now you have to worry about a volcanic eruption. Wooeee
What else can we add to the pile. Hey are you going to be able to check in with us while on vacation. Don't know if we can take a long time without you and your advice. You seem to have lots of answers for some tough questions. I am trying to copy them down. If I will only be able to find the right answer when the time comes.

Shawnee enjoy that visit. Don't let those kids wear you out. Don't lose too many beans at the poker table. Are you busy cooking most of the time? Hope not.

HI to Susan and Pam.

Later, Loretta

HI Y'all

Glad to see y'all sounding chipper!
I'm happily exhausted, the last ones just left...been kinda like revolving doors here, comings and goings with various ones...

Major laid -back good times, I haven't had so much "enjoyment" with my Clan for too long ( and for being the World's Greatest Mom..LOL)..I was rewarded with an Alaskan pullover....but I liked the praise and hugs even better.

DSon did the BBQing last night and we enjoyed the backyard til after dark, then inside for Poker, etc til after one! (Earlier it was Marathon Cribbage games.) DSon made us play by Casino rules (tough) with 21, Texas Hold'ems, Stud...and he LOST

Think I could use a wee bit o' nap now.....ZZZZzzzzzzz

Be back later.

Shawnee

Good Sunday Guys!

Had a lovely lazy morning. Watched a bit of TV, love Dr. Schullers weekly lessons on "Hour of Power." DH was watching soccer! Watched a Professor from Princeton University discussing the reasons why Osamin Bin Laden has risen to power, very interesting talk. I took a few notes, may be able to enlarge it for a speech at my TMs. Always looking for something interesting to "talk" about, as I enhance my speaking skills.

It is drizzly up here today and humid. Spoke to a cousin in England this morning and she is melting! They only have fans, no A/C and they are not used to high 80s and 90s temps.

We were at DDs last night for supper with her company from England, had a relaxing time. DD is still slightly irritable, but she seems to be enjoying the company and her pool, even though the landscaping outside of the fence is not completed yet. They go back on Wednesday and she has more coming at the end of August.

I packed all the paperwork and reading material for the Prenatal Groups away in a large box, that felt cathartic to "put it away." LOL! Yep, saying NO to that for the time being.

Loretta, the Tobacco Groups start up the third week of September, so lots of time off till then. Just have to go into the office, phone and paperwork till then.

Julie and Roger, the surgery in not till August 28th, Pre-Op day is August 20th, so thanks to Linda getting lots of vitamin C into me in plenty of time for it. It is an open biopsy for a suspicious area to determine the pathology if benign or the other! I am not overly concerned, as I am quite hopeful it is benign. Second opinion suggests I have the open biopsy, first opinion leave and check with annual mammograms. I guess I have one of those enquiring minds.......LOL! I know I will get anxious on the day of Surgery.

West Nile work is stepping up so I may be working on that for the next little while, educating the public, explaining and reassuring folks.

Jacki, I'm with you on housework, a necessary evil......its just gotta be done! As Loretta says it IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL! Now if I could just get into Baking.........nuf said. Dont have all the right bakeware sizes and seem to be lacking the ingredients, there is always something missing, today I am out of almond flour, I have WW flour and oat flour, so may improvise!

Ginny, that spiced cuppa tea sounds delicious, a wake up without caffiene, I'm impressed! It is Soooooo good to hibernate eh????
Been practising that for years, only venture out where necessary and visit DD......recluse, hermit lifestlye, or too much stimulation when with people.

Shawnee, Great pics, Wow the size o' those Fish! A steroid patch agin? Lots of Fish and Chips there eh?????? Loved the idea of cash and beans, sounds like a Mexican dish? LOL! May be able to employ the bean idea at DDs over the winter months playing cards.

WELCOME BACK ROGER! Sooooo glad to have you back posting, stay with us! Wishing you a Fab dinner an show tonight. I see the Brit.coms are coming back and voting is taking place on PBS. I wonder which shows we will get?
What do you know about the Man from La Mancha? DS is singing, "The Impossible Dream" (the quest) at a Headress Ball in Orlando to raise funds for HIV. I am not well versed on Shows!

Wavin to Ya'all!

Hi, there. It's been a bit busy, to say the least. Older family is relocating here to Lake Tahoe. They've been staying with us. Am I repeating news? I've been looking after almost 2 year old grand-brat, so the race is on! There was a drowning yesterday on the lake. Helicopters were flying around, so I went down to the lake to see what the heck was going on, thinking there was another fire. Turns out that a guy was on an innertube riding behind a boat. He flipped off, the boat went back to pick him up, and he never resurfaced. He was not wearing a lifejacket. Stupid, stupid, stupid. There were strong currents, due to being windy. Divers, cop boats, etc., were all in on the recovery.
Zip--Keep up the good work on staying sober, and feeling good! I'm rooting for you.
Ginny--Enjoy your day. Nothing wrong with lurking, as I'm at that mode, if even, lately.
Jackie--We haven't met, but Hello to you! I think enhanced mode is being able to use color, etc., on your posts. But then again, I'm a computer dummy.
Linda--I'm with you on the style of camping. Been there, done that on tents and tent trailer contraptions. Boy, that made vacationing too much work!
Shawnee--Sounds like a good time was had by all in your family. Oh, I'm getting over to Curves 3X a week. It's sure hard with the three ring circus at my place lately.
Susan--It's a great idea to pump yourself up at your healthiest pre surgery. Keep the faith! I, too, always enjoyed Dr. Schuller's messages. Reminds me of my youthful church-going days.
Loretta--May your Sunday be full of good old relaxation! I think of you all often.
If not able to post much, I am still here!
