Hi everybody,

OK with computer, just having a couple days of depression/anxiety (crawl under the bed and sip martinis-you get the idea). Started drinking 12 days ago to celebrate the "vacation." It's at the morose stage now so I will quit again SATURDAY night until October 1....I might even extend it to Christmas holiday. That would be the wise thing to do. It's just not any fun anymore.

Of course the gooey weather continues. Humidity hasn't even once gone below 90% in nearly a month. I'm even boiling dish and bath towels because they start to smell by the second day. Bathtub grout needs almose weekly Cloroxing! With the Lamisil, clotrimazole, tolnaftate and Caldesene, I've almost cured the creeping crud (Jock Rash). I even got a little bit under my arms. I think I caught whatever the TUB has, but the idea of a crotch full of Clorox is not a good one.<ouch>

Anyhoo, I'll join Ginny in the battle against the extra couple pounds (like 10!). HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BTW.
Gym and Diet starting next week (with about 4 days of valium to calm the NOIVES )

I got my Lecithin on Wednesday...about 6 days...that's pretty fast and those 30 ounce cans are BIG! Had to take something out of the small upright freezer on the fridge and deep-freeze it to malke room. Are you still buying the pricey PANTETHINE, or have you switched to the cheaper Pantothenic Acid?

Woke up to the sound of rain. We had such a stretch of hot dry weather that I love this wetness.

Hi to all

Jackie thanks about using the almond flour. I will be trying that recipe out eventually. I have a freezer full right now and I am the only one eating these muffins. Congrats on getting some rain. How are the temps. Ours are like Rogers with lots of humitity.

Zip why don't you take that lecithin out of those cans and put it in a zip lock gallon container. It will make it much more flexible and easier to store. How on earth will you get it out of the can when you get near the bottom? I answered my own computer question. I just reset my screen saver to wait for 10 min. I will try that first. I tend to be multitasking when I turn on the pc and cannot stay with it while it gyrates to get booted up. Glad to hear that the booze is making you ill. It is working on a better healthier person for you. My lecithin is suppose to arrive today. IT is the Panthoenic Acid.

Linda Dh came in from fishing yesterday. The only bites he was getting were fly bites. Before he went out he rubbed some arthritis cream on his hands and knees and he said they were on fire. I guess that stuff is sun sensitive. Enjoy your lunch today and those crab legs. Too much work for me. I am not much of a sea food eater except for white fish. I read somewhere in a post from Pam that she now has a house full of company and dogs. One of the DD is living with them for a while in the process of moving. Will you be doing some "baking" on your vacation?

Shawnee I know how the time gets gone so fast too. Don't really know what I am busy about. Well yesterday the refrig has been leaking water on the floor. I found that the inside bottm of it was loaded with water. My only reasoning is that it was the condenser coils which are on the bottom of this fridge. So we vacummed them off and moved it out from the wall and cleaned that crud up (something like Zips bathtub only worse) Just takes time. Seems like Dh and I like talking to each other too and do some of that.

Got the running done this morning, but will have to make a list for Wallyworld over the weekend and hit that. Maybe make a midnight run so no one is there in my way

Zip, if the drinkin' makes you feel bad, time to quit. Kinda like me and my pig-out few days--I really felt crappy after all those carbs. Got to the point where the party in my mouth wasn't worth the backlash in the rest of me!

Loretta, never heard about sun sensitivity and arthritis creme...will have to remember that. Hopefully the fish will start biting and the flies will go away!

Shawnee, did you get Jacki's rain too? I know you 2 live close by eachother, but with the rain you never know where it will quit. Hope you got some and had a chance to run out and play in it with pup!

Hi everyone, I just got home from a delightful lunch with another low carber, Rory, from Checky and Ciel's bb. Wonderful gal! it was so comfortable, and we felt like old friends even though it was our first meeting. She has lost a total of 69 lbs so far with about 20 to go.
We were going to get the all you can eat crab legs, but at $22.00 neither of us felt we could do that price justice. I know I can't eat that many. Had the double scampi instead with a salad and steamed broccoli.
Did some retail therapy after, and now I'm off to take a shower and veg out.

Roger, gosh maybe it's about time to get rid of the booze if it makes you feel so awful. I don't like to see you depressed and anxious.
Glad your "problem" is getting better. That has to be so annoying. LOL NO don't use clorox THERE. OUCH!

Mold and mildew is all over here too and I'm severely alergic to mold spores. It sets off my asthma.

Jackie, glad you are getting some much needed rain out on the left coast. It's been far too hot and dry there.

Loretta, Oh your poor dh. The bugs are just awful this year with all the rain, and there is a bumper crop of mosquitos too. Get some DEET everyone. I heard on the news that west nile virus is getting really bad all over the country.
Yes we do a lot of cooking in our rooms and at my brother's when we are out there. It's just far too expensive to eat every meal out.

Ginny, LOL I goofed off today and got no cleaning done. Maybe tonight.
Wally world is nice late at night, eh? Right now all the SUNY students are coming back and it's really crowded there. I stopped after lunch to pick up a single burner electric thingy for our trip and it was mobbed with lots of pushy, loud Long Island people. GRRRR. They are rude as hell too.

Just getting here, been at the office all day!

Feeling quite tired, may have a nap if Oliver will let me!

Didnt get to bed till after 1a.m after the Prenatal Group I was so wound-up didnt feel sleepy till late. Then up at 6:30a.m for work today! TGIF!

Loretta, they already have asked me to facilitate two more Prenatal groups. I have given some excuses, so holding them at bay for now. I have to keep them happy just incase other work falls through.
DD does follow LC woe a little bit but she does not have a weight problem, she has always had a slim figure....lucky gal! She is an avid exerciser too! Thanks for the reminder that this can balance out the ole hormones too!

Loretta, do you know if lethicin thins the blood? cuz going for Sx and gotta stop all blood thinning meds, dont take any, only our vitamins etc.... I know vit E thins like asprin, just wondered about lethicin?

Susan as far as I know lecithin does not have any blood thinning properties. I do know that ginko biloba does, that and aspirin. Other than that except for a blood thinner by rx I cannot think of any. Guess you are still taking the lecithin too. What day next week are you going to have the surgery>

The Pork roast was a hit.

Now they are out on the town, Son took a herd of them to check out some of his ol' stompin' grounds. He and his son will be back to spend the night.

Susan, yes...be careful of what ya take pre surgery! Wow, you sure had a short night, not much down time. Hope you get caught up on your beauty sleep.

Montana, how great for you to meet and enjoy lunch with a fellow LCer. That was a steep price for Lunch. I've had reservations re meeting fellow BB friends for lunch; what if you discover you really don't like each other, and then it would be ackward to continue posting? (happened to a buddy, and she gave up her dear Flower and Plant BB) Anyhoo,glad ya had a good time! When we travel, we do some meals in restaurants, some in motels or campgrounds/parks.

Loretta, I think we all need more time to stop and "talk" with our SOs. Yup, always something coming up ( or breaking down) that's time consuming.

I've noticed that I've been sweating a lot more this past week at Curves...and its been a tad cooler!..so maybe I'm burning more fat??? LOL

I had some reservations about meeting her but it turned out fine. We did go to a low carb gathering at Stonecreeks's in KY. two years ago and it was fantastic. Some I didn't click with but most were so very nice. It was a three day thingy and we had a blast! Even met Lo and she is quite nice.

Sorry your buddy had to give up her bb because of one crapy person. That stinks! I would have just continued and ignored that one.

Susan, glad you only have Monday to work and the rest of the week off. If you don't want to do those PN groups, DON'T!! Its just not worth it.
Damn I do have that European gene. Someday I'll get over it, hopefully. I just can't stand dirt in the house.

Are you taking Omega3? I seem to remember something about that thinning the blood.

Edited to add: When I worked with the Plastic Surgeons we always told patient's to take 1000mg of Vit C every day for two weeks before surgery. It helps with clotting after surgery.

Enjoy that visit with your son. He will be excited to share his vacation memoirs with you. Did he fish too? Susan as far as I know lecithin does not have any blood thinning properties. I do know that ginko biloba does, that and aspirin. Other than that except for a blood thinner by rx I cannot think of any. Guess you are still taking the lecithin too. Montana, how great for you to meet and enjoy lunch with a fellow LCer. That was a steep price for Lunch. I've had reservations re meeting fellow BB friends for lunch; what if you discover you really don't like each other, and then it would be ackward to continue posting? (happened to a buddy, and she gave up her dear Flower and Plant BB) Anyhoo,glad ya had a good time! When we travel, we do some meals in restaurants, some in motels or campgrounds/parks. Loretta, I think we all need more time to stop and "talk" with our SOs. Yup, always something coming up ( or breaking down) that's time consuming. I've noticed that I've been sweating a lot more this past week at Curves...and its been a tad cooler!..so maybe I'm burning more fat??? LOL Goddess, Kick back and enjoy your FurBabies. Son caught several Halibut, the largest was 85 lbs. one of his buddies caught a larger one, which ticked him off! LOL Mountains from the plane, into Anchorage Son on Left, with his Catch of the Day ....and a little boozing...Son is third from Left. The dollars on the ceiling are periodically donated to Search and Rescue..( the bras and panties there, well..use your imagination..) and a bit o' gambling in the Cabin...using beans and big bucks. and, just because... We did go to a low carb gathering at Stonecreeks's in KY. two years ago and it was fantastic. Some I didn't click with but most were so very nice. It was a three day thingy and we had a blast! Even met Lo and she is quite nice. Sorry your buddy had to give up her bb because of one crapy person. That stinks! I would have just continued and ignored that one. Susan, glad you only have Monday to work and the rest of the week off. If you don't want to do those PN groups, DON'T!! Its just not worth it. Damn I do have that European gene. Someday I'll get over it, hopefully. I just can't stand dirt in the house. Are you taking Omega3? I seem to remember something about that thinning the blood. Edited to add: When I worked with the Plastic Surgeons we always told patient's to take 1000mg of Vit C every day for two weeks before surgery. It helps with clotting after surgery.
