Hi everyone,

Roger you must be busy packing and getting ready for your trip.
The weather doesn't look too bad. Just a chance of storms off and on for the next few days. Please check in before you leave and let us know if you will have computer access. We are sure going to miss you. < smooches and hugs>

Ginny, how is HT doing? I'm really concerned that her soon to be ex will cause some problems.
Tell her we are all thinking of her, OK?

Julie, Congratulations on the birth of that 8lb 3 oz new grandson.

Loretta, Shawnee, Susan, and Jackie, HI>

Pam, its good to know that your GD is out of the hospital. Check in when you can.

It's our 25th anniversary today so we are going out to dinner and pig out on seafood.

More later.

Hi to all

CONGRATULATIONS LINDA & GERARD ON 25 YEARS

Enjoy that celebration today. 25 years that is quite a milestone. Hope you two enjoy your special day in a grand way.

Shawnee I read that article in your paper about the yard sale and it sure looks like a great event with lots of local interest and community support. House hunting is such fun. I love to see the model homes and check out how they decorate them. You can usually come up with some good ideas too.

Zip hope you check in before you leave. If you just lurk I want to tell you to have a safe and happy vacation. Enjoy the break from the routine. I did order from the Puritans. I want you to know that.

Jackie that recipe for the muffins looked great. I have not used walnut flour in any but have used a lot of the almond flour. Right now I am hung up on the flaxseed muffins, no grinding and good quality muffins. Do you grind your own flour?

Hi to the rest of our MMs and lurkers.

Susan how was that dinner? Waiting for a full report on that.

Going out to pick more toms for canning soon.

Susan, how was your dinner? Hope y'all had a blast.

Zip, pack light, enjoy yourself! Check in as you are able. And safe drive too...

Shawnee, recovered from the sale-a-thon yet? ARe you still enjoying cooler temps and able to play outside? Still working on that rain for ya

Loretta, how many jars of 'maters reckon you'll put up? You have a bunch of plants, are they coming out your ears yet?

Loretta, I grind my flax, walnuts, almonds. I love flax in my baked food and grind it to make more fiber and use less wheat gluten. I love the taste.

Hi everybody,

Thanks for the congrats. Baby and mommy are doing fine. C-section had to be done cause the baby was having difficutly. He is so cute and normal looking. His big sister is so enthralled. She will be 4 in Sept. and wanted to hold him right away. He fussed a little quietly and Madison put both fingers in her ears. Ha!! Just let her wait. LOL Going back to the hospital soon. Will be having all 3 girls tomorrow overnight. They will help play with each other and keep me a little more free. The 13 yo can babysit for me when I go to a luncheon tomorrow. She's such a help.

Linda and Gerard...CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 25TH!!!! That IS quite a feat in this day and age. Enjoy that seafood dinner tonight.

Jacki, where do I find these good muffins??

Loretta, canning toms, they are sooo good but I hate canning. It does give you a good feeling when your done but not for me anymore. Did my share!

Roger, Are you ready to go?? Must be packing cause you are usually posted by now.

Shawnee. I saw you but sooo far away. Love this cool weather.

Ginny, what grind are you doing today. With the horses?

I'll be back later too. Little one waking up here. She wants to go see her little brother. Julie

Hi Magnificient ONes!

WOW, HAPPY SILVER WEDDING LINDA AND GERARD! CONGRATULATIONS! 25 YEARS is certainly a Milestone to mark!

Wishing YOU guys a Happy Anniversay and special Celebrations.! Tell us all about it........well, maybe you could keep a little bit to yourselves!

Ginny and Loretta, as you asked.....We had a wonderful evening. The Limo arrived at 7p.m. DH and I were ready....like a dream to us! The driver offered us wine or champagne along the way. We waited for DD and her DH, she was surprised again! They opened the Champagne. I had half a glass.

After a short drive around, we arrived at the Golf Club. We had a wonderful dinner. I chose large scallops, off the grill with lemon, garlic butter, and mixed grilled vegetables, a large mixed greens salad with goat cheese was my starter, it had dried cranberries, raisins and walnuts with maple balsamic vinegar, think it was over the top in sweet carbs, so picked some out. DH had chosen tamarind jumbo shrimp for his starter and gave me two of those, delicious. I had a taste of his praline cheesecake after the meal. I had decaf coffee, as they sipped on their liquors. I had a couple of glasses of white wine with my meal, that was it. Felt okay this moring, so dont think I over did anything.

CONGRATS JULIE ON BEING A NEW GRANDMA!

Jacki, glad to have another Culinary Person on the BB, I need all the help I can get. I love having some legal treats available but not quick on the uptake to bake them. The tweaked Impossible Coconut Pie, is my FAV, as you throw all ingredients in the same bowl, mix and bake for 1 hour. Got Suzy name but not the nature. I am willing to learn though! LOL! I can see why Shawnee is your friend.

I gotta work tomorrow at the office, so I'll be MIA all day!

Waving to ya All!

This is my 5th grandbaby and wish I was having 5 more but this will be it!!! LOL

Your limo and dinner sound so wonderful...just like a fairy book eveing. Was your DD surprised?

I'm with Susan on making recipes as simple as possible.

I put pics up of Logan on the Golden Years board. Julie

Hi y'all

WOW, lotza happenings on the ol' BB today

Congrats, Linda and Gerard, on the BIG 25th! SUPER! Montana, I jumped into the Carb Confusion on Jacki's muffin post...
Enjoy your night out

Julie, Congrats on that new GrandBaby, and hope Mom is recooping nicely, bless her heart. Nice Pic!

It was HOT here this afternoon, saw an unexpected HI of 87..
Ginny, there's rain and lightning "around" us, but none here yet.......oh, for even a little rain... Keep rooting for us Parched Souls out West
That Sale jaunt took a lot of effort, legs were tired. Skipped Curves today, went gambling instead, BAD us..LOL Bob and DGBrat made $$$$$ ! I came home in the hole about $25, but had a great time.
Tomorrow, back to Curves in the afternoon, after a good ol' get-together lunch with Jacki

ZIP, sure hope all systems are "GO" for you and Bob...

Jacki, I don't use too much ground walnuts as a flour ingredient (almonds instead)..but love them chopped and added to muffin and brownie batters. Can't believe how hot it got today, after being promised lower temps...SHOOT the WeatherGuys! I'm anxious to try your new recipe...but too hot for the oven! Eventually we can tinker with it, and make it in the Nuker! Lookin' forward to our lunch chat.

Tink, hope you are not too exhausted, and DGD is improving.

Susan, you Cinderella, you What an ENCHANTED evening, you lucky lady. Thanks for sharing the wonderful details with us. Your DSIL sure knows how to treat his MIL, as well as his wife

Loretta, LOL..if Jacki couldn't get Flaxseed, she'd starve ...its the backbone of so many of her recipes.
Househunting with DGBrat is fun, and she's very sensible, looking at affordable properties. She's seen too many people with mortgages that were unrealistic for their incomes; likes to watch her $avings grow, not her debt. She has refinished a ton of old furniture, a lot of it was Bob's Mom's. Nice to see the old stuff get a new lease on life.

Hopefully, I will have Son and various GBrats here this weekend....looking forward to that.

Later

Shawnee

Hi again, and thank you for all the anniversary wishes. We had a nice day and dinner.

OK where the hell is our Roger?? Hopefully they got an early start on that Conn. and Mass. Turnpike. Either that or he's still packing.

Shawnee, Damn I messed up because I was too lazy to go look at my stuff in the pantry and used my book. Was in a rush but learned a good lesson. " The Hurrier I go, the Behinder I get."

Oh house hunting is such fun!! I love looking. Grandbrat sure has a good head on her shoulders. She must take after you. I'm sure she will do just fine.

Julie, those pictures of Logan are fantastic!! What a handsome little one and what bright eyes. You look fantastic too inspite of being exhausted.

Susan, that Limo trip and dinner must have been so special. I love limos but unfortunately get very car sick so I don't do them. Oh seafood, yummm. My favorites are Alaskan King crab legs, scallops, shrimp, lobster and Little Neck Clams.

Jackie, Flax is wonderful!! I make blueberrie and cranberry flax meal muffins and discovered that if you leave out the sweetener, add in some cheese and garlic, it makes a wonderful "bread".

Loretta, how the heck many tomato plants do you have? You will be canning for the next month by the sound of it. Do you freeze any cooked toms too?

Ginny, glad everything is calm there but still worried about HT and that soon to be ex hubby. Let us know how she is doing.
Hope you have a quite night at work.

I'm off to lurk too and read a few on line papers.

Now you know my secret!! My muffin recipes are usually interchangeable...sweet or for bread.
