Hi everyone,

Roger, are you going to the play tonight? It's going to be quite lovely in this area so you should be good to go. Don't forget the fly paper.

Julie, any luck on finding a chair yet? Gosh girl, break out that nuker muffin tin and let us know how they come out.

Ginny, you must be working really hard girl. Check in when you can.

Loretta, Isn't that pizza great? I must think about making it sometime this week. Sometimes I just put oil, garlic and leave off the tomato sauce. I love a good white pizza.

Susan, please check in. We are all worried about Oliver.

Shawnee, I hesitate to order much on line too and am still looking in local shops. The Kitchen Collection stores in NYS are about 100 miles from here. Good luck on finding some sexy eye glass frames..

I'm off to work for a few hrs and will check in later.
Linda

Hi Magnificient ONes!

So sorry I missed posting. It has been busy agin!
Oliver has been a mystery. Last week he had loose stools, so DD suggested I give him some rice with his cooked chicken which I did. He only ate a tiny bit and hence became constipated. Last night he was in terrible pain, he could not settle and was crying. I gave him some vegetable oil and some sugar water to soften his stool, with no result. Then I inserted a tiny pieces of a glycerine suppository that did the trick, got some hard stool out. He was very uncomfortable all night and slept with us. He was jumping and moving all night with the gas pains. DH and I were very tired this morning.

Oliver seems a bit better no crying and sleeping at the moment. Hoping to get more going through him today! Whew, what a worrisome time!

Wishing everyone well, just wanted to post so ya know whats happening with me! All is fine! Thank YOU for caring!

Susan, put a little pumpkin in his rice and chicken. That is what our Vet said to do and it works.

I started the Tuesday thread this morning but not sure if Linda already had hers up or Linda didn't see mine. Oh well, go back and copy it in here.

Tuesday again
Hi everyone,

Wanted to get this up before I left for the day. Going to doc to get my toe taken care of. Sure hope it doesn't hurt too bad!! I'm a big baby!!

Got a note from Ginny and here's what she had to say,
[quote]
Got family coming over shortly and don't know if I'll
make it to the board today or not.....if you don't
mind, tell everyone I'm fine just burning a two ended
candle at 3 ends lOL

Have lots of errands to run today. Going to go back to Office Depot and Staples to look at the puter chairs again. Having lunch with a friend. I definately have to make an appt. for Bo to get groomed. Poor fluff is dying in this heat. Suppose to be 92-95 here today. I just can't believe this weather. Predicted to return to 70's again sometime soon. Need to get to Cash and Carry for more cheese and cream cheese, DaVinci's syrups etc. Will check back later....Julie

Now it's after the doc appt. he just shaved my toe off and told me to keep soaking it or after my bath, which I take showers, and to use a pumice stone on it regularly. WE'll see! Not convinced this will do the trick or not. I'm skeptical. My leg cramps he insists I do stretching even though thats why I gave up yoga. With every stretch, I would get a cramp. He told me to stretch slowly at first AND to walk. Guess, I best get back to my walking every day! Just got so burnt out and tired of doing the same ole thing. Came away from that appt. very discouraged. I just wanted him to take it off. Should've been insistant but I cracked and let be talked into trying this. My little toe kind of curls under and the corn is almost underneath and to the side of it. Hard place to keep a corn from forming he said. He said to call him if this doesn't work. So will give it some time!! Then he said I might have to get some orthotic to keep that toe from curling under so much. Boo hoo. #$^#$%@ I'm so unhappy!! Ok enough about me. I'll be back later when I've gotten this out of my system. Julie

HI to all

Susan I am worried about Oliver. Will you take him to the vet soon? He sure is having his share of problems and I know that you feel everyone of them.

Julie too bad about the "no instant" solution to the corn. I think he is right though about the soaking and the pumice stone. I would add to that rub something like "Bag Balm" aslo on the corn to soften it up. IT will work. I had something similar on the bottom of my foot but it ended up being a piece of wood that had impeded itself. It came out eventually after that treatment. You had to be faithful to it. Soak that foot for about 10 to 15 min maybe 2x a day, rub the ointment on to soften it up. You sure are having HOT weather there.

Linda I could not believe how good that pizza was becasue the first time I made it I used a 9x13 pan. This was much more Pizza like, the crust tasted like the real thing. I have enough left over for 4 more meals.

A good shopping day. I have a new muffin top pan, a new micro wave/oven muffin flexible pan, a new shot glass measurer that measures tsp, tbs ounces. A very nifty gadget. Plus all of that and it was senior discount day, 10% off of all items. In my glory here but the nuker muffin pan is oblong and I'm not sure it will turn as it should when cooking. Hope I get a chance to test both of them tomorrow. My friend and I had a great time just taking our time and shopping. She found a nifty flower "cart" that looks like a little buggy. We had lunch at McD because I wanted to try out their new salads. We had the Cobb Salad but I think I prefer Wendys salads over theirs.

Shawnee I think I have something wrong with my zucchini. I have had lots of blossoms but no zucchini do I see growing except for 1 little follow. Is that blossom rot? I see where they have fallen off and I don't see any zucchini there. My cukes are growing nicely in a tomato cage. Good Idea from DH. They are tasting great.

Zip what are you doing today? Getting ready to leave soon?

Ginnn take it easy there burning that candle in all directions and then some. We got lots of rain, 1.8 inches yesterday. Strormed some here but not too badly.

Later, Loretta

My day has gone from bad to worse.....MSN wasn't working right so couldn't send or recieve any email all day. Not a big problem but then my 7 month 36 in. TV died!! It's so heavy and you have to take it out to get fixed. Luckily, it's still under warranty. DH has friend to help him. Oh yeah, it's 93 here!!!

Loretta, how did you fix the pizza this time that you liked it better??? Thanks for the tip on bag balm. Will get some. Where? Off to watch the Mariner's, hope they are having better luck. Julie

Hi again,

Susan, are you going to take Oliver to the vet? I would be worried sick. Poor little guy. It's so difficult to know what's wrong with them because they can't tell you.

Loretta, Wow you got a nucker muffin tin and other great stuff. How nice to have a 10% discount too.

LOL McD's salads aren't too good at all. I like Burger King's better. Haven't tried Wendy's though. Maybe some day.

Julie, when I posted all I saw was yesterday's started by Roger. It was 7:30 am your time. Sorry if I missed it.

Good Lord!! That TV shouldn't have gone this soon. I would be furious! Oy, that's HOT!! I would invest in a 100 dollar air conditioner at Wally World just to keep around in case it gets like this next summer too.

Thanks for letting us know about Ginny. Gee that girl needs to slow down.

Where is our Roger? He must be enjoying the outdoor theater.

Shawnee, you must be roasting in that heat. Hope you and pup are laying low and just relaxing.

Ya know Linda, I don't think there is a air conditioner or fan left in the pacific northwest. I have a few fans and just keep the doors and windows closed until it starts to cool in the evening. I was up at 5:45 this morning but I may have been half asleep when I posted. No problem!!

Shawnee, where are you? I know they said you were at lest 98 earlier.

Susan, I totally agree with everyone about taking Oliver to the Vet. Something more than dehydration seems to be going on. They are too precious to not find out.

Loretta, still waiting to find out what you did different to the pizza.

Hi to zip and Pam. Hopefully Ginny will be back tomorrow. Guess I owe all of you an apology for being so grumpy today. I very seldom get that way but it hit all at once today. Guess Dr. aren't miracle workers huh? I'm feeling much better tonight. Maybe the heat affected my brain!! LOL Julie

Hi Y'all

Weatherwize, today was no fun. We saw the Century mark hit at 4 PM.........heck, anything over 85 is too hot for Pup andI anyway, we're wimps when it comes to heat.
We watered our plants early, and sprayed some moss killer on the driveway.

Made a LC version of Apple Crisp in the Nuker. Hehee, we did get an oven element replacement, and the Salesperson thought we were nuts to need one now! LOL

Susan, we are all very concerned about Oliver, he's having too many problems for Home-doctoring to be effective long term. I cannot stress enough how much I feel he should be examined, even if he becomes perky again....

Loretta, so glad you got out and enjoyed such a fun and "profitable'' day! I'm soooo envious, you have RAIN and a flex pan! Life is GOOD at your house
Not real sure how those Zuke blossums work, but something about the male-female flowers...like only the female blooms will make a baby...or only the pollenized ones. ...
I am growing bush varieties of both cukes and zucchini, so the have room to grow on the deck in large pots.

Julie, that Bag Balm is good stuff. I go barefoot 6 months of the year, and it really helps my battle-scarred soles/feet. Try Walmart or a drugstore, or a store like Cenex.

Montana, do y'all have Jack in the Box restaurants? They have three kinds of to-go salads that are fantastic, and large enough for 2 people. Yes, Pup an I are taking like easy. She likes to have her belly washed with a cool wet cloth....hey, so do I

Ginny, hope to see ya back here soon. Enjoy your visit.
Are you still sticking to your exercize plan? Tomorrow is Curves for me, I do it 3 x weekly.

Hi to ZIP and Pam.
