Popping in for a minute too. Moms will be here in about an hour so it's busy, busy, busy.
We are going to get some thunderstorms so I don't know when I'll be back on line.

Hi to all

Wedding was fine but eating was very late. At about 8:30 or so. It was already about dark. We had eaten our hamburgers before we went. I did find some veggies, dip and ham with cheese to eat. We did not really know any else there at the reception except the mother & father of the bride and they were busy. We left early before they got around to the cake.

Linda I have been searching for microwave muffins pans and no luck. I can find a lot of glassware for microwave but no muffin pans. Thanks for the web cam shot. That sure looks quite SMOKY to me.

Julie I have some yellowing leaves on the tom plants but I think it is not disease but just spent leaves. The toms are beautiful and ripening daily. I canned 6 quarts yesterday and sure I will get another 6 or more from them. We didn't even have one to eat yesterday because I canned them all.

Shawnee bummer on the oven element burning out. I wish something would burn out on ours so I could replace our relic. It must be 20 or so years old. Good thinking on the baking soda and throwing the breaker off. Not sure what I would have done.

Hi to the rest of youall
Will check in later
Loretta

Hi Y'all

Nice quiet Sunday, hope it stays this way Hot, and gonna get hotter for the next several days.

My Son left for Anchorage on Friday night, fishing on the Kanai and Russian Rivers. He was so looking forward to his vacation, and said the fact that it was 65° and raining there was an added bonus to escape the WA heat.

Montana, these fires are so unpredicatble and scarey. Our biggest one is near the Canadian border also.
Have an enjoyable time with your Moms.

LOL, Loretta...maybe you can beg a fresh Tom from a neighbor, since you've canned every last ripe one available
I checked (up close and personal) the Toms and Zucchinis...some BUG is having way too much fun at my expense! I found tiny Pepper-sprinkle-like bug POOP on them

I used Schultz Garden Safe spray:
Garden Safe™ Insect Sprays are effective, organic contact insecticides made from a combination of pyrethrins and canola oil. These insect sprays are effective knock down killers for many garden pests like aphids, whiteflies, mealybugs, mites and more. Yet, they quickly break down with exposure to sun. They can also be used on edibles up to the day of harvest. Garden Safe™ Insect Sprays are available in 24 oz. trigger spray bottles.

Hopefully, the phone won't ring, no one will drop by, and Pup and I can be lazy the rest of the day. We want a selfish afternoon.

To all, have a Content day.

Shawnee

EDITED: Here's the NEW kinda bakeware...oven, Nuker, and freezer safe!

Thanks for that muffin kitchen ware site Shawnee. Those pans look like another something I might need. Still debating on buying the Muffin top pans. My friend and I are going on Tuesday to an outlet mall and I will look there at their Kitchen store, it might even be a Kitchen Collection outlet. Hate paying that shipping.

Hey gang,

Being lazy and lounging around today. Really should have mowed, but just didn't feel like walking up to the shed and getting the mower going. This week will be a bit busier with having to take care of a friend's plants.

Hey to everyone, and hope y'all are having a good Sunday!

Off to be lazy....

Hello Magnificient ONes!

Just getting here, sorry I missed yesterday. Oliver was sick!
It started on Friday night, we got back from the Park and he was sleeping as usual but when he got up about 5 hours later, he could hardly walk and seemed dehydrated. I offerred him lots of water and put some electrolyte solution in it. He worried me I stayed by his side till 2:30a.m. then we went to bed. He was still short on energy on Saturday morning. I continued with the electrolyte solution and then he ate some chicken, he was still walking a bit funny. Mid afteroon he picked up but was still not himself. Whew what a worry, He is back to himself now, walking okay, eating and wanting to play. Yikes, dont know what happened to him. Over exhaustion at the Park or what?

The other thing that worried me was that DDs dog had been in a fight with a wild racoon the day before and it sprayed her with this sticky stuff. DD couldnt get it off the dog. No skin was broken but her dog drools. She was drooling lots on Friday and Oliver ofcourse was licking some of it. I got to thinking overtime, that his immune system was fighting Rabies and that is why he couldnt walk. He has had his shots one last year, and one this March, so I hope his immune system will recognise Rabies.

Shawnee, Ginny, sure know how you guys felt recently with your furbabies!

Anyhoo, I'm back from, "Living Hell" and the world is a sweeter place cuz Oliver is happy again! I know, too much already!

Hoping Everyone had a Great Weekend!

Hi again everyone,

Where is Roger today? Hopefully he is enjoying himself.

Loretta, Don't you just hate going to functions where you don't know anyone? Good thing you ate before you left home. I can't bring myself to go to those things anymore.

LOL My Dacor Range is 17 years old and one burner is not getting very hot. I hate the thought of replacing it though. It's a drop in and they are hard to find and soooo expensive. I really don't want to cut the corian countertops to fit a different kind in.

Shawnee, Bless your heart!! How do you find these things? I did a search for microwave cookware and didn't see that one.
I did find one on E Bay but I refuse to use pay pal.

Hope you and pup got to enjoy a nice day in the yard.

My gosh, your son is going to have a Wonderful time on that fishing trip. How I envy him.

How far are those fires from you?

Ginny, You better be lazy Hell, you deserve it.

Susan, OMG I'm sorry Oliver was sick. I would really call the Vet ASAP and ask about that Racoon. Those furbabies may need a booster.

Gotta go and let dh have a turn on here.

Hi again

Julie, any luck finding that perfect chair?

Montana, we are a couple hundred miles from any of the huge fires; Idaho and Montana are both really getting hit hard
I want one of those cool flexible muffin things "just because". LOL

Oh, Susan...Poor lil Oliver...geez, the symptoms sounded like heat exhaustion/ stroke (which can be very dangerous)...but add in that coon...its scarey! I know you will watch him closely; a Vet check is a good idea. You poor Mom, our babies can worry us so. Blessings to both of you.

Anyhoo, here's some info on it....and all of us with Furbabies need to be aware of it.
http://www.loyalsockanimal.com/heatstroke.htm

Pup would overdo it playing in the heat, so I have her walk in her lil pool. If she's panting, I make a "saddle blanket" for her with a wet hand towel.

Goddess, glad ya had a good LAZY day, you deserve and need one now and then Pup and I had some morning outside time.....then we warmed up to 93, so in we came.

ZIP, wherever you are, hope you are enjoying your "vacation at home" time.
