Sunny Sunday July 20th

Good Morning Magnificient Maintainers!

Another wonderful day up here. The garden is looking so colourful, may try to get the garden centre this week for some more perennials.

Thank YOU all for your most valued input. To answer your questions yes, I've had several U/S and two needle biopsies, these leave no scars. I have a benign cyst and a fibroadenoma which is also benign, but the micro-calcifications they have no biopsy of as they could not reach it with the needle. The open biopsy which will take a piece of tissue will leave a puckered scar and may possibly mask further Ca on a mammogram, that is what the nurse said. Anyhow, I will check this all out this week with my colleagues at work, some are physicians, so I'll resolve my dilemma one way or another.

I am quite happy with the first teams diagnosis but it was a bit confussing being told to come back in two days for another needle biopsy then when they couldnt reach it, just forget about it and be followed with yearly mammograms. A mixed message.

The second guy thinks I should at least know what that tissue has in it. If benign he said at least you will know, if not, take action now while still early. The scarring is a body image thing and the possible masking worry. Also the Surgery risks.....I'll have to carefully weigh the pros and cons. I have 4-5 weeks, no date yet!

Thanks again!

Gotta check out those Recipes from Shawnee

Back Later, I hope!

Hi to all

Susan I don't think you will have any peace of mind until you know for sure what kind of tissue that is in there. Just go for it and get it taken care of. The medical people can get a person confused and each one of them also has a different opinion. I hate that when you have 2 doctors and they can't even agree.

Zip I understand you problem now with the DSL line. I sure don't know that many city dwellers. We cannot even get cable tv here because of not enough customers on our road. So most of the rural areas use satellite dishes. We have a small one but they are not ready yet for internet communication in our area. That might be cheaper than the $60 a month that I pay now.

Shawnee that recipe for the cream cheese nut balls looks great. Wondering what to substitute for the chocolate???. I am getting too many favorite things to eat and might have to forego the meat and veggies soon. Be careful on that ladder. Had to pick some of those toms today before they get overripe. But I need a few more before I start to can. Sure am appreciating my
quiet Sunday. I do like our aloneness and welcome it back with open arms. Those kids were messy, smokers, worm containers. Sort of wasteful too. I found a bag of unopened candy and beef jerky in the trash can. Not that I am a snooper but I was just trying to put the trash in a bag since there was none in the outside garbage can. complain, complain

Linda hope you and Gerard are enjoying the dinner with the moms. I forgot to mention that I saw a granite muffin top pan while out antiquing and they wanted $75 for it. It sure looked like a muffin top pan. I thought that was a new idea. I have looked and looked for frozen cranberries without success. Next fall I am going to stock up on them. I prefer them to the blueberries. The only cranberries I found were the dried ones and they have lots of sugar.

Ginny gal hope you are out playing with the orkids and ponies today. I guess the pup is healing up nicely by now. Your finished kitchen project will be such a joy for you. You can start the baking soon.

Hey Pam hope you are not busy with the tuxes but out enjoying that Lake Tahoe summer time. Do you see the neurologist soon? I am a pest.

I am so happy to be back inside of this pc. and talking to you all.

Julie when does that company arrive? What will you feed them? Hope you stay stress free with it all. I am thankful that I felt relaxed and stress free for the big dinner we had. I even got out the best china and put some candles on the table and enjoyed doing it. The kids seemed to enjoy themselves too. Just enjoy the present.

Later, Loretta

I am just too gabby today.

Hi gang,
Just a quick peek and run through till later. Moms just left and now I'm going to hop in the shower and put my "snuggies" on.

Loretta, I'm with ya! I enjoy my peace and quiet more and more every year.
Put your foot down next time they visit and say "NO Smoking" in the house and tell them to clean up their own mess. GRRRR I don't let anyone in the house till they take off their shoes and am not afraid to tell them where the garbage can is.

Susan, I guess you do have to weigh the pros and cons and reach a decision that YOU will be comfortable with. Best of luck.

Roger, what time do you leave tomorrow? Wishing you the best vacation ever. You really deserve it. How's that old computer work coming along? Will you take it with you?

Shawnee, Tomorrow I'm off to the second hand shops with hopes of finding some nuker muffin pans.
Is it cooling off much yet? Talked to relatives in Montana today and boy is it hot there. They don't expect relief till Thursday.

Ginny, enjoy the rest of your weekend.
How's pup doing?

Julie, I hope you don't wear yourself out with that company. Let them do some work.

Pam, where are you girl?

more later

Linda they did not really smoke in the house but out on the porch where I made my nest. It was out there that the dirty ash trays were and some of the guests just used the carport floor to put out their butts.

Shawnee I did give that peanut butter a thought. Have you made them yet? They sure sound great.

I was really good with the company here and birthday cake and home made peach cobbler. I did not eat ANY of it. I just said that I don't eat cake anymore and that was it.

Roger don't you dare leave with out a good bye kiss.

No,No,No....We're leaving on the 28th of July...NEXT Monday.
This week we will begin having noithing but fun all week (and some important banking!)

Today we're both pooped...pulled beds apart and DEEP cleaned the bedroom. walked in the sun bareback and got energy drained out (it ALWAYS happens after some sun). No burns for me though!

Night all...sounds like a good cooking show on NBC, several episodes involved with setting up a new French restaurant...on at 10 PM EDT.
