SHIIIIIIT!
Lost a long post by hitting SUBMIT after my USP had cut me off (I get about 5 minutes to type and WHAM, unless I remember to shrink the post and re-sign on). Anyhoo, Vicious dysentary yesterday (like 20 times). Only thing I ate different from Bob was Friday's nightime snack of a large DOLE salad and sliced tomato. I think salmonella from the DOLE...rest in garbage! It's passed now and I dropped 5 pounds (HOO HAH!) Linda, I hope Gerard is fine after the lithotripsy. I think it's usually a walk in the woods and a warm bath! They throw in a lap dance for an extra $6500! BTW, My surgeon billed $8500, and the hospital another $4500 (for OR and half day recovery). OY, you can't have stuff like THAT done on a pay-as-you-go basis!) Speedo picture promised after 8 more pounds....soon. I'm being religious writing down and tallying EVERYTHING I eat. We're doing dinner and a show called SLAP AND TICKLE. It's supposed to be a sex romp (as it sounds). FINALLY finished neighbor's computer. It's lightning fast and better than new. I spent 8 hours trying to make the modem work before FINALLY determining it will NEVER work on the USA phone lines. Only info site on this particular model was in Russian and the guy she bought it from brought it came from China. I gave her my modem (she OWES me.) I also told her if she adds lots of itshay downloads to it and tries to pull them back out she might just as well thow it out the 6th floor window- I won't touch it again. (She adds such total CRAP programs, you woundn't believe.) She also gave me back my old tank that she'd bought a couple years ago for $150. I have big new drive and a new OS for it and might spiff it up for my sister or keep for emergencies....heck, it might go to New England with us! Have a nice weekend everybody. Roger

Good Morning All!
A gorgeous Sunny day up here already! Sorry, I missed yesterday. Had the appointment with the Doc at the Breast Ca Clinic, he states his team feel the micro-calcifications are benign and to just wait and see, followed by mammogram annually. The second opinion Dr, that I saw two weeks ago recommends an open biopsy. They could not reach it before by needle biopsy, too close to a blood vessel. They are booking me in for surgery in another 4-5 weeks. The nurse stated all the risks etc.....also stating that I will have a scar at the site, that will always show up on mammograms and could mask future mammograms. This part bothered me. Yikes, they are willing to do the surgery, but yet want me to accept their diagnosis. They wanted to biopsy so fast in December, then when they couldn't reach it, said okay just wait 6 months and well see, which I did in May will a follow up mammogram. The second Doc from outside said they did not do magnified views on the second follow up mammogram, so how can they be following me. Here we go agin! Dilemma! I am concerned about the scarring, not cosmetically, only a bit, more concerned about masking further cancers. If I have the Surgery, I should know from the pathology report. I dont know at the moment what to do........still thinking about it. All opinions and points of view welcome! This is why I didnt post yesterday! Still Confused!Hopin to be back later, ![]() |

Hi to this Magnificent Group of Maintainers.
I am enjoying some free time this morning. The kids went to gamble on the boat with the other local DSD. They will be leaving early tomorrow morning and have already started to pack up. I have gotten use to their company now. They took me out for dinner yesterday (DH having stomach problems). The Prime Rib was just delicious and I made 2 trips to the salad bar. For some reason I like eating my salad last. Susan that surely sounds like another dilemma. What to do? Too bad you cannot speak with someone who has had a similar experience. Have they not done ultrasound on your breat? They saw a lump on my mammogram and did an ultrasound. It was a cyst. The follow up mammogram, 6 months later showed that it was smaller and we quit then, except for a routine one annually. Is there a family hx of breast cancer for you? THey have talked so badly about the hormones masking breast cancers now also. Then one day I was reading an article about certain foods causing breast cancer. or was that if you eat certain foods you can prevent breast cancer. Zip that neighbor of yours sure is lucky to have you close at hand for the pc problems. Wish you would invest in a decent ISP. It will be well worth it for you. Get cable or digital or something faster and more dependable. It would be worth it. Will be waiting for speedo picture. Linda glad that Gerard is done with the stone episode of his life for a while. Has he been drinking enough water now? I really don't know how I fixed my task bar problem if you want to know. I clicked right on some properties and changed a setting. But what confused me is how it got lost. One day I let DSD surf and she is used to a web tv so she might have been doing some odd clicking too. The flaxseed muffins are great but my blueberries sank to the bottoms. Are you using fresh or frozen ones. They are small but I am afraid to eat more than one at a time. Ginny I am glad to hear that they straightened out that misunderstanding about that email. I am beginning to think that men are worse at this gossip thing than women. You should here the one DSSIL talk about the other guy. Although I am in agreement with him. Our one visitor was just plain rude and was always belittleing his mate, the DSD. Shawnee you are going to worry me. Are you canning tomatoes already? Soon for me. Those toms are ripening up nicely now. I'll do pictures when things quiet down here. Julie only 3 days of company. How nice. That would be about right. This morning I heard about another neighbor here that is going to have company for 2 weeks. I felt lucky after hearing that. Eating habits does get to be a problem. I like to eat more or less at scheduled times. Not always possible with company. We too eat a late breakfast and just snack on fruit for lunch. I read the BILs obits. He certainly was a very caring and generous person and a great contribution to society. He will be remembered by many in a very positive light. Later, Loretta |

Hi Y'all
......still hot here, and more to follow. Been doing lots of piddly home maint. crap, more of that to follow also . ( Great workout cleaning gutters, etc ) Have been taking afternoons off ( in the heat of the day) to go piddlin' in town, and to Curves.Montana, I found 2 Nuker muffin pans, and 2 cake bundt pans at my fav used place...LOL..like new, all for $8...after giving them a bleach bath, I'm ready to BAKE! I haven't seen any at the stores. Glad for both you and Gerard that his stone thing is over ![]() Loretta, bless your patient heart. That dinner out sounds fun. I like my company to stay for hours, not days. I'm really getting selfish in my Golden years....and want to run my schedule my own way. Any fish caught? No canning, in fact we are only getting a few ripe toms at a time. Plus, I'm too lazy to can. Any excess produce is given away. Goddess, so sorry you have been loaded with stress that some ^!$%)%!*#! caused. Some people thrive on causing hate and discontent. Hopefully you can unwind over the weekend, basking in the warmth and love of your lil Family. ![]() ZIP...you sure have been having a crappy month, physically...hope that all turns around for ya soon, and you are in prime shape to enjoy your vacation. Do you do some practice driving before hitting the BIG roads? Susan, poor gal,...tough decisions for you. Only YOU can come to the right one for yourself. For me personally, I'm so impatient, and want answers immediately........and let the future take care of itself. What lies ahead is such an unknown...so I just want to take care of the here and now.. Best wishes on this. Julie, you were lucky to have such a good person (your BIL) in your life; the world could use more folks like him. Have a content day, y'all |

Susan,
I feel very strongly you should (and indeed should HAVE) gone with that first opinion on the micreocalcifications. I think the needle biopsy was unnecessary and now it turns out, couterproductive. Just make sure that first team knows there's a needle scar there (how studid of the second team to make it) and what to watch for. Surgery, even a deep biopsy, could leave you scarred, or dead from either a reaction to the anaesthesia or more likely, from one of those mysterious and often deadly infections that live only in hospitals. Obviously you know where my vote stands![ ]Loretta, We have NO cable unfortunately...only a microwave feed, hence no puter. Verizon DSL here is a nightmare and the landlord's T1 is ok but $60 a month. I'll stick with my $9.95 til we can get a $29.95 cable connection...we're battling in court NOW to get rid of the landlord's friggen miserable microwave connection via RCN (we lose TV pictures every time it rains! |

YUMMY
http://www.lamsonadventures.com/recipes/truffle.htm To cut a few carbs, do not use the Cream; instead use 2 TBLS of SF DaVinci ( like Dulce de Leche or Raspberry or French Vanilla or B-52 or Kahuli Caffe`, or Bravarian Choc..or Caramel....) ...if ya use the DaVinci, you could cut back on the Splenda a smidgeon too. LOL...Yesterday, I went to a Cash and Carry place, got 10 LARGE bottles of SF syrups...priced at $2.99 to 3.49 ea. Today's experiment was Yeast Muffins in the Nuker...the texture is different, but the yeast fragrance is the same! ![]() Is anyone else experimenting with recipes? I'm making this for Dinner, but in a pot instead of the oven http://www.low-carb-friends.com/bbs/...threadid=67612 ....plus Marinated raw veggies.,,,homegrown Basil in them. Hope y'all are having a good day. It hit 93° for us. Shawnee |

Good evening gang,
Roger, Congrats on the loss of 5 but what a hell of a way to do it. I think you have had more than your share of healt probmems, so stop it! You need to be in tip top shape for your much needed vacation. Good lord!! You be careful on that Conn. turnpike. What time are you leaving? Hopefully between rush hours. You are a very nice neighbor to that woman. It's so nice to see that. SHawnee, you be careful on the ladder girl. At least you are getting the afternoons off to enjoy Curves and shop. Monday is 1/2 price at our local Salvation Army thrift store. Guess I'll head there and see if I can find a great bargin like you did. You made out great! Loretta, You got used to that company? You are so much better than I. Yes, some men are bigger gossips than women. How sad that your company had to do that. DH is drinking water really well now. Guess that will teach him, eh? I have used both fresh and frozen berries in mine and didn't have a problem with them sinking to the bottom Next week I'll try them with frozen cranberries.Susan, I' m curious too. Did you have an ultrasound? For me it would be in and out and get it done and over with. I had a friend or two die of breast cancer that wasn't dx. till far too late. Julie, Your BIL sounds like he would have been a pleasure to know. Hopefully the warm memories will comfort his family. What's with all of you and company? LOL I guess people just "know" that we are hermits and leave us alone. Ginny, hope you are getting some much needed R & R this weekend. Enjoy your time off. Did the usual molly stuff today and got my hair cut. Yikes!! it's short! back later. |

Hey gang!
Better late than never, right? Mowed today, sheesh, was it thick and tall. Didn't do it last weekend, so I felt like I could almost bale the stuff. Dinner at Ryans...ahhhhh full belly. Zip, would you please quit with the stomache stuff already? We want you in top form for your speedo adventure! Your neighbor is very lucky to have her own tech support! Now to keep her off the free downloads loaded with spyware! Loretta, glad you enjoyed your company, and know you'll be glad to have the house back to normal even if for a short time. Linda, glad everything went well with Gerard! Now hopefully you can both relax a bit and get ready for vacation. Shawnee, yes be careful on that ladder! I know, it's not the fear of heights or falling, it's the abrupt stop at the end that'll get ya, so don't make us worry! I'm sure your 'supervisor' is keeping close track of you. Susan, don't know what to tell you about whether to do the biopsy or wait. Never had to deal with that, so only HUGS from me. Go with your gut on it, the gut is seldom wrong. Julie, enjoy your company and relax! Don't worry about house stuff, just have fun! Hows the future momma doing? Pam, check in please...we will start worrying soon! Off to lurk. Y'all have a great evening!

Boy am I late today. The house is spic and span, groceries bought and some prep work done for the company. Not sure when I'll get back here so if you don't see me, you'll know I got tired up. Think I can get on after everyones gone to bed.
Roger, will you ever be well. Sure sounds like it was the Dole alright. Are you going to report it? Glad it is over, nothing worse than sitting on the pot all day. Can you answer something for me? What key do I accidently hit to make all the words disappear when I'm typing a post? Boy is that frustrating!!! Susan, I have had a biopsy and even the Dr.'s can't see the scar. No one told me about a scar befuddling a mammogram. Maybe cause your's will be deep. Yes, it will only be you who can make that decision but they wanted me to wait too and I said, are you kidding?? Wait and worry for 6 months!!!! I would get it done and get it over with. IMHO Shawnee, you're up on a ladder doing what?????? Are you crazy??? I finally have color on my toms but it's still a long way off. My cherry plants have so many toms coming, I can hardly wait. yummmmmm Ginny, baby is still bundled up in mommy's tummy. Didn't talk to her today. Hate to bug...nothing like calling every day and saying, haven't you had that little one yet. Sure bugged my DD when I did that soooo I did learn something along the way. Loretta, mix a little of the dry flax with the blueberries before you add them to the wet stuff. That should help. What do you mean ONLY 3 days of company!!!???? Thats 3 days too long!!! Linda has it right and I agree. Linda, you and me kiddo. No company is just right. Where's Pam? See ya when I can. Maybe midnight tomorrow. Julie
