Hey gang,

Well, I thought I'd mow this morning, but the grass is still a bit wet, so that idea was cancelled. Hot and humid here for us these last few days making it so nice to jump in the shower to de-sweat after work. This weekend, some friends may stop by to visit us and see the greenhouse, and I'm going to try to get together with Horsetrainer too. Somewhere in there, mowing will occur before I start losing the furkids in the yard LOL

Julie, glad you're back safely and had such a good trip considering the circumstances. When families get scattered, it seems like weddings and funerals are about the only way everyone gets in the same vicinity. Hope that baby is born soon and momma gets some relief!

Shawnee, mold is my main trigger too for allergies--that and hay dust. Go figure. Those non-plant yard chores have to be done, but doesn't feel as good as playing in the dirt. Any cool down for y'all in sight?

Linda, with so much time going toward vacation planning, have y'all still been looking for potential relocation sites?

Loretta, so did you get a ride on that motorcycle? I think they are fun, but you sure have to be extra careful of everyone around you. Rather a vulnerable position with no protection. A couple friends of mine have motorcycles, one is a Harley owner (and extremely proud of his bike) and I'm looking forward to a ride on that one!

Zip, so when do you leave for your vacation? Have you found out if they have a 'puter yet? We'd hate to lose touch with you for that whole time...

Susan, so do you have to bid on teaching these different classes or are they assigned to you by the office?

Pam, hope all is well with y'all. Check in when you have time please!

Got a little time to lurk, then get moving. Everyone have a great day!

A quick run through this morning. Having lunch with a few of the Goldies today. Still trying to get caught up on things around here. Being gone a few days can wreck havoc with a schedule.

Susan, Bo was ecstatic to see us but I think WE were more excited to see him. Boy you can sure get attached to these critters huh?

Shawnee, help! whats up with the gluten?? I need to make my flax muffins today. I have some gluten so tell me, how much do I add? I am assuming that is the recipe you were talking about. Hope you check in and let me know. Anybody else??

Ginny, hope you get that mowing in before company comes.

Reminds me, we have out of town company coming on Sunday for a few days. Need to strip the bed and get those sheets washed.

Loretta, I forgot to say that at the funeral, they had 4 priests and an assistant. Not many of us would be privileged enough for all of those, huh?

Got to run, check in later and hope someone can help me with the gluten question. Hi to all, Julie

Hi everyone,

Susan, THose kids will solve the pool problem I'm sure. Getting set up with a new pool is always a problem. It will be ok.
Good luck with your L & D presentation. I'm sure it will be excellent and educational. Gee it would be fun to listen to you sometime.

Ginny, The grass will wait. You have more important things to do. So mold is one of your allergy triggers too? It's a real big one for me. Sets off an asthma attack. UGH!
We are hoping to check out some places near Cody, Wyoming on the way back from Montana. I still really, really want to live in Montana <sigh> maybe in my next life.

Julie, glad you are back home safe and sound. That funeral must have been special for the family with all of those priests there. I sincerely hope the pain will soon be replaced with warm memories.
Lucky girl!! It would be so much fun to have lunch with You, Mary and Sharon as well as everyone here on our little maintainers thread.

Shawnee, I looked high and low for nuker muffin tins and gave up and bought a pyrex baking dish. I'll try to add a tablespoon?? or so of gluten to the next batch of muffins and see what happens.
Yes, did it cool down yet?

Loretta, Holy cow more company and all at once?? Fill us all in if you have the strength to post here tonight.

Roger, Oh please tell us that there will be a computer there on the island. We will be so sad if we can't chat with you for almost a month?
When are you leaving? Just watch that Mass. turnpike. It's a bad one, not as bad as the Conn. turnpike but close.

DH is getting a bit anxious about tomorrow. We are hoping that his allergic reaction was caused by the antibiotic and not the versed. I'll be sure to tell the anesthesologist tomorrow. Wish they would let me in there to observe.
Oh well..
More later.
