What does it feel like to have PCOS??

Hi! I am just newly pregnant and my doctor has diagnosed me with PCOS. Is is pain on your overies?? I miscarried for the fourth time mid May and didn't have a period, so last week I did a pregnancy test at the doctor and low and behold it was positive!!

The doctor has talked about using glucophage but hasn't prescribed it yet, he's waiting to speak with a neonatal specialist. I'm worried about not getting on the medication fast enough and miscarrying again.

Does any one have any advise??

Hi Lilspud!

I do not have PCOS myself but DD has been diagnosed with it.

It is many symptoms and the ovaries are involved. I will try to forward some good sites. Have you been to INCIID.org, they have a great BB for PCOSers, called the PCOS cafe. You will find FAQs about PCOS that explains all the symptoms and you dont need to have them all to be diagnosed just a couple of them.

I hear Metformin or glucophage, same med, has worked Miracles for PCOSers. DD is taking 1000mg a day now to get PG.

Sorry for your Loses. Sending ((((hugs)))). Congrats on the New Pregnancy. Hope you get the right Med to help you stay PG!

do try www.INCIID.org and go the PCOS cafe!

Sorry not computer literate to insert the url for you.

Another thing stay away from Cats they carry toxoplasmosis and this even lives in the soil where they go and is very toxic to a developing embryo/fetus and can cause miscarrage. Wear gloves if changing the cat litter and try not to breathe in the dust or get DH to do it for you.

Hope this helps.

Susan
