Sat, July 12th.
Good morning magnificant ones.
Lovely, cool breeze here today but it's going to get HOT again tomorrow. I'm going to be busy today but will check back later. Check out KastaDiva's posts on the Golden. That girl is really up on her research. Here is one http://www.low-carb-friends.com/bbs/...hreadid=121935 Roger, what is a "scrolling" mouse? Loretta, please find sometime for yourself with all that company hanging around. Let them fend for themselves a bit. Shawnee, is everything OK ? Hopefully you were just busy with life. Julie, When are you leaving for the funeral? Waving to Susan, Ginny, and Pam. Last edited by LoveMontana : 07-12-2003 at 09:40 AM. |

HI to ya
Not sure how much longer I will have the luxury of getting in here to talk at you folks. I think first guests are arriving sometime today. DH talked with that DD and he was not sure about arrival time. We will play that by ear. My nest is made on the screened in patio. It is a little hot out there but not too bad. I'll manage. Zip thanks for the advice about the mouse. Not sure if I want to dunk it in alcohol until I have a standby ready to use. I guess I could just pick one up at WM instead of a Office supply store. What say you? Good idea though about dunking it in alcohol and I might try that when I'm prepared with a new one on hand. I don't want to be unable to get to my pc at all. It has a round connector. Yes weight gain is sure a side effect of taking that pred. You will get that off in no time flat. Linda a scroll mouse has a wheel in the middle of it and you can just run the wheel up and down and the page will go up and down. It is much nicer and easier than using the side bars. I am spoiled with it. Your trip sounds great and I'm glad you got it all together. I know you are looking forward to it. Thanks for the recipe for the Flaxmeal muffins. After that company goes I will make some. Do you use a muffin top pan? How many muffins will that make? I have another question. It says to seperate the eggs. But what do you do with the egg whites? I can't find any reference for them in the recipe. Susan what is up with taking the ginsing? I took it a long time ago for a while but stopped after some irregular menstrual bleeding. Now I am on a ginko baloba kick. I have been taking it for about a month but don't notice any difference. I am trying to cut back on my HRT slowly. I never did have any bad menopausal problems. I want to try to get off of them. I think that is why I started to take the ginko. I took one pill of that Black Colash (for menopausal sypmtoms) and got such a headache that I decided against that herb. LOL on the cheese for a new mouse. We have frequent mouse visitors and it won't be long before we get one. Julie have a safe trip. We will be praying for that and your family. Sure hope that your DDIL and future GK wait for your return. Does she have an alternate plan for the care of her other child? Surely Ginny we need a kitchen report. We are all set to see the new and improved version. Enjoy your weekend. Shawnee I sure know about that time getting away. It happens so quickly with one thing and another that needs attention. I know for sure that somedays I could be more productive than being on this pc. But so what that other stuff will wait or get done eventually. I am taking advantage of today. I was going to give my nest a trial run this am but I said what the heck just let me do my usual routine in my nice soft easy chair in the ac house until I HAVE to go to the nest. Shawnee have a great time at the festivals. Enjoy your day away from home. Will check back later Have a nice weekend all. Loretta Last edited by Loretta V : 07-12-2003 at 11:56 AM. |

Hi Y'all
Geez, all this Muffin chatter is getting to me! YUM! Will probably just stick the recipe in the Nuker, tho...turning on the oven is not an option in this weather. Loretta, I caught something about Storms in KY...sure hope they are NOT in your area! So you might get that mouse "drunk", huh? LOL Hope your Get together is fun and relaxed. BTW, Bob thought he had a mouse in the garage...he trapped it..but it was a baby 'possum. HI to Montana, ZIP, Ginny, Susan, Tink and Julie. Have to make this short, as we are going to a little Summer Festival thingy in a nearby country town.....and maybe tonight, to another Festival on the Oregon side of the Columbia. Can only be away from home a few hours at a time, as Pup must stay home alone. Have a good one, y'all Shawnee |

Hi Guys,
Here for a flying visit! Weather is cloudy with rainy periods. Bin reading on WNV today........I know Fun stuff! Off to DDs for DSILs assorted Curries tonight! so that will be some real Fun with a game of Cards indoors of course! Thank you Linda, I will need to get that info on Soy and Thyroid problems. Thanks for the Muffin recipe, I think I have everything needed.......but TIME. Will certainly make time for these! Shawnee, glad to hear from you! I know only too well about leaving the Pup! The Summer Festival sounds wonderful lots of activity and people I'll bet? The evening one sounds in an interesting location. We visited Portland, Oregon a few years back and drove to Seattle and Northern California... Breathtaking Scenery, there must be a God! Even Einstien said, "The only possible explanation for the existance of the Universe was divine creation!" Good idea with the Nuker in those high temps! Loretta, Julie, I took the Ginseng just for a boost to get me going, to do the old molly stuff......I need motivation, so I took just a half and felt the side effects along with the good effects. Anyhoo, I am going under my own steam for today! It sure does increase the circulation to the brain and I guess other parts eh Loretta, sure dont need that! The ginko gives me terrible headaches, so bit afraid of that, too much circ. to the brain? I've never tried the black cohosh still have TOM regularly!Hope you can settle down in between your guests arriving Loretta, even a small amount of prayer time gives a much needed break! Will you be able to go to Church tomorrow?Julie, have a safe trip! Iam sure you will be more comfortable in the motel. Who will fursit? or takin along? Is it this Monday the C section? Will talk when you return. Wishing Ya'all a great Weekend, Pam, Ginny & Roger! ![]() |

Susan, here are some sites. I have more that I'll post later.
http://www.mercola.com/article/soy/ and this http://www.soyonlineservice.co.nz/ more http://thyroid.about.com/cs/soysdownsides/ Shawnee, have fun at the festivals. We have some around here but I haven't gotten to them yet. Loretta and Roger, duh!! That's the kind of mouse I have. It came with the computer. I didn't realize that there were other mouse options. The muffin recipe makes about 14. I don't bother seperating the eggs and just dump everything in a bowl and mix up. Just use a regular muffin tin. I haven't seen a muffin top pan Guess I lead a sheltered life.Hopefully it won't be too hot in your "nest". Ginny, oh please give us an update on that kitchen and some pictures too. Julie, how is it going? Pam, update on that dress, OK? Can you post some pictures? Running my ass off here today, more later. Last edited by LoveMontana : 07-12-2003 at 01:51 PM. |

Hey gang,
A pretty day here today, nice and sunny. Woke up with a headache, but it's gone now, so maybe this evening when it cools off a bit I'll work Torchy. Tyke's ear is healing, but taking it's time. Poor thing is being so good about it all, but the puppy kisses have been few and far between this week ![]() Shawnee, have fun at the festivals! We've gone to some around here, and the crowds can get fairly large, but they are more a friendly crowd so I don't get so aggravated LOL Susan, enjoy your weekend, and do some fun stuff. All your studying takes a lot of time, huh! Loretta, glad you have a 'safe spot' for when company is there. I know what you mean about needing some alone time. Have to recharge the batteries in a quiet place. Enjoy the visit with them, and hide as needed! Linda, the kitchen has been in stasis for a couple weeks now. I think DH needed a break before the next wall is tackled. He's really worked his butt off so far on it. Here's a recent in-process pic ![]() And another ![]() Gotta run, company just came!

Haven't left yet. Leave first thing in the morning. The funeral is Tuedsday and we'll be back on Wed. Thought I had already posted that but maybe not.
Susan, I hae a good friend who loves Bo and took care of him for a week last Feb. when we went to Mexico. She comes to the house and stays all night with him. Isn't she sweet?? I don't have to worry one bit. C-Section has been called off since the baby turned on it's own last weekend. Quite surprised this late. So she'll now have to wait for nature to take it's course. I have had a heart to heart with my though and he'll make her wait until we get back at least. I'm kind of mean, aren't I? It was in jest and he knew it. I take waaaaay toooo many pills now without adding more. LOL Loretta, they (the kids) do have an alternate plan now!! You enjoy those kids and take some deep breaths now and then. When will they all be gone? Are you going to be able to post? Enjoy your nest!!! Linda, I too always throw all the ing. in for the muffins. All goes in a bowl and thats it. So easy. I was surprised you didn't know about a scrolling mouse too. Hey, it's ok, I'm pretty inept at a lot of computer terms. Ginny, poor Tyke!!! It must hurt just as much for you as it does for him. Hope you are giving him lots of kisses then. Kitchen looks just beautiful. Shawnee, sounds like you are staying pretty busy outdoors while you can. Is your cooking going by the wayside? You nuke muffins? Interesting. I do have a micro muffin pan too. Care to share? See you on Wed. Julie

Hi everybody,
Ginny, Your new kitchen is really great and spacious. It must seem like heaven to you. Scrolling mouse: Not everyone knows this function (and maybe all don't have it) BUT if you just push down on the wheel without turning it, you get a small upa and down arrow on the page. You can move the mose down a bit and auto scrolling begins (same with up)....that way you can read a million word article hands free. Speed of scroll is dependent on distance from marker. Your up/down keyboard arrows will then work the same way....it's REALLY handy. A GORGEOUS dry sunny warm day today! One of summer's rare ones. Calves liver smothered in fried onions was DELICIOUS today! Frittering the day with computer repair and reconstruction (not MINE, thank god). Roger Susan, you said the magic words :mixed curries!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zip you are a genius. Mouse was doused and is working fine. Except I used lighter fluid. Lots of crud came out of that wheel. That is usually what I use to clean the inner mouse workings. Thanks for the other tip on pushing down on the wheel to get the page moving. SO much about this thing I DON'T know. Boy thanks a million for the cleaning tip. IT WORKED!!!! UNBELIEVEABLE
Ginny thanks for the pics. That kitchen is going to be beautiful. No company yet. Not sure when they will arrive. They are probably operating on Calilfornia time. Susan DH and I went to church this evening. We usually do go on Sat evening anyway. Linda thanks about the eggs. I was a little Now I got it.Loretta Last edited by Loretta V : 07-12-2003 at 07:02 PM. |

Back again...
A friend I used to work with stopped by to see us! That was really nice, he used to be the shipping supervisor, and we were quite close friends while we worked together. Hardly ever see him any more. Ok, where was I? Zip, glad you enjoyed a nice day for a change, and have fun with the computer rebuild. When it's not ours and it's not a necessity, the creative juices can take over. Did you find it's operating system yet? Julie, y'all have a safe trip. Very nice that you have someone to take care of your furkid like that. SIL has a German Shepherd that a friend keeps while they are on vacation. The friend has 2 others, and they all get along well. Everyone is so much happier that Kiera doesn't have to go to a kennel! Pam, any luck with getting some rain yet? Do y'all have to worry much about fires in your area or is this an unusual thing being so dry? So glad you're enjoying Curves! It seems like lots of small towns have them now, and they all seem kind of small and leads me to believe much more personable than some of the larger gyms. Well, hope I got everyone.....y'all have a nice evening. Off to lurk! |
