Sunday, July 6

Hey everyone!

Just thought I'd start us off a little early (or at least early for me) with some eye candy!

Hope y'all are having a good Sunday!

Hi everybody,

Ginny,

Your daylilies are lovely. Bob picked a couple spikes and we've had 3 days of "openings" on the DR (hah) table.

We saw Lynn Redgrave- she has MARVERLOUS stage presence. She was one of three solo performances that made up 1/2 of TALKING HEADS by Alan Bennett. Basically Bennett deals with introspective looks at older lonesome screwed-up Brits and lus see into their quirks for 1/2 hour each. (season is 6 performance and each evening is 3 pieces).
Material was rather "special" and not too gripping. But SHE was marvy! She strikes me as a very sweet woman.

I'm hangin in there, maybe feeling a little better each day. But I don' know how people take a passle of different meds in huge quantities all day long....my stomach is ready to throw in the towel in spoite of the Pravachol.

Quiet air conditioning day today. I'll make a nice Szechuan Pork stir fry for dinner....got tons of rice made so it should be easy. Beautiful purk cutlets cut razor thin and marinating already.

Be well,

Roger

Hi

Hoping for a quiet day. Our neighbors left a mess with spent fire crackers from last night. We had lots of empty cartridges on our lawn and surrounding area. Lots of empty pop, beer cans, paper coffee cups thrown from cars strewn along my country roads this morning. Picking up after the world.

Ginny I love the view of your front porch with the rows of day lilies
drooping heavily with their flowers. Looks like a real Southern Living picture. Southern Americana at its best. Nice shot. I love those pictures. Thanks.

Glad that you enjoyed Lynn Redgrave, a classy lady there for sure. Will you be seeing the doc again soon or only if you don't get well. I agree about the drugs screwing up ones system. Your dinner sounds a lot better than mine which will be pork ribs and sauerkraut. Using up those .97 cent a pound ribs and going to cook the he!! out of them. I tried them barbequed but so tough and not much meat. You pay for what you get. I was not in favor of that purchase.

Will check in later today.
Hi to the rest of you.

Loretta

Hi Ya!

Wow, how wonderful to be greeted with such gorgeous, "eye candy." What a delightful treat Ginny. Thank YOU! Lots of ewwws and awwws coming from me!

Roger, So glad that you are feeling better. YIkes, yep the old stomach and colon dont like those Meds eh?
Wow, do share the recipe for your supper! Pleeeeze drowling at the mouth. I have lots of pork in the freezer, howdya slice it so thin.....a project for DH, with the Stanely knife! LOL! Pray do tell, what those spices are? I have'nt christened our supper yet! Weather wise, another hot one up here, getting more than our full quota of sunshine!
Glad you enjoyed Ms. Redgrave.........Georgie Girl Not!!!! eh???

Loretta, Yikes, poor you having to clear up after the Fun! Nuf said about Community Spirit eh? Even when I am driving and some nut tries to pass at a ridiculous speed and weaving, I back off and say, okay kiddies go ahead, who is the adult here! I know it seems we have to pick up after those that cant see their own mess.
Your supper sounds delicious, you sure get the cabbage in there lots. That reminds me I havent made your cabbage noodles lately. Excellent fibre and crucerferious, helpful gases, generated from cabbage, prices good too! Anything else its good fer? Are you marinating the ribs, slow cooking them. I'm not an expert on ribs!

Wishin ya 'ALL a Great Sunday!

Susan I am slow cooking the ribs in a slow cooker. Not much different than a crock pot. They have some hot salsa on top of the kraut and it sure spieces the dish up a lot.

Hope you are enjoying a quiet Sunday.

OMG Ginny, your flowers and yard are so beautiful!! Thanks for brightening my day. Humm, what would it take for me to get you here for a bit to teach me the ropes. LOL

Roger, Sorry your stomach is upset from the meds. Hopefully you can get rid of them soon.
Damn RICE?? Oh well if you can eat it without it bothering your blood work and weight.

Loretta, salsa on top of kraut?? It sounds interesting. Maybe I'll give it a try.
Sorry about those slobs leaving a mess in your area. My favorite bumper sticker says " If it's tourist season, why can't we shoot them?" Hopefully things will settle down around your area before the next big holiday.

Hi Susan, enjoy your day.

Well Pam, at least we know you are still with us. Hope all is well

Shawnee, how are you doing?

I'm rushing to get ready for my nephew to visit but will return later.
Kids were good and fun last evening. Didn't get home till really late.

Hi Y'all

A nice day here, in the Seventies...and just an ocassional "boom" to disturb the Peace...finally.

Ginny, bless your heart LOVE to see your pics...how pretty they are! Dang, would love to be on your porch (in a rocker with a Mint Julip )...all the Pups around my feet...AAAHHH, Heaven...

I gave Pup had a bath and pedicure today. Had a lazy day, even read a book.

ZIP, I have been on a Stir-fry kick since you clued me into Sesame oil. Continue on the Wellness Road. You are blessed to see some of the Greats! How sad we lost Hepburn last week...she was an ICON for many generations of admirers...anyhoo, at 96, she passed knowing she had LIVED LIFE !

Loretta...your description of litter fits this area in Spades...we are a nation of pigs! This holiday is just an excuse for a majority of people to raise hell, at the expense of flora, fauna, and non-hellraisers. They are not celebrating their Country's freedom; they are exercising their rights to trample RESPECT

Susan, here's some ideas re Cabbage:

Hi Tink...glad to see ya streakin' thru! Hope your time with Family was fun.

Montana, ya gotta try some Kraut with Salsa! I pile Kraut over keilbasa, add shredded cheese...nuke it a bit to melt the cheese, then pour on the Salsa.

later
