I look a little scrawny at 130 so I like the 136-138 range...

I'm small framed, my goal is 120, though at my age (54) I think I'll be happy at 130ish.

that's what I wondered too. I'm 50 and maybe 127 would be too low ?

I’m 53 and currently 114, but I’d like to be around 110.

So true. I have long limbs and a short torso. If I get too thin, I look a kid's stick figure drawing.

Good morning, everyone. I know everyone's body is different but I'm seeing numbers that used to register on the scale for me back about 5 years ago - have slowly gained about 10 lbs. per year in the last several years... but I'm back lcing and wanted to just get an idea, if you will, how long it took y'all to reach your current weight? A year? 6 months?

I started back on this WOE 9/22/14 and have been going strong... The scale won't agree with me everyday - but hey - I'm feeling better and my clothes are fitting better so trucking along I go.

Anyway - y'all's results are very inspiring so I thought I'd be even more so with how long it took y'all?

Thanks.

I started 9-2-13 at 180. I've lost 42 lbs so far. I'm going with the saying "slow and steady wins the race" as my motto.

That's awesome! I think I might be on the slow track as well - which is fine with me - it just gets a little discouraging some days.

My scale goes up and down so much, I can't keep track - but over the weekend I registered 176 and of course, this morning it was back up to 178... I never know if I'm gaining or losing!

I'm in it for the long run though - I just feel better eating this way. This thread is very motivational for me.

Thanks for sharing!

It took me from June last year to about March to lose about 30 lbs. I’ve probably gone down another couple of pounds since then, but nothing much.

Thank you. I try to only weigh once a week. I find it less frustrating. I seldom go up, but can stay on the exact same number for what feels like forever. I too am in it for the long haul. I'm too old to keep treating my health like it's not important. I want to be able to dance at my grandchildren's weddings.

My goal is 135 and I'm 5'2. I'm also 52, but for some reason I have it in my mind that anything lower isn't reasonable for my age. Then I see people my age or older and height and think maybe I can do 125! I guess I will decide when I get to 135. I'm down 12 lbs. in the last 4 weeks, so that is encouraging. It truly gets harder to lose the older you get.

I completely agree on the being too old to continue doing this to my body comment. I have decided it's way better to feel good about yourself (and actually be healthy) than indulge in something to eat that will eventually make you feel like poop!

My goal is to eat healthy and I'm certain my body will follow. I am not a pro at this WOE, that's for sure, but I'm constantly amazed at the weight loss of some people who are around the same weight as I started at... I know we're not supposed to compare, but I often wonder what they're doing differently than me.

And if the scale keeps bouncing - how do you know what you've accomplished?

What plan are you following? I'm doing Nutritional Ketosis (there is a sub-forum on this Site) and it has been wonderful. I have never felt better in my whole life. If I never lost another pound I would still be happy with how great I feel. I really feel like a different person now. Though I do want to lose some more, but I don't worry about how long it will take. In the mean time, life is good. I love my food on this woe.

If there is anything I can help you with, just holler.

Thanks, grn! I started out on the regular induction - and the scale wasn't moving and someone suggested going to the A'72 (stricter with no veggies), so I've done that - like I said earlier, really haven't seen a loss loss that has stuck...but I do feel better in my clothes. Still wish I saw something more concrete (and the scale to me is more concrete ) But...I will continue on in the hopes something will change sooner or later (at this point it's looking like later - LOL)

I'm going to go check out the Nutritional Ketosis... I am in ketosis - have been for just about the entire time - maybe not the first few days, but since then...

I appreciate your offer to help out. Would you mind giving me a sample menu? Just like to see what others are eating.

Here's mine from today (most days, really)
BPC - usually about 1/2 cup
B - 3 eggs scrambled in butter with about an oz of shredded cheddar
L - grilled chicken breast (5 oz portions) - maybe 1 to 1-1/2
S - if hungry - a few pork rinds
D - usually not hungry - maybe a slice of turkey, or some chicken broth - just depends on my mood.

I always have boiled eggs on hand too - it's easy in the rush of the day.
