Bacon Intake

Just curious - how much on average do you consume per day? Per week?

It varies...it used to be more. I usually buy the precooked stuff and add it to eggs....probably 2 packages of that per week. But when I was in my first few months I inhaled it!

Oh man. I could eat a whole package by myself. When I first did Atkins, I ate a lot. But now, it's maybe 5-6 pieces a week. Love bacon. Makes me want to go cook some right now.

I'm not crazy about bacon alone but I do like to use it in recipes. I usually go through about a package a week but that's for the family too.

I did go through a bacon phase earlier this year when I was really sick of eggs for breakfast and probably ate 2 packages a week alone but that only lasted for about a month.

I usually cook a pound of bacon a week (the good quality stuff) and use it in my morning scrambled eggs, in soup, or on salads. Sad to say, but I hit bacon burnout pretty quickly when I first started LC.

Most days I eat 2 slices for breakfast with my eggs. I never get tired of bacon and eggs.

I go in and out of bacon consumption.
When I am into it, I cook and consume 1lb. per week. And then when not, I go literally months consuming none.

I have to give credit for whoever it was that promoted the idea of oven cooking bacon. It took me ages to try it out but once I did, there is no going back!! Nothing like having ready cooked bacon in the fridge!

at least 2 lbs a week.

bacon is a killer perfect food for me. the benefits are it holds me a long time after eating it.

don't like oven fried bacon. I like my big old skillet on the stove. I stand and fry a ton and bag up for the fridge to use when needed.

I remember reading a post a long time ago on the board. the person ate 1 lb. of bacon per day and had big weight loss on their stats. Hmm...maybe I should be trying that. bacon lover to the max here

I've been eating bacon most days for over 14 years!! I love it -- usually have 2-3 slices in the morning
