Grass fed Beef....

Anyone near an Earth Fare.... they have Grass Fed Beef(start to finish) with no hormones/antibiotics on sale for $3.99 a pound through 8/26. Think I am heading there after work.

That's an awesome price! If I had one nearby, I'd fill my freezer (the chest one... in the basement!).

It is Australian Beef.... but I did research and it appears there is no problem with Aussie Beef (no Mad Cow or anything there) so I was good with purchasing it.

I know.... I usually purchase mine from a local (within 60 miles) farm that grass feeds from birth to slaughter but it is $6.99 a pound and the $3.99 is just a great price.

It is my understanding that some countries do not allow hormone use in their beef. Australia, New Zealand and Canada (my home) are some. I am pretty sure most of the European union does not allow it either. Of course, that does not address the grain feeding issue. I have been lucky enough to source out a reasonably priced, and trustworthy supplier that is just over 30 mins. drive and they deliver too if you order enough.
