Questions to Ask Doctor as Beginning Again

Hello Low Carbers. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow with Eric Westman who specializes in low carb lifestyles. I was scheduled for November, but through a fluke am going tomorrow. I am looking at this as a gift from God.

I did low carb several years ago successfully. I will be successful again and make this a true chane in my lifestyle. Do you have any suggestions for questions I should ask or tests that I should be sure and have done.

Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

WOW, you are so lucky to have access to Dr. Eric Westman!! He has many youtube videos you could watch to prepare yourself for your meeting.

I can't think of anything to ask of him or tests that he wouldn't know to customize the program for you. He not only met Dr. Atkins, but also wrote the new Atkins book, did the LC research, and has years of experience of working with patients.

Yes, I am very excited to be able to see him. He also has a local support group that I am looking forward to joining.

Awesome, I think he'll have a lot of great info for you, and his videos and books will help you after as it's hard during an appointment to absorb all the info. Let us know how the appointment goes.

WOW! I am so jealous! He is THE doctor in this area in North America. I think you will have more to tell us after meeting him than we have to tell you before meeting him :-). I have just been reading the book he wrote with Jimmy Moore, Keto Clarity. It is the most recent book out in this area so you might want to flip through it.

Wow how cool is that! I've watched his videos and he makes such good sense. He effectively explains the science behind blood sugar and carbohydrates. The neat thing is you probably won't have to ask him much. He will give you such good information and support. I wish they had his clone here in Seattle.

I was on my own version of low carb before, so think he will keep me on the sraight and narrow, which is where I need to be. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for all the encouragement!

My elderly mother is ill and I had to cancel my appointment for today. Got the first available one which is Dec 18th. I am disappointed, but mother's need is more urgent.

Hope your mother gets well soon.

I am sure your must be very disappointed to have had to miss your appt. with Dr. Westman. I would take this opportunity to read Keto Clarity and start practicing the information. By December, he will be very helpful in sorting our any difficulties and your blood work will be looking pretty good by then!

Sorry to hear about your Mom. Hope she's feeling better soon. Who knows maybe someone will cancel and you can get in sooner.

We were just talking about protein requirements on the NK forum. Maybe that would be a good question. How much protein do you need? I'd be curious to hear what he has to say.
