Possible to get smaller with no inch or lbs loss??

Exactly two weeks ago, I hit 224.4 lbs, and I decided to try on some new clothes in smaller sizes. I found that the new size 18 skinny jeans were tight, but they fit. New regular size 16 jeans went up all the way to top of my thighs/hips but were way too small to close the button. They were not even close. New size 14 jeans only went up to mid-thigh.

During those two weeks, my weight bounced up by 4.5 lbs, and I only returned to 224.4 as of today. I also measured myself today and there was no inch loss from two weeks ago.

YET, the size 16s now close and zip up (though they are so tight I can barely breathe lol), and the size 14s now are where the 16s were 2 weeks ago (stuck at hip level). The 18 skinnies fit fine now.

I mention these are all new (with labels still attached) because I want to make clear there was no fabric stretching due to previous use or something. This is only the 3rd time I've tried on these clothes also, so it's not stretching due to overtrying them.

How is this possible? I thought inches had to be lost or something to see size reduction.

You are correct! There is no way to be smaller than to lose size in "some" form.Weight, inches, fraction of an inch,...You have lost space somewhere.Size is size is size as far as I know.Maybe someone out there will correct me though,on this board anything is possible..lol

Thanks for your reply Kimberli

I wondered if I was not measuring in the exact same spot, so I remeasured everything throughout my entire body, and I had the same result: no change

I was wondering if maybe my body is sort of rearranging in a way - as in, the inches are the same, but the fat distribution around my hips is changing or something (fat off the sides, but more butt, for instance??). I'm sorta at a loss to explain it otherwise.

I did that a few times - no apparent change but suddenly clothes that were tight yesterday, fit today. All I could figure was 'tight' fat cells loosened up. Which is not much more than and be done with it.

At the time I commented, whatever it is, I'll take it!
