I have a big mug every day. I drink it as BPC and as a breakfast replacement. I'm not sure if it really does anything (positive or negative) for my weight loss.

Honestly, I rarely don't have it, so I don't know if I can say either way!

As far as plain coffee, I drink a whole pot of half-caff flavored coffee, black, every day and have since I started Atkins. It has not affected my weight loss at all.

I was never a fan of cream or sweetener in my coffee. I prefer my tea unsweetened too.

I drink a fair amount and it does impact my loss if I am too generous in the cream. I love it creamy and that adds up to too many calories for me.

I drink a LOT of coffee because my endo tells me that caffeine is one of the few things that can stimulate my sluggish metabolism. I drink it black, so I don't worry about calories. I drink green tea plain as well.

Usually it's coffee before noon and green tea the rest of the day for me.

I find that hot beverages tend to help control my appetite, too.

I love my coffee every morning with butter. Is a good way for me to get in more fat with out added protein.
It seems to give me that little extra push in the morning.
I really think that it had a positive effect on my weight loss in the beginning.

Having said that, I now find that drinking too much coffee dehydrates me and I end up with major inner thigh leg cramps at night…..therefor I do not sleep as well and my weight loss slows down.
So now I am down to only one cup every morning.

I drink at least two big mugs every morning. Hasn't helped or hurt. But even doing Atkins before, drinking coffee never hurt me losing.

Funny - I have enjoyed coffee a lot more since starting this, I do drink a fair bit and also wonder if it hinders me, (I take cream and splenda) but screw it lol.

I drink lots of coffee. It does nothing one way or the other to my weight loss. But I do not add anything with calories to my coffee either.

I drink a ton of coffee some bullet proof some iced. I think I would eat a lot more if i didn't. I haven't lost much in some time but I have not gained either.

I do not think I could continue woe w/o it. I drink water, but it is not capable of replacing coffee. Coffee has replaced my previous addiction of Dr.Pepper so I think it is a win.

Most days I drink 4 mugs (about 1 1/2 cups each mug) of coffee with 1 Tbs of half and half in each mug. Since I track calories and count those as part of my calories, it doesn't effect me one way or the other.

I've been wondering where to put my comment and I came across this thread so here goes.I do not drink coffee much, rarely in fact. I came across someone drinking Bullet Proof Coffee and thought I'd give it a try. After some research I came across the ratio of 1T coconut oil and 1 T grass fed organic butter, I read "DO NOT" add any dairy (no cream, no milk, no 1/2+1/2). The direction said to put in blender and drink.
That was 12 days ago. I have lost 9lbs!!! Starting the morning with this has truly killed my appetite. I had WLS 15 years ago and every now and then I need a tune up. The 5 Day pouch test has always been my "go to" but it gets harder and harder every time. But this coffee drink has made a difference. It is important to blend it, I use an immersion blender stick so I can just blend it in the mug and it forms such a thick creamy head you do not need to add cream.I also use a few drops of E-Z Sweetz. It's been a miracle. There were some stomach gurgles at first so I introduced it on a week end when I'd be home so I knew what to expect. I've since added some fiber in the early evening. Sometimes in tablet form sometimes like Metamucil. Yesterday my menu was: BP coffee. 1/4 c almonds: 2 ounces fresh mozzerella, 3 hot wings with blue cheese. I was never hungry. At this juncture this coffee has been a game changer for me. I can't stress enough how important they say it is to almost basically cut out the carbs, kinda like Atkins in the 70s, but I haven't had this big a whoosh in ages, and my skin is starting to look amazing.I actually am feeling energized enough to start adding the treadmill back into my routine.

For years I drank my coffee black. Then I tried cutting back because I think it was irritating my psoriasis. Then one day I tried a flavored creamer. Now I can't stop drinking it with the flavored creamer! It 's not sugar free and it's really messing up my blood sugar but I can't get myself to stop.

Some others are hounding me to try CO in my coffee and I can't bring myself to do it. I can't see myself buying the grass fed butter either. But I want the results you're having BonnyLass.

Fantastic news, BoonyLass!
I use cream rarely, an 8 ounce carton last me till the expiration date.
But is is rare addition to my coffee. I usually add just CO or MCT and salt.
I rarely use butter either . . . but would choose cream over butter.

That said, butter is a dairy derivative, so hard for me to imagine the effect of cream being that much different than butter, especially if one doesn't get a heavy hand with the cream.

I drink three Nespresso coffees a day. In the afternoon I enjoy it iced with cream and sweetener. It's my salvation.

From what I've read if you want to get the full benefits you are better off with real coconut oil as MCT has Lauren removed which is very important in the purpose of using coconut oil.

I drink a pot of coffee every morning, until lunch and then an espresso/latte later. Hasn't affected me any. Gotta use a lot of HWC though--the coffee mate, sugar free, still has carbs per tbsp.

My skin hasn't looked this good for awhile, and my extreme dryness has almost disappeared. Weight loss has slowed but it's the not being hungry that is so great. I'm just wondering if I am having such good results because coffee is so new to my system. It probably really having a revving up effect on my metabolism. Sticking with it.

I drink coffee a few times per week. I'm not a daily drinker, but my coffee intake increases during the cold months, so I'll be drinking more soon. It doesn't seem to have any effect on my weight, but it does seem to worsen my anxiety if I have too much. Something to consider for those who are easily stressed or suffer anxiety.

I take my coffee roasted to the middle of the second crack, freshly milled before Adding 3 large spoonfuls to 18 ounces of 180 degree water in the French press, and left to brew for 4 minutes and 30 seconds.

When the timer goes off, I pour the result into my 16 ounce cup and add two packets of splenda and a jigger of heavy cream. I allow 3 minutes for the aromatic oils to accumulate at the top of the liquid.

Then I slurp it down with a silly straw.

Being born of the indigenous mildew people of the Pacific Northwest, coffee is a non-negotiable aspect of my life - even now that I'm down in the heat and aridity of the Sonoran Desert. I've never had a problem with coffee stalling my weight loss, though I have had to be mindful of the aggregate quantity of heavy cream I've consumed throughout the day, lest I exceed my 20g daily limit and fall out of ketosis.

This puts a typical latte out of the question. And even for a breve (more fat = less lactose = fewer carbs), I order a 12 ounce with two extra shots of espresso, in order to minimize my carbohydrate intake.

To be fair to those who aren't so strict with the mechanisms of their caffeination habits, my system is extraordinarily sensitive to carbohydrate - and the difference between 20 grams and 35 grams per day is sufficient to knock me out of ketosis.
