Best Tasting Almond Milk

I was using almond milk before but I forgot the brand I was using. Any suggestions? Unsweetened please.

I prefer Almond Breeze. I buy the unsweetened vanilla. I have tried all different kinds, including store brands and I always come back to Almond Breeze.

I buy Silk's unsweetened varieties and like the taste, although to be fair I don't think I've ever tried any other brand. Sometimes I add some toffee or vanilla stevia to a cup. Mmmm...

Almond Breeze is better than Silk imo. Silk seems thicker to me. BUT, the absolute best tasting almond milk is homemade. It's so easy to make and the taste of the store bought just doesn't compare.

I find that whatever the brand, the secret is to add just a touch of sugar free flavoured syrup.

almond breeze and it's not even close. I use sugar free vanilla and I have tried all the store brands including Silk and they taste watered down and more watery. Almond Breeze is the best one by far (it's even worth paying the 3.99 to 4.19 vs 2.99 for a store brand)

I like Blue Diamond Almond Breeze as well. I like all the unsweetened ones (including chocolate!) I tried the Silk brand and didn't like it.

I confess to being a little jealous. The brand we have available where I am is awful- stuffed full of chalk and corn flour. Sometimes living in the middle of nowhere can suck.

I'm thinking of making my own but I have a question. How should it be stored (I assume in a pitcher in the fridge) and how long does it last?

What does everyone use their almond milk for? Or do you drink it like cows milk? I used some for chia seed pudding, but need more ideas.

Well I don't drink Almond Milk (son's allergic to some nuts) sooo.. I drink Flax Milk - in my opinion it tastes better! I also try to alternate it up with coconut milk so I get a variety of nutrients.

blue diamond almond milk is also sold as warm milk unrefrigerated (idk if you still need to refrigerate it once it's opened) but perhaps its abailable in another isle other than the milk isle

if you are maiing it yourself, I would def. store it in the fridge : )

We buy the Kroger's Simple truth or the Silk Almond/Coconut blend. Those are the only 2 options where we shop that don't have carrageenan. I mostly use it for cooking, but mom drinks it every day.

I feel a bit like a derelict now, the dissenter enjoying my Silk brand almondmilk in the corner, haha!!

I use it in baking as an LC milk sub, in any LC cereal or granola I bother to make, or just as a drink! Sometimes I'll add flavored stevia and it's good stuff.

I just store mine in a glass jar in the fridge. It doesn't last as long as store bought because it doesn't have all the preservatives so I just make about two cups at a time (I'm the only one who drinks it at my house). It lasts a couple days. I drink it just like regular milk or add it to coffee.

Yet again, I agree - mine is stored in the fridge and I use the leftover meal in baking.

I tend to use the almond milk for making glucomannan shakes or pudding.

Does the almond meal work well in baking? I've heard unless it is blanched it's not so great so I haven't tried to make anything with my meal. The neighborhood squirrels love it though!

I think Silk not as thick because of it's lack of carageen which a lot of people trying to avoid ,it's made from seaweed right?

I just tried Flax Milk yesterday and it was awesome! So much better than almond milk, IMO. I added a tiny bit of SF salted caramel syrup.

I'm noticing a lot of the Almond Breeze unsweetened varieties have tapioca starch in them. This is really laaaame, no one else has an unsweetened chocolate variety!
