FYI Iced coffee lovers

Just purchased Starbucks unsweetened ice coffee from the grocery store, 48 oz. bottle for $5 and it tastes great I know lots of folks make their own iced coffee but I have never been satisfied with my attempts in making a good brew.

I have DD iced coffee with cream daily. I hate it at home. I can never do it right. Do they make a decaf version?

Omg!!!!! Thank you. I have been waiting for someone to put something out for us. And let me tell ya, I first finally had Starbucks last week at Baylor hospital, it's all they serve, even in the waiting rooms lol, but it's so freaking good. I do see what all the hype is about.

Is it 100 percent coffee, without sweeteners or cream?

I found that the best way to make iced coffee is to cold brew overnight - put coffee grounds and cold water in a french press in the fridge and the next morning you have a great coffee concentrate for iced coffee. I add almond milk to mine.

That's my method, too, although I skip the french press. I just put coarse grounds in a mason jar overnight and strain through a coffee filter or piece of cloth the next day. I typically add just a scant dash of cream and/or MCT oil and pinch of salt, over a lot of ice. Yummy!

It is 100% coffee, just black unsweetened coffee. I found it in the refrigerated section near the cream and milk in the grocery store. I don't know if there is a decaf.

Found it at walmart! Pricey, 4.99 a bottle. But I'm stoked! No nutritional value except 10 cal/serving. It's just coffee, you add your own everything... or not!

Michelle, what are the 10 calories from?

I've looked for just coffee for travel for many years, so this good news.
I probably would only buy it occasionally but what a great convenience..

I think the TJs cold brew has a weird astringent yogurty taste, even after dilution. I wanted to love it, but I don't

Thank you so much for sharing. Went to Frys ($4.99) and they had them stock piled. This is so awesome.

lol.... Obviously, someone at SB is not telling the truth. I'm assuming those 10 calories are from carbs. Can't find the ingredient list online to read the ingredients.

The ingredients are coffee, water and asorbic acid. I just assumed the carbs are from the coffee bean.

Can't find the Starbucks variety at my favorite grocery store, and I am trying not to shop at Wal Mart anymore (don't get me started).

But I have been brewing a k-cup of a locally roasted chocolate infused coffee in the evenings and then putting it in the fridge for use in the morning. Then I add HWC and a few drops of SweetLeaf, and sometimes I add a little bit of Hershey's Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup. It's pretty darn good!

I should do the math and see if this is cheaper than making my own. (I have an espresso brewer and grind down inexpensive regular-grind coffee to save money.)

I don't think it's cheaper by any means but it's worth it to me to just grab the bottle and pour.

I guess it depends on which brand of coffee I buy. Ground espresso is expensive unless it's from Mexico. I have to admit the grab-and-go factor sounds good for the iced latte I have a couple of days a week. (I usually do hot in the morning.)

I got the ground New Mexican pi˝on coffee at Trader Joes for $6.99 or thereabouts. I cold brew by dumping 1/3 the can in 2-3 quarts of filtered water. Let it sit overnight or longer and then strain. Store in airtight container in fridge. That usually lasts me at least 2 weeks. Calculating....I could get as much as 2 gallons for less than $7 (?) Of course each batch depends on how much you use and how strong you like it. I used Yuban 100% Colombian last time. Very strong. But it was cheap...$5 on sale at Kroger.
