You can try their grilled chicken Caesar salad, or get one of their grilled selections and ask for steamed or grilled veg and a side salad dry and you can add oil and vinegar. I haven't been to Olive Garden since I started LC even though its about 5 minutes from my house!! My favorite there is the Steak Gorgonzola fettuccine (YUMMMM) but it's like 80 carb (ewww)
You can also go to their website and check out their nutritional menu - you'll find something!!

I ordered the grilled plate with salad one time and DH and I waited forever for our food and it was overpriced and not very good.

I just eat their salad dressing when there..... love the breadsticks, but don't touch them !

I find it easier to stay home most of the time too. My willpower isn't the strongest right now, so being out where there are a LOT of foods I love but can't eat can be quite difficult.

I actually have never cared for their pasta, it is pastey, but if you put enough alfredo sauce on it you can get it down (no that's not what I'll have)

I think if I get something grilled??? and a green vegie I'll be all right. MIL always does soup salad and bread sticks, she thinks it is wonderful.

My dad has been a low carb advocate for about 15 years, and although I haven't tried it, I have seen him ask for a pasta dish served over spinach instead of noodles...

It always sounded genius to me.

As a precaution, I often ask for extra-virgin olive oil & just use that as dressing. Tastes better anyway!

I always love Salmon with wilted buttered Spinach.......yum
Push the bread to her side of the table and block it with the salt and pepper and whatever promo signs they have on the table. Out of site out of mind.. Tell her that the bread is all for her.

Their dressing is 2g per serving (2T), 3 servings in an entire bowl of salad.

It was so disappointing. They even brought me a special menu with carb counts. I ordered a grilled chicken cesear salad with no croutons and ranch dressing on the side.

I was served nasty wilting, slimy lettuce with grilled chicken....yuck! I did not want to say anything b/c of my MIL or I would have let management know.

So now the lack of yummy food has me wanting to binge

don't do it!! Trust me on this! all it will do is make you feel worse. Make yourself something yummy but also low carb.

I would think about contacting the management. sometimes they ignore complaints, but sometimes they do something in compensation.

Sorry you had a bad experience
I did a "custom order" last time we went and had an un-breaded chicken breast cooked in butter and garlic (it probably wasn't real butter), served with broccoli and the salad (no croutons).
We drive past an olive garden about once a month, eat there maybe once a year but pick up 2-3 bottles of their dressing a few times a year.

I don't ever go there anymore. Last time the hostesses were playing chase with each other in the entrance area. That was a sign from the beginning..... It was downhill from there..

Sorry you had a lackluster experience, but at least they did bring you a menu with carb counts.

You could use this as an opportunity to know that being disappointed in food is okay. Everything isn't going to be yummy or satisfying (and sometimes it can be just plain terrible)--but life goes on. There will always be another meal. One bad meal is never your last opportunity to enjoy food, and disappointment doesn't need to make you binge. I hope you made good choices for yourself!
