Induction and Atkins shakes..opinions?

How do you react to shakes?

First week back in the saddle. Wt was 263 was 250 day 7, go figure day 8 I was up 253, but I ate wings and lots of salt, so I'll drink extra water tomorrow.

Here's my problem..IM NOT HUNGRY. I literally get shaky, I know I need to eat, and the thought GAGS me. Deeeeep ketosis. So I bought Atkins shakes, vanilla and caramel latte. I'm able to drink those, and not gag. I ate 4 wings at lunch..forcefully mind you, but at dinner I was shaky. I grabbed a shake, couple ice cubes and blended..sucked it down over 15 min and felt as satisfied as if I'd eaten chicken and greens.

I've been doing Adkins for years but over the last 5 have given into endulging and menopause..bad combo, and gained 90 lbs. I have to lose it. Now I'm rambling lol! Thanks!

I can do a protein shake once in awhile, but for me if I start having them too often they cause hunger later. They are a nice option when it's hot!

I read on another site someone used them breakfast and lunch and ate a good dinner and lost 100lbs in 8 months. That being said, sounds like slim fast diet lol.

I just want to know if I do this once a day will I stall, or has anyone?

Today
B. BP coffee maybe 2
L. Atkins Shake
D. Hamburger Patty, cheese, stir fried green beans

2 diet sodas and 6 waters is my goal. I wish in a way I was a lil hungry!

For the longest time I have not touched the shakes or the bars and I was never hungry, and never had a craving for sweets.

Up until a few weeks ago I started to reward myself with my weight loss by buying a box of atkins bars and a pack of strawberry shakes. The problem I found was they only made me more hungry for another one, which led to me eating them every day for the past two weeks. I love the shakes and love the bars even more (especially that raspberry/vanilla breakfast one). But I did stall, and I do crave them more then ever.

So tonite I will be finished with my box and shakes, and I will try (again) tomorrow to only eat my meal or two without those snacks in between. I know for a fact I was losing much more without them. They are just so addicting !!!!!

B x (if)
L gyro salad
D (atkins bar and shake ), couple slices of roast beef around a slice of provolone, almond milk
S almonds

It's impossible to say, everyone is different. It could work for you

Oh I'm refusing the bars because I'm trying to count total carbs and not net. I've had issues in the past with bars stalling the crap out of me, and they call my name..liiiiiiiiizzzzzz lol. The shakes don't set in cravings, probably because I'm not LOVING the taste, more like ...LIKING it ok. It's a little vitaminy in flavor lol but I can drink one in 10 minutes, and sustains me for half a day.

I hope no hunger lasts..kinda. Scared about starvation mode, so at least the shakes give me nearly 200 calories and 15g of proteins and vitamins etc...but not having to physically chew and swallow haha.

Bars.. Back away form them....slowly and make the sign of the CROSS! Evil things!

I "used" to do 1 shake or bar a day, as well as LC tortilla's then I "slowed" down. I "think" as a meal replacement your body (my body) missed out on the fat you get with normal cooking. You will figure it out when or if you need to cut them out (especially the bars). But until then, enjoy!

Just something to "think" about....there are healthier protein powders and bars, and home-made treats out there that are just as tasty (if not more-so) than Atkins products.

Have an amazing day

I understand you are having issues with no appetite and are getting shaky. If it were me I would try to eat as cleanly as possible. You are only on your first week, it could be using the shakes right from the got go could make it harder down the road. That said it really seems as though everyone has to find what works for them and I hope you do as well

I have an Atkins shake for breakfast every day. I started with the Premeir Protein shakes but switched to Atkins because they are lower protein.

I can do 1 shake a day with no problem. More than 1 shake a day, or an atkins bar, and I stall.
