US's largest egg producer touts record egg sales

According to the company website, they are the largest producer of eggs in the US.

Cal-Maine touts record egg sales in latest year
Quote:
Cal-Maine Foods Inc. said its fresh egg sales totaled about 1.014 billion dozen eggs in its recently completed fiscal year, calling it a record for any supplier.

The company said the sales figure for the year ended May 31 marks the first time any domestic or world egg supplier has surpassed annual sales of more than one billion dozen eggs.
We're making progress!

That's awesome! That's a lot of eggs! I'd love to see how the numbers feel for organic vs regular eggs. Producers are catching on and we are making a difference!

I think besides the change in what "they" are telling us about eggs, the ever increasing price of meat is driving people to eggs.

Before starting low-carb I was skipping breakfast and eggs. I am so happy to be eating them each morning and I so look forward to it. I think eating eggs for breakfast really kick starts your day...
I also love those deviled eggs. I can make it in 30 seconds with a ready boiled egg.
I bet that the cream sales are also up.

I love eggs, wish I could have 3-5 hens for my egg (and pet chicken) needs but the husband vetoed that until we retire.

And I heard on the radio yesterday that for the first time in a long time, sales for real butter topped sales for margarine. I think word is spreading ....

I wish I could get my sister to trade margarine for real butter but she takes everything her "nutritionist" says as the law.

I agree. Love me some eggs. My dear wife will make deviled eggs for me about once a week. She will make enough to last a couple days. We use Duke's mayo so there is no sugar added, just the carbs that are in the eggs. Great product for LCing!
