Hi all,

My name is Ian and I am a 59 year from Australia.

I need to use a little bit of weight, so am trying a modify vision of low-carb
i.e. no potatoes, no pastry, no cakes ect.

I hope like this works & that you kind people can help me with recipe ideas

best of luck.

you can back your way into lc. cut the big main carbs like the taters/breads/sweets.
take out the biggest offenders and you are on your way.

if you google 'low carb recipes' you hit a zillion sites with great options. tons to choose from.

I think lowering carbs overall is great. I wonder if you might think about giving a ketogenic diet a try though? as long as you don't have any health issues that would prevent you from trying that is. Atkins induction gives the benefit of ketosis that some other lower carb plans don't IMO

This is good advice^^!! There are a lot of recipes in the recipe help & suggestions threads. I also like the blog I breathe, I'm hungry; Maria Emmerich's is another good and a lot of great information. For desserts, I like all day I dream about food. So many talented cooks out there.
