Please give me patience

Oh please bless me with patience. I have been cruising along , turning my sticks pink and purple regularly. And have not lost ( or gained!) a pound, nearly the exact same weight every morning for nearly 10 days.

I know it's not unusual to have that stall, but please please please, send me the WHOOSH soon. It's tough to keep the faith.

Can I hop on that blessing? I have been stalled about a week. Sticks are purple. Exercise, water, super low carbs. And I get nothing. Keep the faith. What is the alternative? To give up? There is no reward in that. We can get through this and we will get that reward!
Just letting you know there is another staller out here feeling your pain but sending you blessings of determination! We got this.

I went through that exact thing recently... then lost about 13 pounds over the course of a week and a half and still losing steadily. Stick with it! You know it's worth it

stay lc true.
you will lose inches even without the scale moving. (believe me this is true!)
also.....time. the body gives up what it wants. it holds to what it wants. Stay eating lc clean and you will be rewarded.
women have hormone interference, stress interference etc.

time. stay true LC and work the plan and again, you get the reward. DO NOT let your mind sabotage you

I've been in a stall for over a month! Talk about frustrating!!!! Well guess what? I took out the tape measure and measured myself and I have lost a total of 7 inches overall... without the scale moving one iota! Get out your tape measure! That's keeping me going!

I've been stuck at 168 for 2 1/2 weeks now. Yesterday and today I was 172-173, but I think that's because I have started to drink the water I should have been drinking all along. But I have changed things around starting yesterday ALOT and actually started to research how I'm eating and picking out a few things that have slowed me down....

I don't think I'm moving scale or inches at all, BUT as FATTYNOMORE said, We got this. I'm loving what I'm doing, I'm loving what I've done, and my body WILL give up those inches and that visceral fat eventually.

What I'm going to tell myself when this happens (just re-started yesterday) is that at least I'm not GAINING.

Hang in there...I know it's hard, but one.day.at.a.time. That whoosh will happen.

My weight loss is blazing....just like a snail! But it is moving. Like FNM said, what are the choices again? Oh, yeah, you could go back to eating SAD, but isn't that what got you here in the first place?

You can do it!! Changes are happening even if your scale can't see them!

Rather than being too discouraged, I am going back to the basics.
Truth is, I have let some fruit, gin, and a few nuts in. I must be nuts!
They've been gone again for several days now, so I hope my long plateau ends in another week (or before would be nice).
No way, though, that I am going back to where I was a year ago!

Yeah, I need to back away from the nuts myself. And the dark chocolate. But, oh, it feels like a deprivation just to think about it which is what I want to avoid. I just can't keep that stuff in the house. So once I'm out, I'm out and I won't buy any for a while till I get my belly banished.

I've gone through it before too, in fact I go through it on a regular basis. My body tends to stay at the same weight for weeks, then I lose some, then the same weight for a couple weeks, then I lose a few....over and over. I don't weigh very often because it discourages me, even though I know my body has this pattern.

I weigh daily and plot it with a tool that creates a smoothed weighted moving average, as described in "the hacker's diet" Signal and Noise

That link is a pretty lengthy explanation, but you don't really have to understand it to use the free web tool. Here's the plot of my daily weigh ins since november. The grey line represents my actual fluctuating weights and the red line is the generated trend line.

It helps maintain your sanity because even when your weight stays the same for days on end, the TREND line still usually moves.

I remember telling someone a few years ago that it's like the tide going out. Some waves will wash up higher on the beach than the ones before, but after time, the water level IS lower.

And good news, I tried on a jacket I had packed up 3 weeks ago to return to the store, since it was too snug around my hips. I slipped it on before running it back to the store and you know what? IT FIT!!

Being very patient. And have started recording carbs. Even though I am turning that silly stick pink, I think I could do better.

Losing in cycles

I think it's very important for women to bear in mind the effect that their hormonal cycles have on weight loss. Instead of weighing weekly, or monthly, I believe we should be honoring our individual bodies and weighing by cycles (I weigh about a week into each cycle). Whose body follows a 31-day month anyway? Our bodies don't know what day of the week it is but they sure know where they are in their own personal cycle.

Just something to keep in mind. And you are going through a slew of internal changes which are not being reflected on the scale. Don't let it rule you!

I think that's prudent for those who are swayed by the scale. I'm not but it still is disheartening every time I don't see a new number.

First off:
HUGE to all the LOSERS!
For those that aren't, remember the scales are EVIL!!

IMHO, keep the faith, if you're eating clean (no cheats) LC WOE does work. Double check your food log, make sure some crappy carb hasn't snuck in under the radar. If you eat out, beware that what we KNOW should be low carb or NO carb sometimes HAS lots of carbs (IHOP puts pancake batter in their scrambled eggs and omelets to make them fluffier -- did ya know?)

Wishing all of us heartfelt success on our personal LC WOE journeys!!!

I eat out very very rarely. Home cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner most every day. And i wish I could blame this on hormonal cycling, but I'm long past that.
My hubby says the human body is remarkable in the way it can hang on to weight down to the slightest variation of a few ounces for days on end. Yes, and weeks on end too, evidently! Just going to keep on keeping on and see where that gets me . I know where I will be if I go back to carbing it up. Applying for a Lane Bryant frequent shopper card.

I consider very slow weight loss a gift. It teaches me over time to stick with it, and I become more and more comfortable in this way of eating. Cravings are gone, and I no longer fantasize about what I will do "when I lose the weight". I get to practice maintenance until my body decides to let go of more weight. This is my forever, and I'm learning it day by day. And loving it.

I've been using the Hacker's Diet log for six years. It stinks during pregnancy, because I watch the line go up and up, but it is crucial for maintenance for me.

I sure hope I am not premature in this, but the scale DID move down 2 lbs over the weekend.
Just hoping that it keeps moving on down. I appreciate all the support, folks, thank you all so much.
