I am going to check them out. Last time I made spinach dip I used celery instead of Triscuit to dip into the spinach but these might be a nice option too...

How about pork rinds, wouldn't they work for your dippers??

Nanoparty, Oh good, Whole Foods is only 10 min away. I have to get some...

Tiva, Trader Joes has low carb foods? Is it Deli foods that they have or other products too?

Triple Baconator's all the way, they have gotten me through many a tough spot. Expensive but worth staying on the program! (of course, minus the bun).

But I've traveled and stopped at grocery stores to get my supplies -- cheaper all the way around. I also eat canned tuna and canned chicken breast. Like Artic Mama, I have a cooler with containers of sliced up chicken breast, cold fish, my homemade salad dressing, etc. Bag o' salads are the BOMB! It's all in the prep & planning and it keeps me 100% on plan.

Wishing you much success on your road trip as you continue your LC WOE journey!!
this was especially funny to me in light of how long I spent scrutinizing the cans/pouches of tuna and chicken and salmon at the grocery store today! I swear I spent about 100 years comparing sodium and cholesterol and all the unnecessary ingredients they add (like soybean oil in a "vegetable" broth). A lot of the canned chicken I found had stuff like added food starch too. Now why on earth would chicken even need that?? Ugh. Makes me paranoid about EVERYTHING. Although I do eat in restaurants...I'm just that obnoxious patron that asks a ton of questions and then deconstructs the dish

deconstructs the dish... I it!

Seriously, we have to watch out for OURSELVES -- there are so many "hidden" carbs or ingredients that would bring on those killer crappy carb cravings or make us stall dead in our tracks... I'm not a selfish person, but this is an area where I am VERY selfish, it's all about ME ME ME and what I choose to EAT so that I can stay 100% on plan.

Well, after a week of travel I came home weighing the same as when I left. A plus in itself as I would usually gain because of little to no exercise. Took a cooler and lived on salads. Staying with friends was a little uncomfortable but they were very gracious when I would skip something that was prepared without my participation in food prep or that I knew wouldn't fit into my program. Thanks for all the useful suggestions!
