sugar !!!!! baked beans !!!!!!!!

hey when i started 2 weeks ago i dident realise that my 1 tsp of sugar in my coffee was not allowed, so i just carried on adding it, and im glad to say i think it hasent made a lot of diffrence i am down 7.5 pounds, my male friend startred with me and he has just told me he has baked beans in tomato sauce with his bacon and eggs for breakfast, he has lost 12 pounds, so it has not stopped his weight loss either, i guess its diffrent things for diffrent people !!!!!!!!!!!

1 teaspoon of sugar is 15 calories and ONLY 4 carbs.

so it isn't that much of a deal breaker. his beans, while having carbs obviously, his portion size isn't huge I suspect, so again it is being controlled.

people react different to tons of situations/foods. you do what ya gotta do
if that one tsp. of sugar doesn't bother you, then keep on trucking !!

If it is working, then great...some of us have to eliminate as many sugars and starches as possible to eliminate cravings...I eat suagr or starches and I want more, therefore I have to cut them out as much as possible...beans aren't a probem for me as I don't eat them becuase they cause terible irritable bowel for me.

I won't say "all" but it definitely seems like men can tolerate more than women.
My DH would have a double cheeseburger, fries and soft drink every Friday at work and lost easily.
I could sniff that and stall

it's very true that different things work for different people. This site has boards for many different diets, not all of them are low carb. If someone is interested in doing atkins, I would suggest they stay away from sugar and beans....I think they are fine on other diets, but not a ketogenic diet, not on a regular basis.
