Six Months Into LC's

I've been watching carbs for the past 6.5 months. I did not do an induction and I don't follow either Atkins or South Beach. I do eat carbs but not those from the high glycemic index. I drink Silk milk, 2 carb per slice bread and eat a lot of either eggs or egg beaters. To date I've lost 42 pounds and have ate very well with the occasional chips and salsa at my fav Mexican place. I don't have a goal weight but I want to take off at least another 25 pounds which will put me under 200 pounds. I haven't been under two under pounds since the eight grade which was many years ago. I will continue to eat like I have been and when I am at a weight I feel good with just add things like fruit to go into maintenance. I've recently been walking one mile per day which hasn't made a big difference at the scales, however the dog loves it. I am looking for suggestions on conversion to maintenance and my weight loss in general, so please chime in.

Hi Bill - welcome. Looks like you're doing a great job and you have a good grasp of what you're doing. Your weight loss speaks for itself - about 7 pounds a month is great.

You might want to check out this sub-forum for Maintenance - I'm sure there's a lot of relevant information.

Love that you found what works for you! I think your plan to add some things back is good. Test them out and see how your body reacts. I would recommend checking out the maintenance thread too! Good job on the weight loss!!
