I just know the real thing will lead to something bad. Just a question of if it will take days, weeks or months (unlikely) to break me.
I'm pretty clean in eating like that too. I don't eat low carb versions of stuff right now. In the future I might. To me the option would be to add in low carb bread rather than trying real bread.
Right now it's just better for me to cut out stuff like that. I find eating clean is a whole lot easier for me than to try to find substitutes. But this is what works for me. I like easy.

I guess I'm lucky that I can live without pasta and bread and potatoes for the rest of my life. For me all of those things are just a vehicle for the real good stuff and I don't need them. What's the good part of a potato? For me it's all the good things you add to it. Who wants to sit and eat a plain potato? The same with pasta and bread for me. I want all the good stuff on it, not the actual thing.
So far I haven't had to restrict calories, which is a good thing because I eat several hundred a day in just coconut oil, but I do have to be strict with my carbs.
Everyone's bodies are so different.
You know, I'm not sure how my body will feel if/when I add pasta or bread back in. I've eaten both my entire life, so I can't imagine I'd develop a real issue with either one, but I'm ok not having it if I can't, for some reason. I tend to overeat that stuff, so if I have a bad reaction that may inhibit my cravings! And I totally agree about the toppings...sour cream, butter, bacon...yum!! I do miss spaghetti sauce....will just make meatballs and eat it on them!

That's my cat Moli.

He has the greenest eyes I've ever seen in a cat. They look greener in person than in this photo.
