Non-food rewards for goals met; share yours!

I don't really want to reward myself constantly for doing something that I should be doing anyway, i.e. losing weight for my health, but this time I felt I needed to grab the momentum and make myself happy with something useful after making LC work for me!

So I bought a very girly pink and white bento box with lots of accessories!
I think it will be useful and pretty, LOL! I tend to make everything from scratch anyway and rarely go out to lunch, and usually I end up bringing several different tupperware boxes with me and clog up the work fridge. This way, I'll only have one compact item in the fridge and everyone is happy. And I'm happy because I felt all girlie and pink for buying it, LOL!

So, what are you rewarding yourself with or what have you rewarded yourself with to make you feel happy and proud of achieving a goal or just a whole load of weightloss?

I still have a long way to go, but when I hit my goal weight, I am going to have my teeth professionally whitened. I love the way that looks, so that is motivation for me to keep on truckin'!

All I can say about the bento box is CUUUUUUTTTTE! You deserve a pretty way to carry all your healthy food to work .

One thing I am rewarding myself with is body-related stuff. 'Cuz I gotta love my body and treat it well .

So, I got:
  • my brows waxed about 2 weeks in
  • my hairs cut about 4 weeks in
  • last week I got a pedicure
  • and I'm going to make an appointment for a facial this month. I've never had one, so that'll be exciting.
  • Then, as it gets warmer, I'm going to splurge on leg waxing because I hate shaving and I deserve it! And I'm going to get 'em waxed all summer, don't try to stop me .

I have made a few goals in my head and I told my husband about one of the and he is all for it...Once I reach a 'certain' size (I don't focus on the scale) I want to get my nose pierced - just a teeny, tiny sparkle stud. I've always wanted one

When I get to goal, I would like to have a custom made jewelry armoire built. I've been thinking about it for years. So, that's what I'll do!

p.s. the bento box was a great idea, and girlie!

I can't say that I ever consciously 'rewarded' myself for losing weight. Which is not to say there weren't rewards - getting off all diabetes meds, new clothes as needed due to the weight loss. Even new shoes. Who knew you could drop several shoe sizes by losing weight.

No specific reward, other than I told my DH that we'll be able to go to a waterpark and not feel bad about wearing a bathing suit.

And I do plan on having a closet FULL of sundresses!

When I got to goal, I got a puppy. She's a Great Dane/Mastiff mix. I lost 135 pounds, and she's now (a little over a year old) 130 pounds. My idea was that she'd (other than being a great companion and friend) represent all the weight I lost.

I've been at goal for a year now, and I just had my eyeliner and eyebrows permanently done (tattoos). I consider that a reward for maintaining my loss.

Finally, now that I've been maintaining for quite some time, I'm investing in better, more expensive, and higher quality wardrobe items. I "know" they'll still fit next year, so that's a reward as well.

I'm going to buy a new pair of jeans I've been eyeing. They're $120 but I don't care! I used to spend that on one night at the bar. :-)

Lol, I don't know if these are all things that are kinda of new to you but let me tell you, they're addicting! I have a monthly "beauty" budget for all my mani/pedis and waxing needs. Great reward!

See, my deal is that when I'm down on myself and my weight, I pretty much do the bare minimum of "beauty" stuff. I wear my hair long, so I don't really need to get it cut that often, and I keep my brows groomed most of the time and that's about it. Beyond showering and moisturizing and teeth-brushing .

So when I'm happier and more into myself, I'm more into spending money and time on beauty. If I get addicted to this kinda stuff, I say bring it on! Because that means that I'm happier .

I get to buy new scrubs when I lose a few sizes That in and of itself is a reward, sick of wearing the same 5 pair over and over. I used to have tons that were the size I am now, when we moved we tossed them

Other little rewards:
New (Insurance replaced) phone
Pedicure
Hair Cut & Style

I do not have weight loss goals but I did buy myself a beautiful silver cuff bracelet last November to celebrate one year of eating on-plan every day with no exceptions. The design has symbolic meaning for me & it has become my signature piece. I might get myself another bracelet to wear with it for my second anniversary of on-plan eating but time will tell.

I have to buy new, smaller clothes anyway so I have never thought of them as rewards or special gifts. I like jewelry because it will last & remind me of the special reason I got it. Those pieces always make me smile.

In the past, I have always rewarded myself with cheat days. Not such a good thing to help my long term goals. I have decided this time around that I am going to reward myself with new clothes.

I have recently started looking into mens style and finally bought my first suit ever (I am 36 yrs old and have never owned a suit before). I really like it and want to add another one to my wardrobe.

I figure that while I save the funds to buy another, I will continue to lose weight. My plan is to buy a full three piece suit in navy blue once I get down to 275 lbs. That will actually be the lightest I have ever been as an adult.

Good luck to everyone on their quest for better health!

Wow. That is a huge accomplishment. And I love silver bracelets. I plan to start wearing them again when I can fit into the ones I have

My rewards aren't tied to a certain weight, either. I can't control the numbers on the scale, I can only control how well I stick to my plan.
