starting over.... AGAIN!
well I was doing good. I went from 283 to 243, then I fell off the wagon and went back to my old ways. now I am at 260. now all the pains are back too, sore feet, lower back pain, swollen knees, and dull "all day" headaches. I can say that I felt none of that when I was "low carbing"... I've made up my mind that I will see it though this time!!

thanks for letting me vent!!

cprcheetah 03-17-2014 12:35 PM

Welcome back. You can do this!

natural_born_texan 03-17-2014 01:14 PM

Glad you're back. Luckily you made the turnaround before you gained it all back. :)

ladyinlove56 03-17-2014 01:34 PM

Welcome...this is the place to be when you need a fresh new start over ....:)

leeloo 03-17-2014 02:07 PM

You can do it!

Welcome back!
You can do this!

Most of us don't get it right the first time. I think these 'what not to do' events can be used as learning tools. Welcome back!

snowangel9 03-17-2014 05:19 PM

Glad to see you back. Yep, that's the learning curve for ya! But, at least you didn't regain all of it, that's a win. Hopefully, you can see, you can never go back to your 'old ways'. No matter how much easier it is.

gammazach 03-17-2014 05:35 PM

Yes, the freedom of better health and feeling better makes this all worth it!! We are all in this together.

:welcome: Back!

We've all been there, done that and brushed ourselves off and started over. Hey we're NOT Quitters!!

Let us know what you've decided on as your WOE this time and remember we are all here to support you and each other! Wishing you much success on your LC journey!

thanks to ALL!!
I've been low carbing for 2 days and the pains are slowly going down... I'm still working on my WOE. I believe the key to dieting is though educating myself on what works for me, and I have learned from my past mistakes!!
love this site!!

Jrw85705 03-18-2014 06:40 AM

Welcome back and good luck. The first week was the toughest for me so I can feel your pain. One of the most important things for me to learn, other than what to do, was what not to do. The only way to know what wouldn not work in my plan was to test it out or have a failure.

sbarr 03-18-2014 06:42 AM

All aboard!!

Rosebud 03-18-2014 06:45 AM

FWS, welcome back! This is my 2nd day back too and like you I have learned from my past mistakes. Experience is the best teacher! We can do this and we will succeed. :shake:

Barbie83 03-18-2014 07:51 AM

welcome back! i was dealing with this same issue last week. Be glad you made the turnaround BEFORE you gained it all back. the biggest lesson i've learned here is NOT to look back or start in with the "shoulda coulda wouldas". Just dust yourself off and KEEP MOVING FORWARD! you already know it works. All you gotta do is keep going! :)

Mimosa23 03-18-2014 09:38 AM

welcome back and keep going!

I know how you feel, been there plenty of times! Just come here for support, and we will cheer you on all the way!

I hear you!!! I met my goal about 4 yrs ago dropping from a high of 288 to a low of 170. It was amazing and life changing! I maintained for 3 yrs then wound up moving back in with mom(ugh) and with the help of her delicious cooking, I've climbed back up to 205. So depressing to feel the old aches and pains and uncomfortable clothing. I'm back! I'm with you! LETS DO THIS! Seriously, French fries are not that awesome - being quick on your feet in adorable clothes is awesome.

sounds good!
I've started with the cravings at night again, but I know it will go away....

gammazach 03-19-2014 09:13 AM

dill pickles, water or an activity to keep you busy and not crave.

mimivac 03-19-2014 09:18 AM

This is my second time around, too. Lost all the weight back in 2003 and maintained for many years. Then let it creep back up. Re-started in 2012 and now very close to goal. Loving it! You will get there!

susume 03-20-2014 12:15 AM

Glad you found your way back home again.

jumped on the scale this morning... no loss, but I am already feeling better... so the heck with the scale!!

Willgirl 03-20-2014 08:17 AM

Welcome back! I think most of us have been there before!

Arctic_Mama 03-20-2014 09:43 AM

Just focus on habits, the scale will take care of itself. Feeling better is a huge victory!

gammazach 03-20-2014 10:00 AM

Maybe weighing every 2 weeks would help. Stepping on that lying piece of equipment will drive you nuts and make you want to throw in the towel, so avoid daily weighing. I have to go by the way clothes become looser!!:jumpjoy:

Yes! Dill pickles are a lifesaver when it comes to late night snacking! One of my favorite snacks is taking pickle spears and wrapping them in a piece of deli ham and cream cheese. yum

Being a little OCD, I have to know everyday -- so I weigh myself everyday at around the same time. I've been doing this WOE a long time (every time I lose the weight I thought I could eat like other carb-eating people -- yeah like that WORKED ).

I know if I eat exactly to my WOE plan, the pounds will come off. If there is a "hiccup" on the scale, it's not because I ate something illegal (aka CARBS). There's no way I could wait (or is that weight? LOL) 2 weeks to weigh myself. So, stick to the WOE plan you've chosen religiously and you'll see results if it's the correct plan for you!
