Chicken wings calories on trackers?

Okay so I had 12 small chicken wings last night( no coating ) . It says on a tracker the total calories are 966...Does that make sense?? that seems very high

I think you are looking at full chiken wing instead of wing section...i looked up and got 300 cal for 8 plain baked wing sections. Hope that helps.

This seems more reasonable to me, but still kinda high. I looked at the nutrition for a half a chicken breast and for 86grams it was 142 calories, although this is boneless and skinless. And aren't wings considered 'white' meat.

Try googling chicken wing nutrition. I found a pretty good site that way... Also, unless you are counting calories too, I wouldn't worry about it.

The wings include a lot more skin and fat than boneles skinless...I'm guessing that's what ups the calories.

I think it's accurate. I remember being shocked that each wing piece (even if i looked up "wing sections") was almost 100 calories in 3-4 different places I looked it up. Trackers, nutritional labels (for Wingstop or Pizza Hut wings), etc. The skin and fat really adds up.
