how many Eggs do you eat daily

Sometimes I cant stand eggs but this week I am eating like 5-7 eggs a day. Next week I will probably be sick of them LOl. How many eggs does everyone eat?

Drago 02-23-2014 09:45 AM

Two a day on the weekdays in the form of muffin quiches and three egg omelets on the weekends. The incredible edible egg! Don't ask me about bacon. Heh.

DiamondDeb 02-23-2014 09:59 AM

It varies. I usually have 4 eggs per day but I occasionally have a few more, and sometimes, a lot more. Eggs are one of the best foods we can eat.

I have never once been sick of eggs. Thank goodness!

Madmarsha 02-23-2014 10:02 AM

Two. A very few times 3. I'd like to eat 6 but trying not to. I've never gotten sick of eggs but I feel like I could if I always ate that many.

Annabel Lee 02-23-2014 10:06 AM

I average 3 to5 eggs a day.:)

snowmop 02-23-2014 10:15 AM

3 or 4 a day, 3 or 4 days a week. Occasionally higher, if I make egg salad that week. LOVE eggs.

RoxyRoller 02-23-2014 12:16 PM

I'm averaging at least 2 a day (usually hard boiled), but have had up to 4 or 5 on any given day, haven't gotten sick of them either.

DressageLover 02-23-2014 12:23 PM

Enough that I ought to have some hens!

cfine 02-23-2014 12:52 PM

Minimum of 2 but I have eaten up to 6 in one day

kay9 02-23-2014 01:04 PM

Before i could easily down 5-10 eggs daily but now i only have 2 a day to keep my portions under control.

Margee 02-23-2014 01:16 PM

I've just 'upped' my egg limit to 4 a day. I don't like meat. So now it's 28 eggs a week. I adore eggs and could live on them alone. Lol

I feel great today. FINALLY my scales went down 2 whole pounds after 2 continuous weeks of no needle even budging!! Grrrrrr. Total of 8 pounds now in 1 and 1/2 months.

*hugs*

I eat anywhere from 2 eggs on down days to 6-7 eggs on some up days. Sometimes I use Egg Beaters just for convenience, but mostly it's local fresh farmed eggs from a guy I know at the farmer's market.

I'm a vegetarian and so eggs are my primary protein source.

Larissima 02-23-2014 01:53 PM

I wouldn't eat more than 3 eggs in one meal, but that's because I'd find it boring. Mostly at breakfast. Although sometimes I also incorporate an egg or 2 in a lunch or dinner dish, like meatballs or moussaka.

moondogii 02-23-2014 01:53 PM

I usually have 1-2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast...

mcchimento 02-23-2014 02:34 PM

2 eggs for breakfast every day and then 2 more for lunch a few times a week.

I just started eating breakfast again. I have been trying to make sure that I eat at least 1200 calories a day and this is the only way that I can come close.

Mistizoom 02-23-2014 03:06 PM

Most days I don't have any, but today I had 3 for breakfast.

Arctic_Mama 02-23-2014 03:10 PM

I love eggs - I eat between 2-4 most mornings.

Galveston Gal 02-23-2014 03:12 PM

I seem to go in cycles...:dunno:
Sometimes I will have 3 for breakfast, but then sometimes None...like today.
If I have Oopsies...I count 2 Oopsies=1egg.
I'm trying to vary my food plan, so I get variety.
With that said, I love eggs...plain, omlette, hard boiled, egg-salad, Oopsies...any way you fix them.
:yummy:

ValentineC 02-23-2014 03:20 PM

Really depends on what I plan for meals.

The most is probably 4 per day, scrambled eggs for breakfast, mock French toast for dinner or deviled eggs as a mid-day snack.

Janknitz 02-23-2014 04:31 PM

Interesting that nobody asks how many chicken breasts or servings of kale one eats in a day or week. To quote a favorite blogger, "eggs are the perfect food-there's enough nutrition in one to grow a whole baby chicken".

Don't fear eggs. Eat as many as you feel hungry for, pastured and organic if possible. Always eat the yolks, that's where most of the nutrition is.

LindaM 02-23-2014 05:26 PM

I eat very few eggs. I always feel more hungry after eating them. I will make deviled eggs which stay with me more. Probably 2 a week on average.

Tracy0821 02-23-2014 08:22 PM

Thanks everyone. I ate 7 today. 3 scrambled this morning and 4 with cheese tonight.

Skinny Train 02-23-2014 09:09 PM

I eat eggs in spits and sputters. LOL! Today, I had two. May not eat another for several days.

Ntombi 02-23-2014 09:23 PM

My egg consumption varies by quite a lot, just like my other protein sources. Sometimes I eat 7-8 in a day, sometimes none for several days to a couple of weeks. I don't think about it one way or the other (except when I'm out and want some!).

afurrything 02-23-2014 09:49 PM

Weekdays I usually eat 3 for breakfast then might snack later on some hardboiled ones.
So weekdays 3-5.

BumbleStang 02-23-2014 11:45 PM

I eat 2 hb eggs per weekday. On the weekends I make omelettes with pasteurized egg whites (I get grossed out by actual eggs unless they are hard-boiled :dunno:).

hollyoak 02-24-2014 02:42 AM

I was eating an average of 3-4 eggs a day until I read that they could be a cause of inflammation.
My joints were so painful that the doctor ordered blood tests which showed I did have a very high level of inflammation. I cut eggs from my diet and the pain reduced straight away.
To bad because I loved scrambled eggs for breakfast but I would rather be pain free so I now have half an avocado instead.

Trigger828 02-24-2014 06:18 AM

4-6 per week. more like 4. usually do 2 scrambled with bacon twice a week :)

Wow!
I am going to look into this.
My joints have been hurting.
I am so glad you figured it out and are feeling better!
Have you repeated the blood test now that you have cut out the eggs?

Sleepy 02-24-2014 07:19 AM

4
3 over easy for breakfast and 1 hardboiled added to my lunch salad
