Here it is, March 8. I started this Dec 6, 3 months ago. This morning the scale showed another pound gone, finally. I'm still seeing some subtle body changes. I was hoping that by now I'd be fully into the next smaller size, but not quite yet.
The changes seem to be upper body now, not lower. That's good, too.

You are really hanging in there. Tenacity! You inspire me. Keep up your hard work and never give up, never surrender!

When I was losing, over time my average was 2.21 lbs a month. (I have a spreadsheet) Sometimes 4, or 1 or 0, etc. Very slowly it added up to 60 pounds gone. Without staying focused, I could have easily gone the opposite direction and been 60 pounds higher. I have to say, I prefer lower!

Elizabeth, thanks.
I don't understand why the scale is not moving down. The only things that keeps me going are the changes I see in my body. I'm seeing signs now of collarbones! My body is not as round as it was even a few weeks ago. I feel better, have more energy than I do when eating a lot of carbs.
I have a carb day once in a while, both to shake things up a bit, and because I expect I will on occasion anyway. Generally I eat fewer than 15 carbs a day. Today is about 60.
Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and etc, strict low carb...

Update: Now 4 months with that same 15 pound loss. With the exception of a few planned "carby" days, I eat relatively low carb: less than 20 carbs a day, generally less than 15, and sometimes less than 10. Even carby days, so far they've been about 45 to 80 carbs. Yesterday, Sunday, was about 100. 11 was a minute muffin, 40 of that was 8oz juice, which were conscious choices, hoping the added carbs would restart losing.

BUT, clothes generally fit better except around my waist. I want THAT to shrink, too!
Yesterday, I realized my bras are fitting better, which is wonderful.

Today I was reading the "...cutting dairy" thread, and realized that since eliminating almost all grains (except on the few carby days) and all dairy except butter that not only do I feel and look better, my overall ability to breathe has improved. Though I still lose all my breath very easily, recovery is often faster, and I am, at least sometimes, able to sustain effort longer than I was able to even a few weeks ago. The ringing in my ears is often gone.

I'm still working toward my goal. I am disappointed I am not further along, but it is a worthy goal, and I will reach it.

ella - you're doing great. You've stuck with it and now you're more experienced and are starting to look at other options like maybe reducing dairy and grains and see what is working for you.

I like how you worded the juice as a conscious choice. That suggests that you're in control. Next time you might have it or might not, but you are in control.

Ella, I am really proud of you!! A lot of people would have given up, but you didn't and are winning this battle!!! Woohoo!! Do you even realize what an inspiration you are?? I am losing really slowly too, but like you, I will keep going. Going in reverse won't get me where I want to be... What a great job you are doing and it with an awesome attitude!!

I started this Dec 6, 2013. My last weight loss was April 16, when the scale registered a 2 pound loss. This morning, 2 weeks later, it shows another two pound loss. I don't know if body shape is changing or not.
The last few days I've been eating about 20 carbs, rather than staying lower. I've increased fat via another cup or two of tea/coconut oil and nut butter bombs, (part of the carbs) and decreased protein. That seems to have reduced feelings of hunger, and now it's easy to stop eating when satisfied.
Still going on down!

Great job Ella. I went back to just how long I have been doing LC this time around. 1 month today. I'm hanging out at 5 lbs lost. I had a lot of dairy and AS and butter etc. I could cut back. My goal for May is to get down to 169. I'm not wanting to be in the 70's any more. Going on a Honeymoon to Jamaica May 31. Pray I can do it.
This is no diet. It is my diet forever.

Wow, Stephie51, congratulations on your upcoming wedding and honeymoon. Best wishes to you, not only on the rest of your life, but also to reach your goal.

I feel sort of like you do: I DO NOT want to be in the 10's I'm in, I want to be lower, and I work to get there. For a second time, I've decreased protein, but not as much as the first time. Hopefully that will still result in lower numbers tomorrow. My only dairy now is butter in fat bombs and a bit of butter in cocoa on occasion, and sometimes on sauteed veggies.
Hmmm... Maybe that's part of the slow rate of loss for me...

Yesterday, Friday, May 09, turned out to be an almost all protein day for me, but not by choice. I started out with bptea and 2-3 TBSP bacon bits. About 1PM, another spoon of bacon bits. about 4PM, liverwurst and mayo. Then I discovered that ranch style beans have 22 carbs in 1/2 cup, so opened a can to eat with my 3 oz hamburger last night. I heated the beans, cooked and ate the burger, but did not want the beans.

Today I am down another pound! That was 4 days!

So, today was intended to be a high fat, low carb, lower protein day, but it's just 1m and I'm a bit off track, I think. Breakfast, bpt and 2 TBSP bacon bits L: sardines in mustard sauce and black olives, a bit of fat bomb. S: hamburger/mayo. I would like to add some fat, but I need sleep.
